Can anyone give me some context with "Gener's gone"? When I first heard it I tought it was about him leaving the band around 2011 to focus on being Aaron instead of Gene, but some comments here say he even played this in 2006... so I suppose I was wrong PS: Chocolate Town would have been a great plus to this set. Even so great performance!
pretty sure the song has something to do with him coming out of rehab. this was the 2nd time he performed it publicly. first time was in 2006. you should check out brownbase dot org. it a great setlist resource for ween related stuff
Dean didn't leave. Gene left in 2011 after his on stage "meltdown" and going into rehab. He came back in 2016. This is just Gene doing a solo thing 4 years prior to that (well sort of solo, he has Ween bassist Dave Dreiwitz too).

noochnooch gene’s timeline from here to 2011 was ridiculous appearance wise. The Vancouver show was 4 years later to the month right? He went from a young man to an old man in 4 years. Obviously a lot to do with drugs/lifestyle, but it also makes sense for who he is. Skipped middle age

Some sort of flanger. The purple Boss flanger is a good one.
Sounds like a phase pedal to me. Probably the same kind Deaner uses.
