The ability to swipe without your finger getting snagged constantly especially when running a tempered screen protector is a huge selling point for me. Love what phone rebel does. Also for the price the air series 2 is an absolute banger
There is a version coming with the camera control button. I was told in an about a month it should be ready. This coming straight from Phone Rebel customer service.
@@giovannirattin5884 The PR website does show the Gen 6 with a camera button, it's in the Ultra Tough button set photo. It is shown at 14:46 in this video
I just got mine in the mail yesterday and I love it. I became a phone rebel fan when I got one for my IPhone 12Pro max. I now have a 16 pro max and it feels so good. The quality is worth the price IMO.
I’ve been a phonerebel fan ever since he did leaks for the iPhone phones them selves I would really like if he would change colors like carbon fiber grey ? Maybe the air2 can be frosted ? Or also grey do a limited edition version case for a 10th anniversary? Just saying he’s a sold case manufacturer so hopefully he reads this message and takes a note about the case version 🙌🏽
I’ve got both the frosted gen 6 and aramid fibre Gen 6 and will also get the gen 6 ultra when that come next month. Phone rebel been my Main case for last 2 iPhones I had the 15/16 pro max
Nice review Brian I love the phone rebel cases I bought the frosted and the aramid fibre ones but by the time you have paid shipping and customs and including the case of course your talking €120 a lot of money for a case 😊
I was going to wait for the Ultra button cover version, but I went ahead and ordered one on Amazon. I get one every year. I did NOT like the back claws.
That also is there from the TPE in the corners and other shock absorbing technology in there. The claws add a little bit, but not much. It's still a very protective case and has good drop protection.
@@Brians_tech I was always confused about the TPE in the corners. Don't they only protect against corner drops? How would they contribute to cushioning face or back drops if the strips aren't wide enough to extend to the front and back edges? I thought that only the lips where responsible for cushioning face drops.
@h1a8 so it’s shock absorbing TPE. It’s mostly for the corners but it still helps absorb the shock from other drops around the corner areas, which are the most sensitive parts. It still has the claws around the screen, just not on the back.
@@Brians_tech I'm confused. I said "The claws gave it additional drop protection for back drops. I wonder how this case now fairs from back drops." Then you replied with,"That also is there from the TPE in the corners..." I assumed you meant the TPE protected the phone from BACK drops since my original statement was ONLY about that. Did you lose track of what was being said?
@h1a8 No. The TPE in the corners will still help with back drops because even though it’s on the corners, when the phone lands on its back, that material is there to still absorb some of that shock that travels through the case. So it still will help with some of those back drops. Might be a little more difficult conveying the message over a comment.
@@Brians_tech It's been really good. I always have preferred being able to look my the color of my phone and the improvements to grips has been much more comfortable . I would try the rebel but I've always felt that they get grippy over time.
I wouldn't pass on this one. The cases currently with the camera control button aren't the best ones out there. There are better cases right now without the button than with the button.
That’s a mistake. I just got mine in last night and it’s worth every bit of $50. The fit on this case is unrivaled by anything on the market and the look and feel is fantastic. The cutout they do for the camera control is done really well, it’s not huge. I’ve spent more on cases but this one is worth it.
very disappointed with this case. feels like a cheap rip off of the gen 5. mine has gaps in the camera ring frame to the body also, flimsy lame case, not worth the premium price.
I think you might have a defective unit. I don’t have any of those issues with mine. Haven’t heard them from others either. Maybe try to contact phone rebel. Might be worth a shot to get a new one.
@@Brians_tech I did contact them, they really didn't care, just said ship it back for a refund. no apology or nothing despite sending them clear photo evidence that it was garbage. there's no way that case has anywhere near as much drop protection as the gen 5 imo.
I bought gen 6 frosted after seeing your video. got a screen protector with case but that dDoesn't cover the screen, which screen protector will give edge to edge cover (16pro max) and will compatible with this cover. thanks
I use the Flolab onetime screen protector and it covers the whole screen and also works with this case. But hold off on buying it because they're coming out with an updated version of it very soon.

Yeah I emailed them and they said it should release by end of year, so I'm assuming that's December.
At 14:46 it shows the case with the camera control button. It’s hidden on their website in the accessories section, but shows what it will look like.
@@TheNickGuy408 Nope, doesnt has camera control button
That's awesome, 100% a future purchase once they add the camera button.

do I have to buy the ultra orange to be able to connect the ultra limited or is the ultra limited able to be installed on its own?
No it can be installed on its own
Thanks for your review, unfortunately the rebel phone cases have gotten too expensive. When Philip first started out, they were a great value.
They've gone up $10 in 4 years

It definitely looks beefier
It's actually thinner than before.
I just got my Gen 6 Frosted and the custom buttons take care of the button height issues imo

hi! it's me again XD
This or the caudabe sheath?
For me, I prefer the sheath.
But they’re also kind of different cases. So it’s difficult to compare the two.
