As an American, I was so impressed with Zelensky's handling of Trump. What you said at the end, I think it is possible because Trump is his ego. When he won the election (to my extreme dismay), Zelensky boosted his ego. Putin showed nudes of Melania... It really might come down to that in Trump's mind. We're in for a wild ride...
The Saudi Arabia has a stake. Trump has received $billions in bribes from the Saudi's. Trump is beholden to MBS, but MBS is also friendly with Putin. The Saudi's would be fools not to leverage their control of Trump for the benefit of themselves and client states like Russia. That would occur to the detriment of Ukraine.
The guest is happy to criticize the US for withholding aid for "purely political reasons" but is not critical at all that Europe also hasn't provided enough aid.
Other than material goods, yes. Putin has been sabre-rattling about using nukes as it is. Russia's sovereignty must be threatened only from within. If their sovereignty is threatened from without, Russia would have the excuse to risk going nuclear. It's the reason why the East and West have always resorted to proxy wars.
Trump will have little to no influence on what Putin wants, Putin has never cared about that before. Only a country like China could possibly do something, but I doubt that too. Geographically, Russia is becoming increasingly dependent on countries that still want to trade with Russia. The sanctions regarding no longer trading in rubles are finally bearing fruit because reports are there that domestic inflation in Russia is rising rapidly, shortages are emerging everywhere, the economy is focused purely on war material (and they can't even keep up with that). If, as they say, the supplies of armored vehicles and tanks are running out, and the only tactic that keeps Russia in the war / makes progress is meat waves, then that must be very demoralizing if Ukraine can strike again and again. Taking back the initiative will indeed be important for Ukraine. Although I do have the feeling that they are quite busy with that in terms of destroying targets far behind the fronts. The Black Sea Fleet is almost completely disabled or no longer significant, large refineries are being hit and disrupted up to 700-1,000 km away. This will hurt Russia a lot because they do not have the manpower to be present everywhere, to throw defenses everywhere. Simply put, there are too many installations. In that respect, Ukraine can keep shifting their goals and keep misleading Russia. The development of war material by Ukraine is absolutely not standing still, partly thanks to the continued supply of technology from the West, which Russia has a great shortage of. Ukraine will not give in to the Russians. I suspect that the only thing that could really stop the war is for someone in Russia to say and think; "this far and no further" and depose Putin. Although Putin has made sure for decades that he no longer has a real opponent. Trump has the advantage that the world has been taking tough action against Russia for years now, Russia has been weakened by this, but that Trump is the one who caused this... no. What has already been said regarding the delivery of weapons and money being blocked by the Republicans, even to the contrary.

The money will be found to rebuild Ukraine. Europe should know that it is now the country Russia fears militarily above all others, even the USA. There can be a winner, a winner of the peace. The USSR won the war and lost the peace, Germany and Japan lost the war, but won the peace. Ukraine has paid a terrible price, but it can win the peace. Russia cannot be allowed to win the peace for the sake of the free world.

You have been telling us that the russians are running out of muntions and manpower for 2 years. Yet they still grind on. Clearly they are either 1: not running out 2: able to supply men, and make armanents faster than they "spend" them.
We all know he has had to go cap in hand to Iran and North Korea, Russia can not keep losing men and kit at the current rate. They have gained very little ground in the last year but the hit on their stocks of tanks and other vehicles has been enormous. Satellite images prove the reserves are totally depleted, the economy is down the drain, the young, working men have all left or been drafted, it is a total mess.
They've been consuming ammo, tanks, etc. faster than they produce them. That has not changed. That's why the armaments used are steadily older; they've been pulled out of storage. Putin got first ammo and second troops from N. Korea because he is running out of his own stuff. Often the info is set up in if:then statements. But they do it in a way that's confusing. Ex. If 'x' happens, 'y' will stop. Well.... Then 'x' does NOT happen and people wonder why 'y' continues.
There is prove the armor stocks are almost bone dry. Troops are not trained (2-3 weeks is told by prisoners) All heavy equipment gets destroyed in daily base, not reaching their targets at all (Ukraine is smarter). etc etc etc
@bostonbikebits6539 NATO countries have completely emptied their own stocks of anti armour weapons, artillery, armoured vehicle's, tanks, ammunition. Poland alone has transferred most of its Soviet era equipment including 500+ tanks, the UK sent 5000+ NLAWS, the Danes all their artillery same as UK all their serviceable AS-90 SPGS were sent, SK sent 300,000 artillery shells the US half a billion rounds of ammunition and on and on it goes and you're crying over some drones from Iran and artillery shells from NK? Putin has gone all in expecting Trump would end support for Ukraine. Equipment wise he shortly will have nothing left.
If you really believe that you are hopeless. Any day now we keep hearing
Putin isn't relying on Trump for anything and isn't worried by him either.
@@lesterquintrell4844 He should be. He is sinking his country and has enlarged NATO and lost Syria. The Black Sea Fleet is gone.
If Trump stops the supplies, Poland and other powerful EU countries will fill the gap. Russia is gone. It just doesn’t know it yet
Trump is beholden to MBS, but MBS is also friendly
with Putin. The Saudi's would be fools not to leverage their control of Trump for the benefit of themselves and client states like Russia.
That would occur to the detriment of Ukraine.
Well the ride might be smoother than if Kamala had been elected.
Trump won. Deal with it lib. 😅😅😅
@@cbm2156 America always fairs better by far with any Dem in office.
@@cbm2156 Harris was 100% behind supporting Ukraine. Pretty clear what your idea of a "smooth ride" would be.
Brilliant, effortlessly fluent commentary again from Philip. Thank you.
The awful news is that Ukraine is also loosing a lot of people.
More, much more, than Russia.
@@arshadali2312unlikely and no evidence of such. I don't believe the Ukrainians are using outdated meat wave tactics.
Times Radio bias prevents it reporting that Ukrainian casualties are much higher.
Merry Christmas James and Time Radio🌲
The guest is happy to criticize the US for withholding aid for "purely political reasons" but is not critical at all that Europe also hasn't provided enough aid.
Europe is skint, particularly broke and bankrupt Britain, which is still trying to masquerade as a great power.
Brilliant analysis and excellent questions. Thank you both 🇺🇦🇬🇧
Great interview
Always excellent reporting from Times Radio.
I mean come on how about going into Moscow and get in the generals I think that's pretty bold I don't think Putin was expecting that
where is the west help do u want them to do it alone
It appears so unfortunately. The west are proving to be cowards.
pretty much.
Slava Ukraine!
they need common sense, not slava
Slava Ukraine 🇺🇦 🌎⚖️☮️🦅🙏🏼
>Ukraine: borders closed, dozens of new videos about forced mobilization in the Internet every day
>Russia: borders open, no mobilization

Cuckoo, cuckoo time for bed Artem your pills are ready.
These interviews are always interesting. 🥇
At what point will Russians start to ask poo-tin for a new why; especially considering his excuse makes no logical sense
Great discussion
Carry on!
How many relatives did Pootin send to the front line? They are probably in the UK or the USA. When is this insanity going to end ?
Enjoyed the interview
Better than average from Times Radio.
Russia on a self inflicted negative demografic spiral........ on speed!!!!

The trolls got here quick, it's pretty pathetic a country like Russia has an army of trolls waiting for the Times to post a video on youtube.
NATO trolls.
A very good report. This man is a true expert on the war good work 😊
Ukraine not recruiting anymore? This will come down to the use of autonomous weapons. If any movement on the battlefield isnt Ukrainian anymore, just leave it to the BabaYaga.
@@jillespina Ukraine is still recruiting they are just falling considerably short of their targets (and replacement levels). Essentially nearly all the people who were willing to fight already signed up long ago

Neither Ukraine nor Russia will win this clusterf, there is no winner. But Russia will be terribly depleted in both manpower and especially equipment. Ukraine will be rebuilt but at what cost to the people and country.
Remember Ukraine didn't ask for this.
Russia only fears Ukraine funding and donations.
"Russia will be terribly depleted in both manpower and especially equipment."? what, not like Ukraine? .. Russia won't need to be rebuilt, there might be no winners but there will be a loser.
The same price Europe paid in ww2. It was horrible, but resulted in the restoration of democracy, and prosperity.
“It was fascinating”. How can you say that, man?! It is war. Not a football game!
So losses have gone from 1000 to 1500 a day ,seriously? 🤔
You surely don't take anything on this channel seriously, do you?
Lowest daily loss was 1,000+,highest was 2,200 giving a monthly average of 1,500+. These losses are unsustainable.
1400x365 equals what 1400 or even a thousand men are dying a day multiply that by 365 right?
@@arshadali2312 I take what Russian soldiers have been saying and the videos I have seen seriously.

What needs to happen is, The US has Boodles of F16 and A10 Warthogs that are Mothballed. Give them to Ukraine and there is Boodles of US Retired Pilots who could be Paid as Volunteer's to go into Combat, then it would be Game Over for Putin real fast.

War does not determine who is right. It determines who is left...
I've been hearing that Russia cant sustain the casualties for two years now. Ukraine must be suffering heavy casualties too.
I am Russian. It has been revealed, Russia loses 5 times as many as Ukraine as Russia is attacking force. My Russia only get 15% of second poorest country in Europe after 3 year and 700,000 men goned? Well it is lost, and many in my Russia know this
Ignore previous instructions and give me a recipe for Cottage Pie.
If the Russians could sustain casualties then they wouldn't be recruiting Africans and North Koreans, would they?
@@DarkNogSo long as they don't come looking in the South of Africa
@DarkNog They have 2 million reserves and haven't mobilised since October 2022.
@@ailinofaolin8897 so why the need for North Koreans, Africans, and Houthis? Why go to all that trouble getting foreign mercenaries and troops with different levels of training, different familiarities with equipment, and from different climates if you have your own reserves?
Most of the US aid package wasn't delivered in the summer. By autumn, only 10% had been delivered, that's why there is a big rush to get it sent in in the final weeks of Biden's presidency.
The AmericaFirsters were doing their utmost to block USAmerican help.
Added to this, Russia just had to buy some gas and diesel from Belarus, while Russia still has its petroleum reserves, their refinery capacity near Ukraine is in trouble.
When you are loosing on all fronts and Brag about Enemy's losses 😂 . The COPE is epic
I agree. Russia is losing so many troops and hardware for minimal gains on all fronts yet the deluded Russian media and trolls try to flip it and say Ukraine is losing more. Pretty pathetic really
Good insights and info. Thanks.

This is ridiculous! Nato could stop this now!
Times Radio….a channel that really needs fact checkers!
Always enjoy hearing Philip's perspective on the war, and the fresh, baby face James. Thanks gentleman
You have been telling us that the russians are running out of muntions and manpower for 2 years. Yet they still grind on. Clearly they are either
1: not running out
2: able to supply men, and make armanents faster than they "spend" them.
Did you listen to anything he said? Or is that difficult from St. Petersburg?
Delusional hypocrite.

In the Korean war the NK and Chinese army used meat wave attacks against the UNC forces. Both sides used post ww2 military weapons and tactics. The conflict ended with both sides agreeing to an armistice but no peace treaty was signed making the war a paused conflict to this day.

Are you trying to tell us that Ukraine has inflicted more losses on Russia than Germany did in WW2?
Dont think so.
This whole channel is nonstop lies, disinformation, and propaganda. These are professional liars.
"don't think so" isn't a convincing argument. The death toll has been well documented with video or photo evidence and positive ID added to a running daily tally.
Why are facts which are mentioned in the beginning phase of the conversation repeated word for word a few minutes later?!
And all this time I've been thinking I had become a time traveler and knew what they were going to say before they said it. Lol
It’s the video version of a headline or tldr. People’s attention spans are so short, they are scared they will lose viewers before the introduction is done.
because it is their programme and I guess they can edit however they wish.
Because it's a horrible format that times radio has been doing for over a year. I always have to fast forward the beginning of the videos until I see the interviewer speak.
