I think that when the river is at it's lowest in the summer, in the center of the bed, at a close viewing distance, you & Uber should plant a heavy duty, long cast iron pipe (painted white) and mark each foot up, with a number and a line for each foot. That way when the water is raging, you can see how deep it is. Just for fun & teasing, screw a sign on top that says "Mike's crossing gauge", just to immortalize it. Life will never be dull with Mike on the mountain.

Others suggested bags for emergencies.. and I know you'll eventually fix it. BUT.. what about a small storage shed on the other side of Creek with some things to manage the problem. Like waterproof bags with extra clothing, the chains that you need, a small roof to stay safe.

Suggestion: have the earth moving company that did your friends on the 41.3 dirt work, dig the or a canal where the creek is. This deeper area will allow a controlled flow and a small area to build a smaller bridge. :)

You will have to build a large berm high enough to clear the flood area and put concrete slabs on the berm to keep it from washing away. Best of luck with that! Hope you get a bridge soon! Another option is to install a ferry type barge that is permanently stationary that travels back and forth on a pulley system.

That was good, triple D is the besr. I had a phone incident with my phone. It seems as though I-phones do not like dishwater. I was watching You Tube while I was washing dishes and I had the phone in the window seal while I was charging it. Somehow I got the cord wrapped around my wrist and pulled the phone out of the window and landed in the dish water. I should never have taken the charger out of the phone because the charging port swelled up and I couldn't get the plug back into the phone. The phone worked perfectly until it ran out of charge!
My school is four towns so we had families their kids can live with if something happened and parents had to go bags with them . My kids went to grandma's. However my brothers and I brought are freinds to our home and they called their families told them were they were staying we had clothes to everyone. Meals might be iffy but everyone got feed and farmers brought food in when they could pick up their kids.
Since you all now live secluded, I hope you take the lesson about keeping extra warm clothes in the car / truck, just in case. Learned that lesson the hard way when we got caught in a sudden cold snap at my grandparents house, in southern Oklahoma and all ny brother and I had were our summer clothes. It wouldn't hurt to have some sleeping system in place as well, bed roll and such.

Hey Verizon freaked out when I brought in what was left of my phone. A little wire a piece of chip Some melted plastic from the phone fell of my hoody pocket into my fire pit that was hot enough to fire some ceramics pottery in. They never had any One say they lost their phone n have evidence 😆 take care y'all be safe out there👍🤗❤

I had a car (trans am) that went into the creek. We dried it out change all fluids several times, new carpet and stuff and drove it for 5 years more before getting a new car. Some men know what to do to help get Mike’s truck back on the road

David, we also had tht water problem here on our property. Because here in Ky we get all tht hard rain as well here during this time of the yr and during spring. Heck we get it pretty much yr round. Anyway, we also had to put in a few culvert’s here. But the “big” one we had to put in was the one we had to put in tht comes up our driveway. We thought if we had this big professional bridge done with concrete and all tht would have to stop this water from washing out our drive. Well the rain came as always and the water started to rise and after a couple of days of the hard rains , there went our bridge and driveway. All tht concrete and rock after the water finally went down was just laying there in the little natural “creek”. I don’t think it’s really a creek because it’s only up maybe a little past ur ankles when it’s at its normal place. But needless to say, we didn’t put all tht concrete and stuff back when we had to have it rebuilt. And Mike, I understand tht u guys wanna do ur videos better by doing all the editing and stuff to them, however I think once ppl start to change and things just because their camera comes on, which I understand to some point ya kinda have to, 😂 but once all of tht happens tht def takes away all the fun from the videos. Thts what keeps folks coming back, is seeing the real side of ppl. Of seeing just what happens in ur everyday lives. Like when u trip and fall and bust ur butt or drive into some high water 🤣🤣🤣 now Thts keeping it real. 👍 I think u have done a great job Mike, ya can’t get anymore real tht what u have shown, and I have to admit it was funny. David, we also had tht water problem here on our property. Because here in Ky we get all tht hard rain as well here during this time of the yr and during spring. Heck we get it pretty much yr round. Anyway, we also had to put in a few culvert’s here. But the “big” one we had to put in was the one we had to put in tht comes up our driveway. We thought if we had this big professional bridge done with concrete and all tht would have to stop this water from washing out our drive. Well the rain came as always and the water started to rise and after a couple of days of the hard rains , there went our bridge and driveway. All tht concrete and rock after the water finally went down was just laying there in the little natural “creek”. I don’t think it’s really a creek because it’s only up maybe a little past ur ankles when it’s at its normal place. But needless to say, we didn’t put all tht concrete and stuff back when we had to have it rebuilt. And Mike, I understand tht u guys wanna do ur videos better by doing all the editing and stuff to them, however I think once ppl start to change and things just because their camera comes on, which I understand to some point ya kinda have to, 😂 but once all of tht happens tht def takes away all the fun from the videos. Thts what keeps folks coming back, is seeing the real side of ppl. Of seeing just what happens in ur everyday lives. Like when u trip and fall and bust ur butt or drive into some high water 🤣🤣🤣 now Thts keeping it real. 👍 I think u have done a great job Mike, ya can’t get anymore real tht what u have shown, and I have to admit it was funny. But try to keep from breaking any bones and don’t be water rafting without ur damn kayak anymore 🤣🤣 BUT, if ya do make sure u grab ur phone and video it because I think u could send tht into America’s Funniest home videos and become 🤑 rich! 🤣🤣🤣 have a awesome wkend guys. 🙏👍

Where I live is 3 ways in and all 3 ways are low water creeks that will high tide flood Our rule is if you can't see the middle come back home or go check the other spots there have been times when I was scared to cross so please check 8efore trying
