Wow. This video is NOT what I needed to know. I just had a simple question but I couldn’t stop watching! 😂 I love learning & I love plants & this video was the greatest combo of the two subjects coming together in a brilliant way! Thank you!
MadameNORVIN Thank You ..After GOD Your are my 3em Mother's Doctor Was Anathem in your Face evenYou Was Fitting with Coulangette maman Sorciere Britain's NAN....LA Charoniere 1953....
i know this is super old and all, and I didn't look through all the comments yet, but I noticed that you said 4:36 that two diploids come to make one haploid where it is two haploid different sex gametes coming to form one diploid embryo. just adding it here incase no one else did :)
also to add onto this, the prothallus (gametophyte generation) will have either OR male or female gametangia, meaning it is bisexual which is when archegonia and antheridia can occur on the gametophyte but at different times and spaces. Not to be confused with hermaphroditic with means it have both sexual organs at the same time generally in the same place.
I’ve got a question about the life cycle of ferns: each gametophyte is germinated from a spore, so if the the spore is haploid, why the gametophyte contains both female and male gametes (the eggs and sperms )? Thanks 🙏
it DOES photosynthesis, on each picture you can see it´s green ( if somewhat different green than the sporophyte). Only some special gametophytes don´t: they live under the soil-surface and have nourishing mushrooms as partners in symbiosys
I guess the spores belong to the sporophytes but when the spores develop they become gametophytes.. that's just an expectation, in other words, my statement may be wrong..
the spores actually are the gametophyte already, its first cell. Spores are already haploid, so the could not belong to the ( diploid) sporophyte-generation
isn"t it amazing that the fern is both male and female at the same time at some point in its life cycle? it really makes today's debate over human gender rigidity look trite!
absolutely wonderful video, wish my prof was half as good as explaining this stuff as u r
Same!

This is so simple and clear, yet complete.
Great lecture.
You made this so much easier for me to understand. Thank you!
Brilliant ! Clear and straight to the point.
I'm so glad I didn't understand this in class. Now I've found this wonderful channel
Great video! Only on 4.42 you say it's going from diploid to haploid, but I think you meant the opposite (you wrote it correctly!)
Very good Video... I like the comparison of the Moss and the Fern close to the end... It cleared up some things for me.
Thanks.
this video has answered absolutely all of my questions. outstanding sir.
Amazing explanation, very concise but complete !
I watched this video about 5 times I completely understand what a great video thank you
Play the video speed at 1.5x to save time
I would like to see you make a video showing live specimens of each part of the life cycle!
Just finished the Moss cycle, this video was also very helpful. Thanks from a struggling bio 2 student!
this was very helpful.....I was able to make my own notes about the fern....thank you so much!!!!!
really thank you for learning this
Hyghkk
Superb man superb hats off thankyou for making my life so much simple u are wonderful I hope u do well
Perfect, my teacher said we should study the life cycle of mosses and ferns, and this has both!!
Plants are amazing. I never knew they had a multicellular haploid phase of their life cycles.
Thanks for these videos! Very easy to understand. But I like to start off with the spors because I think the egg came before the chicken haha
This video has Made my life easy

Are we aloud to start at any point when making the cycle?

i cant thank you enough.. the video was perfect! :)
Hello, very nice video. I would like to ask, how is it possible for haploid organizm to produce both sex gametes?
cool vid. but that gametophyte generation is also photosynthetic, right? how else would it get energy and material for growth?
THIS WAS EXCELLENT. BRAVO
Thank you for the educational video!
there's a mistake in your narration at 4:37 - Narration should say "comes from two haploids coming together to make a diploid"
+D. L. Mag heard it too was confused for a minute there
This guys explained it better than my teacher
I feel so relaxed listening to your voice...
Thank you so much, you have a great TH-cam Channel! Seriously!
Very cool video! Thanks!
can u please make a playlist for bio stuff??? Its hard to search sir
FINALLY! A biology video with someone who doesnt have an impossiblly thick accent!
very nice voice you have
What does dominant cycle mean?
Make more vids why did u stop
So helpful! Thank you
are this is the bryophytes life cycle?
You mixed haploids and diploids... Haploid is (n) and Diploid is (2n) you reversed them
Is the archegnoium or antheridia the actual gametophtyte or does the gametophyte have them inside?
gametophyte is prothallus , so archegnoium & antheredia are inside
Great video
SO helpful thank you
Where does the mature gameatophyte get its energy if it doesn't do photosynthesis?
it DOES photosynthesis, on each picture you can see it´s green ( if somewhat different green than the sporophyte). Only some special gametophytes don´t: they live under the soil-surface and have nourishing mushrooms as partners in symbiosys
Really helpful!!!
Very helpful!
its feel like bored but i understand of some parts like antheridium and archegonium gets mixed to form a zygote
do the spores belong to the gametophyte or the sporophyte generation ??
I guess the spores belong to the sporophytes but when the spores develop they become gametophytes..
that's just an expectation, in other words, my statement may be wrong..
sporophyte generation
you are right
the spores actually are the gametophyte already, its first cell. Spores are already haploid, so the could not belong to the ( diploid) sporophyte-generation
just what i needed!
Cambells biology!
p.657 haha
thank you thank you.
Hey guys from WCC
Ballin'
;)
WHO IS HERE 1 DAY BEFORE EXAM IN BIOLOGY? LOL
xd
Thank you!
where is the mitosis?
Thank you...
awesome
very helpful
Thank you
😰
life cycle? that is what it is?
How do fern reproduce asexually?
Wow
Thanks
Good
So the gametophytes fertilize themselves?? Where is the genetic mixing?
Thx
Roll no 832
supeb😊☺
Clearing your throat in the first few seconds really doesn't make the best first impression!
god
sup. explano sir
isn"t it amazing that the fern is both male and female at the same time at some point in its life cycle? it really makes today's debate over human gender rigidity look trite!
Too quiet, plz speak up, so i can learn something while i die of boredome
He is fine
dont lke it its boring
soo boring.
Thanks Pretty Much !!!!!
Well, Now I Won't Suffer While Studying This Anymore :3
Make more vids why did u stop
thank you
Thanks
Wow
