He can’t believe what Sam is saying... that she loves him and wants to be with him despite him job. You can see how emotional he’s getting hearing that. Something that no other woman has said to him😢
This is one of the many reasons why Jason loves Sam. She makes him laugh, feel joy, be hopeful and makes things easy for him. But most importantly, she made a home for him. It's the first time in his life that Jason felt complete because he found in Sam someone that accepted, supported, understood and loved him unconditionally without any judgements. For, Jason decided to propose to Sam and to tell her that he was in love with her. He wanted to spent the rest of his life with her. In return, Sam did the same, she told him she was in love with him. It was the very first time they exchanged "I love you's." After Jason fell in love with Sam his life completely changed because from then on he couldn't imagine his life without Sam. He realized then and there that he needed her probably more than she needed him just because Sam was the only person that was able to bring the very best version of Jason to light. A version of him that didn't need him to change into someone he wasn't. And that's something he knew and he liked it. That feeling and the fact that not only Sam embraced Jason's lifestyle but that she also thrived in it made him more determined to have Sam always be a part of his life no matter the circumstances. Jason would always make a point of remain in Sam's orbit in spite of whatever is happening at the time. Let's remember that at this moment Jason made her promised not to get involved in his business. However, interesting enough Jason was the one that got Sam involved in his business because he trusted her implicitly and wholeheartedly. It's important to mention that Jason has never been able to do that with anybody else in his others relationships, not even Carly. It has gotten to the point that now a days, Jason doesn't take a step in his business without first consulting with Sam or a least letting her know what's going on. She is his go to person, his confidant and his backup. Since they fell in love, they became more than lovers. Sam became Jason's Bonnie to his Clyde. So, from then on, they became unstoppable, unbreakable, undeniable and inevitable. Ride or Die'till the end!! Blessed be!
This is what Jason didn't get from Robin or Liz or Courtney at all in these relationships! They didn't except what Jason did with his life and was trying to change him! But the only one that didn't want to change and did excepted for who Jason is was the love of his life Samantha McCall-Morgan!
This scene IMO is what immortalizes their relationship and understanding. Cemented forever. The one thing he's wanted and never allowed himself to have or even vocalized to another soul is all in this moment. A partner who sees him for who he really is and what he does and isn't afraid to love and be close to the ugliness of what that entails. She's so secure that she expresses this time and time again after this scene and it's like a refresher for him. He's never had that with anyone. A true sign of how up until now -- this is the only pairing that could work as far as longevity goes. The normalcy of it all is what makes it stick. He's just lookin at her like, man -- this is what I want. Holy crap. She's giving this to me. #jasam4evvvvvaaaa
True JaSam I just like to pretend that some of 06 07 and 08 never happened. The writers block going on toppled with the fact new writers came on board completely decimated the characters we see here. Such a build up for these solid characters torn down for fan service with his pairing of Liz. I in no way drink haterade lol, I think he had solid pairings with both Courtney and Liz -- but this is what the standard is. The chemistry and the time it took to build this relationship. Courtney and Jason were a whirlwind. It was appealing cause an aspect of it was forbidden. Same as this one. His best friends mistress. Off limits. With Liz I do believe the chemistry was genuine and the time to pair them and be a supercouple was in 99. They were set up that way. A purity to the affection he had for her was a big thing for their relationship. .but these characters have evolved since then and new characters show new dimensions to them. . I actually read that Rebecca and Steve wanted the pairing to happen but not the way it did. The writers on board had no intention in paring Sam and Jason -- but one would be blind to see that tv gold was in their midst! Lol. I tend to rant about this because man -- this was a staple in my house for years. Lol. Mother daughter bonding. In 07 I was 20. Ive been watching since 92 lol ... Now in my 30s, I'm still a die hard fan of the pairing. Apologies for going on and on. You've gained 2 fans w what you do! Thanks again!
Actually you can help me decide what I should do about 06 07 08. You see I hated those years, soooo....of course, I remastered them into my own Jasam story. One in which, 07, Jason was basically trapped by liz (because of Jake and guilt that he had hurt and betrayed Sam so badly), as 07 proceeds Sam moves on and he is angry and regrets losing her. He basically fantasizes about her constantly and at the end of 08 is doing everything he can to get her back. Sam on the other hand is with lucky but when jerry jax comes into the picture she gets mixed up with the son of Karpov (none other than Val from DTWS) as part of a take down she's working on with both lucky and Sonny. How did I accomplish all this- I used cartoon flashbacks/DWTS interviews as cutscenes/and a lot of cutting and pasting. Its absolute fantasy but actual plays out a hell of a lot better than the Jason loving liz bullshit that occurred during that time. My question, should I post the originals or the alternate version?
Never apologize I love hearing feedback and stories. Mother daughter bonding for me too. I'm the daughter though and early 40s, though I act like I'm 10 at times. I never liked Liz and Jason, but liked Liz as her own antagonist character. She was just too shady to Jason, although I never saw the early years. I understand their deep friendship. When liz is evil, she is malicious but portrays the good girl much like Drew. I always thought they were a better couple because BM never played Jason like Jason, he was more of a LIZ, hoping to whatever suited him at the time and always putting his needs/desires first. Never taking responsibility for their wrongs. I'm glad you enjoy the vids and thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it.
True JaSam if it's not that much if a hassle, post both. I know I used to watch cropped up edited videos of people who just mashed what they wanted as opposed to how it really played out. Go for it. It could get nasty w the liason fans so just beware. You could always block off comments to certain videos should it get too nasty. I've seen some battles lol Now I'm a jasam fan thru and thru. Never any doubt whatever they do to the characters. But that doesn't mean I cant vocalize and agree that his other pairings happened and they worked for their own space in time. But I think that characters and their pairings -- are thought of in a certain headspace. Like -- they know ahead of time who's endgame. Luke and Laura will always be endgame. Unfortunately their time has come and gone -- but pfft. It's just the way it is. Sonny and Carly too. Very few get you to a place you see red cause they're broken up. Lol
I found it funny how Courtney accuses Sam of "using sex to get what she wants" He was falling in love with Sam faster and harder than he did with Courtney and they weren't sleeping together yet! And at the time they were arguing and when Jason proposed, they'd only slept together once! That we know of lol
I love how Sam just casually says she feels all the things about his business that Jason has needed from the woman in his life, things he never had with anyone else. He's over there in awe, realizing she's the one for him, and she's just chowing down. Lol. Again some of my favorite scenes! They have always had a genuine connection, a real friendship, and true acceptance of one another. I hated this whole Bridget storyline, but I guess it did give us some really great scenes!
I actually loved the bridget baby thing cuz it gave us the just so dumb gorgeous hunk scenes. Like the proposal, I love how romantic it is and then he busts out with I'm part of a business that's brutal. Or how Jason's preparing this romantic dinner answers the door and theirs sam with a baby. Does he send her packing like any normal guy would, no he's on board to help her adopt and raise a stranger's kid, even marry her right then and there. I love this man.
True JaSam what I meant by hating the storyline was how bridget randomly showed up, quickly gave up the baby, all of sudden everyone was involved in her life, then she changed her mind about the baby in a matter of weeks, has a job at Kelly's, and disappears off the face of the earth. We got some great scenes, but we also got Sam telling Jason she never loved him! 😭
Yeah but we knew she totally didn't mean it.:-) No I agree, but they were trying to show how fragile Sam was and I understand the instinct to want to do what brought her and Jason together in the first place. She was grasping at straws because he told her they couldn't be together, she left thinking he would stop her, regretted it, and wasn't sure what would happen when she told him she missed him and wanted to come back. Not quite mature or rational on the matter the only thing that would guarantee Jason taking her back into the apartment was if as in the beginning he wanted to take care of her for the baby's sake. Remember Jason is the type of man who can't resist a pregnant damsel in distress. At least, that is the way I surmised the writing strategy. I think it was good in developing Jason and Sam's insecurities and the irrational nature in which they find reasons to be together or come apart with out admitting the truth which, in its admission, makes them completely and helplessly vunerable to the other. Each other's last shred of armor.
I agree totally! Jason didn't get any of this with Robin or Liz or Courtney! But he did get with Carly! But most of all he did get the right girl for the rest of his life! And that's Samantha McCall-Morgan!
So she see them kissing and happy, than Jason tells her that him and Sam are together, that he is willing to marry her cause he wants to, she takes in the bridgett and than all of a sudden Bridgett wants to baby back! Even though she has no job and cant take care of the baby. Jealousy is ugly! First she talking about how shes going to back off and let Jason go, than she tells Sam how much more Sam amd Jason have In common more than her and Jason. Talks to Jason about how Sam makes him happy, than she sees that Jason is falling in love with Sam but now all of a sudden Sam is using Jason and he never cared for Jason, she was using him and Jason is suffering! Glad Jason put her in her place!! He loves Sam!!
Yeah Courtney was annoying she literally talked Bridget into taking Hope back out of spite. I agree when Courtney saw how in love Jasam was especially with Hope she immediately went into crazy ex girlfriend mode and went out to ruin Jasam happiness. I hated Courtney at this time.
That's what I said....I think I commented on the video before this about Courtney wanting Bridgette a 16yr old unstable runaway to get a baby that she can't take care of from a stable home were she's being loved and we'll taken care of. And like Sam had stated before if Bridgette was some other kid she would go through her organization but because Sam has her baby now all of a sudden she wants to take her in
Agreed. When I rewatch the Nikolas and Emily videos and the Jason and Sam videos I realize I hadn’t hated anyone that much since Lily Rivera Corinthos. I hated Courtney’s character.
1st proposal: During first "I love you" after dinner (01/14-17/05) 2nd proposal: on the ship Vacation before getting capture (08/09/05) 3rd formal proposal with ring: @ the Hospital before getting started with Robin's treatment (11/18/05) 4th formal proposal with symbolic ring: Dinner @ rooftop (07/21/11) Blessed be!

Courtney was such an envious little witch, mad because she thought she had Jason wrapped around her finger and Sam came along and shut that down.
