- We dig into the carburetor of the 1964 Fairlane and run it through our new ultrasonic cleaner! Tested out a couple of solutions and got the car dialed in and running great!

Watching you two reminds me of my dad and the arguments we would have while working under the hood. Good natured fun, but also maddening 😀.
Haha it's fun, some times it gets heated, but mostly just picking on each other fun
I couldnt help noticing your Dad's Rush shirt! I'm a huge Rush fan.
Hey! LOVE the Fairlane. Glad to see dad has a sense of humor. Keep up the good work.
It is good you are working with your Dad. It looks like you are having a good time. Keep the videos coming.
Nice to see you back.
great video enjoyed it a lot, love those old cars, you guys do it good
I learned something new today. First time I ever heard of butter tarts, and now I want one, lol.
WHAAAAATTT!!! YOU HAVEN'T LIVED IF YOU HAVE NEVER HAD A BUTTER TART LOL!!!
Exactly the identical model 64 I had bought from my older brother way back when. Straight 6, 3 speed on the tree which I changed to a 68 302 C4 combo, Love that car my all time favorite, Incredibly clean car!
New subscriber, found you from the D&D Speedshop Channel. Good to find some Ford Guys
I have the same ultra sonic and have seen the best performance with Purple Power and yes the plastic wasn’t allowing the sound waves to pass through. Use glass bowls or just don’t worry about dirtying your cleaner and put it right in the basket. I haven’t needed to go more than 3 minutes with purple power. Usually have a toothbrush handy too
Another option you might try is to use a dilute vinegar solution and put the parts directly in the basket. The less dilution the more acidic, so adjust as you like. An advantage is you can empty and use fresh vinegar solution to clean any residue or contaminants you think might be in the pan if you wanted to put something in it like rings or whatever.
+1 for vinegar solution, i use distilled water and vinegar and couple of drops of dawn dish soap
Noted, will have to try that for the barracuda carb coming up
An ultrasonic cleaner is definitely on my list for Santa 🎅 😂
Its It's handy little machine. Ask Santa if he's got one for a whole car! If so, see if he can deliver one to my place!
@@Theoldcarchannel. My kids could've used a pool sized ultrasonic ........🐽
@@johnsarian_cu LOL
Great channel! My guess is you are from Ontario, what town?
Another great video
Hey, just letting know you forgot to put the link for the ultrasonic cleaner in the Description.
Ah thank you, I think the model I have is discontinued now anyways but I'll see if I can find the link and post it
My experience with plastic containers combined with the heat function of the ultrasonic cleaner was not good. It may have been the solution I used too. I used that carb dip stuff that comes in the can. My plastic container deformed and leaked.
other than the aroma pine sol works well.no fire hazard.
Nice
I want your white fast back Soooooo bad
Nice video Mike ! Is that a '65 Barracuda I see in the backround? I learned to drive on one of those back in the day.
Thanks Paul! 66 Barracuda, same thing! That's awesome, should have a video on it shortly to bring back some memories
@@Theoldcarchannel. Hard to mistake that rear window, lol. Look forward to the video !

You just made a Sous Vide carburetor!
I thought you didn’t like to cook?
Check out a channel called Mustie1. He does a lot of carburetors and they come out great
U should have brought a new carb waiting for the rusty white car and you driving it I have no place to park the white car
Folger's Coffee? Won't they revoke your Canadian citizenship for not drinking Tim Hortons? 😂😂😂😂
LOL🤣🤣 IS THAT HOW I BECOME AN AMERICAN CITIZEN!? IF SO WHERE DO I SIGN THE CONTRACT!
@@Theoldcarchannel. Even at the risk of no more butter tarts lol?
@@perotekku would gladly drop the butter tarts to move... you know the states have 100x the amount of sweets that we have in Canada... I'm sure I can find a substitute 🤣🤣
Dentures! LOL😆
