    Hi everyone! 🎈
    For our Explore Architecture With Us series, I’m taking trips to world’s most fascinating, distinguished and celebrated buildings to experience their extraordinary architecture and design!
    In this first video, I ventured into Turkey’s much-debated and extremely unique Sancaklar Mosque.
    Comment below if you like/dislike the deconstructive Sancaklar Mosque, designed by RIBA winning Emre Arolat?
    And let me know which influential architecture you’d like to see next on Sia Moore Design’s TH-cam Channel!? 📌

      Apologoise to be rude but this is absolutely disgusting and nothing to do with Islamic Culture and Islamic religion. This is pretty much grave. I f you are not explaining what is it no one will know about function of the building. I would stop now. Thanks to showing us this stupidity in the name of Contemporary Art. This is destruction of one historical meaning as everything's going today this way by non educated younger generations.

    It is wonderful to see a modern mosque design that still gives you inner peace spiritually, woow people from any faith, and makes you feel proud

      And this is what a mosque in Islam should look like --humbleness, spirituality and in union with the environment. It is in stark contrast to the greedy capitalist/modernist-inspired Camlica mosque. I'm in awe.

    For me... the mosques are a living element. Like the people trees..animals.....And I support the mosques to have the touches of the architect of every era.
    Yesterday , today and tomorrow....

    My only concern is the different levels on the prayer area. Some people are elevated above you? Or is that just an area for lectures only? If thats the case it's still a concern for me

    • @adina_4176
      @adina_4176 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The only concern? What about the small, two fenced, place for women? Turkey is the most admirabile of the muslim countries regarding the perspective of women, but when you come from the west you wonder: are they more men then women? Are we blind and don’t need to ser beauy when we pray? Nou I think that our place îs outside, over the mosque and this makes me happier for muslim women.

    It feels serene and beautiful in its simplicity. Love minimalist design and sacred calligraphy. However, I could not see the other side of the screen that separates women from men.

    • @Siamooredesign
      @Siamooredesign  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you’re right, unfortunately the shooting angle was not suitable for exposing the other side of the screen :( Thank you so much for watching the video 🙏🏻🙏🏻 this place is one of the most captivating architecture in Istanbul, Turkey!

    i think meh. "minaret" is the only slightly interesting part and i'm not buying grass growing between seemingly old stones as a oh wow thing. i think the interior design looks like a metro station so claustrophobic.

    First of all, what do you think is the design idea? Can we say that my answer to this question is that the simplicity and modesty of Islam is integrated with the topography and wanted it to be a part of topography as if it was always there?

    Voice of turkey an international shortwave am radio broadcasting company just sent me a post card with this mosque on it. I believe the Muslims have a common ancestor the half brother of the Hebrew Isaac. Ishmael
