I just went here on the very last day it was open to the public (8/31/24 which was last weekend),and got to take one last final ride/video of this elevator and even took a few pics of the inside of the mall as well. I was very lucky to do that since I made a day trip with my Dad to Frontenac, MO and a few other locations around the St. Louis Area! R.I.P. Chesterfield Mall 8/31/24 (no longer open to the public)
WOW!!! This one sounded like it had firecrackers 🧨 popping inside its guts!!! And I’m surprised that floor 3 wasn’t locked out when AMC closed its movie theatre and the escalators leading to and from the top floor were taped off-all mall management did was put tape across the elevator front to keep people from entering the theatre level-SO SAD to see this beautiful mall go-most of my life,my family and I went to this mall MANY times-Chesterfield WON’T be the same without this Mall!!! A very tragic end!!!
@@EWH2024 i remember andrews video there was a old otis scenic hydraulic elevator and he accidently pushed the alarm button for door close it had a epic motor

That was the elevator in Dillard's. It was an Otis Lexan from the 1970s.@@wereswdfgrdesd
