Listeeeennnnnnn I feel all this, Especially today. It’s always days when I’m more social or have to be social I get this way. And it’s hard to just blurt out to people “IM AUTISTIC” and them actually understand what that means or even care. I’m black and queer so it’s def not talked about so ppl will just say sure. But I feel all this CONSTANTLY. And I try to not beat myself up about it all because I KNOW I’m autistic, but there’s just something in my head like “you’re just not trying hard enough like everyone else.” Tbh if I try any harder to understand subtext, certain jokes, unspoken rules…imma pop a blood vessel in my fucking brain. Neurotypicals really just don’t get how blessed they are to be in a world where their version of communication is the standard🙄

There is a lot to learn here and it’s very important for people to understand this perspective, as, many people probably feel this way, but it takes your honestly for people to hear it and say “wow, I really did feel that right”

Hearing your voice crack really caught me... *Hugs* Internet hugs might not mean that much, but thanks to another great example of a guy who had his asd spotted early on, so it's an understood part of him I now offer them as freely as I wish I could feel comfortable offering irl...
