I had the 2099s back in the day. I believe I had Spidey, Doom, Ravage and Punisher. But I lost them all when I lost my collection. I'd like to get them back at some point. I can't imagine they're too expensive. The 2099 line didn't really take off. Those Warlock number 3 and 5 are ubiquitous in Ollie's multipacks. I have a few of each simply from buying those packs.
From the 90s, there was a shop that was a combination sub sandwich and comic book shop called Planet Heroes. It was there that I learned about the Tick comics and picked up issue #3, first print, which thankfully I still have. It was also there that I was “bitten” by the Harris run of Vampirella, which I also still have. Thanks for sharing your 90s collection - great stuff there!
That Marvel Comics Presents issue with She-Hulk is the first time she "breaks the fourth wall". ...and yes, I have that foil Silver Sable #1 from my childhood! LOL
Pretty late to comment this but oh well lol. You mentioned how the issue of Scream is worth more now after Spider-Man 2. Scream takes over Mary Jane in the game for a level. Great video Mike!
Great trip down memory lane man. I was born 1990, so alot of those were what I was seeing on the racks very early on. Happy Thanksgiving my man & much 🦃🦃
I remember that "Namor #1". Was a good issue, and a good run. I didn't buy into any of that 2099 madness. Those books just didn't appeal to me for some reason. I felt the art was sub-par when compared to the mainstream books for sure. Loved that entire "Sensational She-hulk" run. Aside from the 4th wall nonsense, the stories were fun, action-packed, and the art was great. "Marvel Comics Presents" was consistently good back in the day. Always liked "New Mutants", especially when Claremont was writing the book. It's funny how Liefeld is roasted so much these days, because when he first came on the scene with his New Mutants work, he was one of the hottest artists in the business. "New Warriors" was fun too, and I have many of those issues myself. Great stroll through memory lane, Slayer! Was fun.
Do you have any trouble with the cover on Sensational She-Hulk 1? I have two copies and both have the cover detached but no damage to the spine/staples
I have "Sensational She-hulk #1" (and the entire run) in my collection, but didn't have any detached covers with the first issue or any of the issues. That's a bummer that both your copies have the same defect.
I absolutely loved everything about comics in the 90's except the print runs! 😂🎉
Great as usual!
I appreciate it thank you 😊
What a great era
I think all those books are pretty cool to really cool. Thanks
Glad you had a great time watching.
Very awesome
I started selling comics in 1990.
So I sold almost all those comics at one time or another
I worked at a comic shop in the early 90s so I seen them or had most of those books that you showed. Brought back a lot of good memories.
Great box. Seen a few I need to add to my collection. Ty
My pleasure love Alot of these books.
That Wolverine vs Venom comic looks insane!!!
Cool collection bro 😎
