Mine did not work on sloped terrain until I took the rear suitcase weights off, installed bar type tires, liquid filled and 75 pound weights on each wheel. Works great now.👍

its a great machine. been using one for 2 years now. only problem with most JD mowers are that they don't really work well when its raining

Thanks for the question, Damon. John Deere doesn't recommend mowing on slopes greater than 25 degrees with a commercial front mower. Here's a link to that portion of the safety manual. manuals.deere.com/omview/OMTCU33469_19/OUO2005,0000166_19_20140327.html

Awesome machine, but we would never pay this amount for a machine until we can see the cut quality of this rear discharge in varying conditions. At the end of the day that's what us contractors want to see.

They are very well suited for all the situations you’d find on typical farm. They have a wide stance for stability on hills and rough terrain. Plenty of power and a comfortable ride in the Standard Equipment ComfortCab.

Just been trying to find a cab mower tractor style or front deck like these 1585s. Seems it is quite hard to find any equipment in stock these days.
