I use my 6qt Instant Pot to make yogurt too. It does an awesome job for yogurt and makes it really simple. I have a Cuisinart food processor and a Vitamix. My air fryer is a 6qt Corsori, and I love it, and their recipes are to die for. My 6qt appliances are ideal for four adults. I also have a Tribest SlowStar juicer. It is a gravity fed, masticating juicer. I like it because it does a really great job and it is quieter than any other juicer I have looked at.
If you wanna make “fried” foods & roasted veggies often, the Air fryer is your best friend! The kitchen won’t get so hot, it reduces your oil intake & it doesn’t dry your food out. It’s amazing!
Great selection of kitchen gadgets. I like my technology, it makes food preparation and cooking easier. Because I am single and live on my own I don't need a big food processor and I also have a mini oven and a mini hob(which is needed to be replaced).

I got an instant pot for Christmas last year and an air fryer for Christmas this year lol. My family knows I love cooking! I haven’t tried the air fryer yet. @@laurentyler3518 It's as if it were brand new. Vitamix fixes models until they are beyond perfect! I use it every day and have never had an issue ( I also get all my big ticket kitchen items refurbished - including my nutribullet blender! Save $$ for the exact same item!)
I don’t mind the coming up to pressure time. We never count the “coming to a boil” time when stove top cooking...and that can take a while with a full pot too.

You can get a refurbished Vitamix for a bit cheaper. I have one of the basic models that was refurbished and I love it! Never had any issues after having it for 4 + years of using it on a daily basis.

First off, got to say, I do love watching these appliances videos! :) However I do find it a slightly bigger issue in the vegan community on TH-cam that very often you "need" so many appliances to make the recipes. I just wish more of the recipes posted didn't use appliances. A lot of these you can't get ahold of outside of the US as well :)
Fly Vegan Recipes I think it’s worth it for the beans! I wasn’t a fan of garbanzo beans in a can. Once I made them in my instant pot I became a huge fan. I can eat them with just salt and pepper warm from the IP.
If anyone is thing about getting a VitaMix I'm here to tell you its honestly really worth it. My parents have had one for 12 years now and it still works AMAZING! Honestly worth the investment. I did also get the ninja blender/food processor combo when I was in school and it was also great if you are just starting out in cooking and if you don't have a lot to spend on kitchen appliances.

I've definitely been keeping my house very minimalist and I recently gotten rid of my Keurig for a pour over and I also donated my crockpot since I'm vegan and don't use it nearly as much. I finally upgraded from an old magic bullet to a high powered blender. I can see why you need all of these appliances for your work and passion. This helps us decide which ones we really need.
I love my Vitamix!!! I got it gently used on Craigslist for $175 2 years ago and it also came with the smaller pitcher. Deal of a lifetime! I want to get a nicer food processor and now you've got me looking at that Ninja multi cooker. I do have a birthday coming up...
Caitlin, did you know about the blade recall for Cuisinart? Most of the blades that have rivets on them were recalled because of the risk of them rusting and tiny pieces of metal going into the food. Mine is only 5 years old and it was included. The good news is they will replace it for free.

Love my BlendTec! I have had the same one for over 7 yrs and gets used almost daily. I have 2 InstantPots but wish I would have known about the Ninja Foodi before getting the 2nd one. I am really wanting an air fryer but I am out of space. I have a Cuisinart food processor I use occasionally, mostly for shredded potatoe crusts. I love my Cuisinart immersion blender...bought it several years ago for less than $20. I also have Kitchen Aid mixer I rarely use but glad I still have it. I also have an old Magic Bullet we use as a coffee grinder and I grind flaxseeds and oats in it. Great review of your gadgets!
My lifestyle has changed since i changed my diet and my appliances also changed. I usually purchase high-end appliance because of constant use and preparation that is required cooking from scratch . All i can say plant- based / vegan diet is a lot of work however, its worth it! I'm enjoying the journey.
Vitamix is totally worth it!!! They're usually like 100 dollars cheaper on Amazon and even cheaper when refurbished. I just got mine and it has a 10 year warranty and it lasts more than that. It can be used to make nut butters and nut milks, you can juice with it if you get a nut milk bag, and you can make soup and dressings. I use mine 2 plus times a day. I hated chunky smoothies and it was so freaking worth it
I'm pretty sure my family has a slighty younger version of that cuisnart food processor(its at least 25 years old). I'm a little attached to it. Are things still made this way? it doesnt feel like it. Total fan.

I currently just use knives; a hob & oven in a standard cooker; and a microwave. I also have a small fridge and pantry. But I would like to make soups from scratch instead of buying tins. And I would like to make salads faster, and prepare vegetables for cooking faster, and buy dried beans instead of tinned beans, and cook them quickly. I would like the minimum number of appliances, and I want small sized appliances for preparing single portions. But I want high quality that lasts. Unfortunately, small sized appliances usually equate with cheap, low quality, and short lifespan. Your review helped a lot, as I am a beginner. I have spent my whole adult life eating junk, such as microwave ready meals, and ready-to-eat snacks from packets. I now want to eat healthy, but I still want food preparation to be as quick as possible. I don’t mind spending a lot of money on appliances that do a better job, are easier to use and clean, and that last.
Ohhh i kinda wanna get that ninja combo because i like how it's downsizing but a little concerned about the noise. I currently have a the magic bullet and a big food processor but i need a better blender, especially one that can hold more because sometimes making food for more people is such a hassle. BUT I LOVE MY AIR FRYER!
One thing I cannot live without is my Instant Pot MAX and Cuisinart Convection Air Crisp Toaster oven. If it wasn't for limited counter space and lugging that big heavy toaster oven out of storage I would be using it a lot more than just once a week since I love my pastries from the freezer and making all kinds of grilled cheese pizza/bruschetta toast. I can even air fry chips with that oven.
Thanks for the Vitamix ninja duo comparison. I agree the Vitamix is a beast but I can't justify that with my finances atm and that duo sounds perfect for me till I can justify that Vitamix one day, plus it's just me and Im mostly gonna do smoothies, italian ice and grind spices
You should make baked whole parties in the instant pot. Cook at least 5 potatoes for 10-12 min then let natural release for 10 min. AWESOME. Creamy, moist and delicious. Even better out of the fridge the next day.
I totally recommend an air fryer! I bought a semi cheap one on black Friday and I LOVE it. I would totally suggest getting a high quality one right off- I'll definitely be upgrading when my current one breaks (or if I can find a new home for it)...maybe to the Ninja Foodi?
I have an instant pot, foodi grill, ninja bullet style blender, crock pot, and immersion blender. Those are the essentials for me. I’m thinking of getting a food processor because I chop a lot of veggies by hand and I don’t like the mess or time in takes but I’m intimidated by them. I’ve never used one.
Do you ever make rice in the instant pot? I make congee but I am afraid that it sticks if I make normal or sticky rice which requires little water..I saw that there is a ceramic non stick inside pot that you can buy but ccannot find it on french amazon yet..used to make it in this old rice cooker given to us by my bf's mum but saw that the nonstick surface is kind of coming off and that's cancerous I think

I bought vegan instant pot recipe books as well as air fryer ones, but I want recipies that have the grains cooking, while veggies are steaming or something like that so I utilize all of the foodi's features. What are your tips for air frying tofu without oil? Just got an air fryer last week: I coated my tofu with cornstarch/spice blend (no oil), and after 10 minutes there was still raw cornstarch and the texture was more dense/hard than crispy. (also greetings from a fellow Caitlin!)
If you think the sealing ring is the reason your IP is taking a bit longer, you can actually buy new sealing rings. I’ve seen a 2-pack on Amazon for about $5
Traveling in a camper van I use the smaller version Instant Pot - it is wonderful! - works just like the larger one, but obviously more space-efficient. I also bring an immersion blender which I can use for soups or I can use it to make smoothies in a large thermal cup. Also more space-efficient in our van. Thanks Caitlin!
I have the smaller version of the old Cuisinart food processor that my MIL gave me and it is AMAZING. If it ever dies I will be so sad because I have had new ones and they break within a year.
I had that same ancient food processor! My mom gave it to me because she wasn't using it and I loved it. I used it for years but sadly it eventually broke and I don't like the new ones nearly as much.

Your review helped a lot, as I am a beginner. I have spent my whole adult life eating junk, such as microwave ready meals, and ready-to-eat snacks from packets. I now want to eat healthy, but I still want food preparation to be as quick as possible.

Ohhh i kinda wanna get that ninja combo because i like how it's downsizing but a little concerned about the noise. I currently have a the magic bullet and a big food processor but i need a better blender, especially one that can hold more because sometimes making food for more people is such a hassle. BUT I LOVE MY AIR FRYER!

One thing I cannot live without is my Instant Pot MAX and Cuisinart Convection Air Crisp Toaster oven. If it wasn't for limited counter space and lugging that big heavy toaster oven out of storage I would be using it a lot more than just once a week since I love my pastries from the freezer and making all kinds of grilled cheese pizza/bruschetta toast. I can even air fry chips with that oven.

Thanks for the Vitamix ninja duo comparison. I agree the Vitamix is a beast but I can't justify that with my finances atm and that duo sounds perfect for me till I can justify that Vitamix one day, plus it's just me and Im mostly gonna do smoothies, italian ice and grind spices

You should make baked whole parties in the instant pot. Cook at least 5 potatoes for 10-12 min then let natural release for 10 min. AWESOME. Creamy, moist and delicious. Even better out of the fridge the next day.

I totally recommend an air fryer! I bought a semi cheap one on black Friday and I LOVE it. I would totally suggest getting a high quality one right off- I'll definitely be upgrading when my current one breaks (or if I can find a new home for it)...maybe to the Ninja Foodi?

I have an instant pot, foodi grill, ninja bullet style blender, crock pot, and immersion blender. Those are the essentials for me. I’m thinking of getting a food processor because I chop a lot of veggies by hand and I don’t like the mess or time in takes but I’m intimidated by them. I’ve never used one.

Do you ever make rice in the instant pot? I make congee but I am afraid that it sticks if I make normal or sticky rice which requires little water..I saw that there is a ceramic non stick inside pot that you can buy but ccannot find it on french amazon yet..used to make it in this old rice cooker given to us by my bf's mum but saw that the nonstick surface is kind of coming off and that's cancerous I think

Can you please post some Ninja Foodi recipes? I'm having a hard time finding recipes that utilize all the features. I bought vegan instant pot recipe books as well as air fryer ones, but I want recipies that have the grains cooking, while veggies are steaming or something like that so I utilize all of the foodi's features. What are your tips for air frying tofu without oil? Just got an air fryer last week: I coated my tofu with cornstarch/spice blend (no oil), and after 10 minutes there was still raw cornstarch and the texture was more dense/hard than crispy. (also greetings from a fellow Caitlin!)

Traveling in a camper van I use the smaller version Instant Pot - it is wonderful! - works just like the larger one, but obviously more space-efficient. I also bring an immersion blender which I can use for soups or I can use it to make smoothies in a large thermal cup. Also more space-efficient in our van. Thanks Caitlin!

I have the smaller version of the old Cuisinart food processor that my MIL gave me and it is AMAZING. If it ever dies I will be so sad because I have had new ones and they break within a year.
