They just kill me. All the music is memorized, the dance moves are fantastic, and for the life of me I have no idea how they can dance so vigorously without it affecting their tone even a little bit. No bubbling of the notes at all. I am more than amazed.
I literally watch at least one of their videos a day , or just let it roll just to hear it in the bkg . Kind of bummed we dont get to see the new kids march this year so far.. such a great music club this school has
The Kyoto Tachibani SHS Band is a perfectly oiled machine, all the parts working in unison, and to think, they are all high school students....this is the first time I’m hearing the initial bugle solo...amazing..all their videos are hypnotic because, we are looking for mistakes and there are none....just amazing talent..great job Drum Majorette and video crew....
Thank you for taking the time and effort to work on improving the image quality of the previous upload. I could probably watch and enjoy an one hour loop of the 5:37 sequence and still be amazed how brilliant that move is. The 2014 performances are really something!

It's always enjoyable to see this again, especially the run and shout maneuver. This video is the first of two rounds (Kyoto Regional) where all they are doing was qualifying for the next round which is (Kanasi Regional) which they also achieved . It was at the All Japan National Marching Finals where unfortunately there was a 'missque', and while the remainder of the performance was excellent, that mistake cost them and they were awarded Silver. Even then... just getting to the finals is worthy of a gold.

Post Script: For Krizz to view this video, It was her first experience to view the Kyoto Tachibana Senior High School Brass Band Club ever. Her responses in her reaction video are both priceless and hilarious. Her honesty and her expressions made me laugh so much.
This band, by converting marching into dancing while maintaining a very high level of musicianship, is about conveying humanity and joy. There seem to be few other bands like it (such as the Izumo Commercial), though many have adopted particular aspects of KT’s style. Perhaps they have discovered that KT are best to cheer people up on dark days, or to inspire them more generally. An alternative, unique approach to conveying happiness, in a way that also involves dance, is offered by the Sapporo SIT band. However, they completely eschew the marching tradition and indeed do not take part in competitions. They are well worth discovering. This blows my mind. I've been playing cornet/trumpet since I was 6 so 21 years. And I can't even imagine dancing while playing. This is amazing 🔥🔥
