@ just imagine knuckles or shadow constantly restartinga scene because they keeping messing somthing up and then just getting fustrated at the end. that is going to be some comedy peak.
Dang, there was many changes. Like the lightning, knuckles being in the frame when shadow starts to bully em 1 by one, sonic face when he was mad, and more
This is a good example of showing the production team were on a tight schedule in getting decent finished shots for the time a trailer needed to be released, but continued their efforts to make those same shots perfect for movie release date.
Nah, they didnt change, they just put early versions in the trailer, so that the actual thing looks better than people expect, its marketing@@etetgg1364
1:43 Ha! Almost feels like they did that on purpose! Remember how we all used to believe our 4th character would be in this exact scene next to Knuckles? They obviously centered the three in the final film
@@pedro-t4k6c (Some possible spoilers that may be silly for the film) In fact, looking at some comparisons, it only seems that the film underwent a greater color treatment compared to the trailer and some slight lighting adjustments, from something silly like Shadow's eye shining brighter, to bigger adjustments, like greater impact. the lighting of the scenes on the characters or the reduction of "wetness" in the eyes, which visually seems worse, but I think that based on the purpose of the scene, it would make sense for the eyes to be more opaque so that there isn't as much emotion in the scenes simply. Apart from the fact that the darker style, in addition to a choice made in post-production to sell a more serious film, was also due to the improvements in CGI that I also mentioned earlier, it is noticeable that many changes in the tones of characters like Sonic occurred due to the reflections of the lights are more reactive, you can see different shades of blue in Sonic in the film, while in the trailer Sonic was drier. To be quite honest, the CGI in this film is fantastic, and I think the only moment it failed was during Eggman's exposure, it's noticeable that in certain scene changes, the bottom of his "walnut" seems to have much less energy, probably I would say it was a problem with the editing, I think that scene with Eggman would have had a glimpse of the ship losing its strength but it didn't make it into the film and we had that slip, apart from the scene with Tails and Eggman blowing up Gerald or the scene with Eggman wearing his special outfit to resemble animals (which to be honest, they were a little weird about the scenarios, but I could understand that the proposal was to convey that Eggman had the ability to imitate animals from robotic ones).
1:21 In the trailer, Sonic looks much more boyish and with slight feminine touches (I don't know, he's in such a light tone that he looks a bit like Amy, I think because of the silios and eyes that are more prominent than they should be in reference to what the character is), while in the film he seems much more mature and similar to Sonic Adventures 2, apart from the fact that he doesn't seem to have a plate on his face and has a much more serious posture when understanding who he was about to face. 1:26 the different look of Shadow's boot thrusters, besides changing because of the history of skates there, makes it look much more like a thruster, not a rocket on the feet
What I think many people don't realize is that a lot of these changes aren't exactly "changes". A lot of scenes are shot/animated differently specifically for the trailer for various reasons. The scene with Knuckles and Tails at the start of the trailer for example removes their lip flapping as it would look odd while Tom is narrating. Also in the same scene, Sonic's floatie and chilidog are replaced with a more "default" stance to eliminate any possible confusion caused by the lack of context. This also applies to little things such as the red glow at 2:29 Another example is at 1:21 where Knuckles was removed from the scene to improve the flow of the trailer as the scene in question actually takes place before his defeat (actually as I'm writing this I noticed that the moment Shadow grabs Sonic, Knuckles just kinda vanishes that's a bit odd) And finally at 1:55, this trailer shot is entirely made for this trailer alone to introduce the Eggman team-up in a more direct and trailer-friendly format, as opposed to the slower buildup of the final film Making a good trailer takes a lot more effort than just taking clips from the movie and calling it a day. Not only do you need to know what's marketable but you also have to make sure that neither the flow nor immersion are disturbed by even the most seemingly insignificant little details. I know that editing trailers to cover spoilers is a commonly known thing but as a film student I hope that more people will start to realize that it goes a lot further than just that
That looks cool. Do trailer 2 please. Also, I’m glad they made some differences in the first trailer, even though I wish they kept some in the first trailer, but I like the improvement in the movies also.
The amount of editing they had to do to make these trailers are crazy. Especially spoiler btw In trailer 2 when shadow said "you were right about one thing. This ends now" how in the movie he was super
we'll it's more like they make changes while animating the final. Trailers are usually rushed to look finish and are usually the only scenes finished at the time of production. While working on coinciding scenes they probably redid the shots in order for consistent lighting and facial expressions
Nah The darker colors gave Shadow a menacing and villainous aura, Which might fit for a trailer hyping his appearance but not in a movie where he's supposed to have a redemption arc at the end
YES I'mpretty sure that sonic face is got bit more rounded and tails fur texture got more crisp and detailed than before. Thx for the comparison, my eyes didn't disappoint me.
Technically there are differences on every second and every footage, these are just tiny differences, like in the movie everything seem to be brighter than the trailer. The color design is different a little bit, even in the scenes where there is no animated character, i noticed some more light around and a little bit of changed colors. Seems like they really worked hard to make this trailer beautiful
Sonic: "Dude I'm standing right here , now come on you can't take us all at once" (Takes them all at once) Sonic: " Ok he took us all at once" Shadow:" Weakling (Gets on motorcycle & grabs gun) don't try to follow me"
