its simple scarcity. Barely any male ops among a sea of female ops so the rare male ones have the feeling of uniqueness
He can 1v1 Steam Knight on H11-4 and Black Snake without retreating with his S2M0 and Gladia alone. One hell of an operator
I mean he also can do the same with his s3, bro is just that OP when pair with Gladia. He the strongest AH charecters with all the buffs from the team while also give a noticable buff for the AH chars. Outside of AH, He is still a strong nuker with shorts skills CD and decent Up time but we already have Mylar, SA, Surtr Texas Yato and some more doing well at nuking and killing elite or boss type enemy. Rolling for him just to using outside of AH team isn't the best idea expectly when his banner is right afters 2 of the strongest charecters in the game. But he is a force for AH teams player like me.

I Doubt it. I guess they will cooking smt even Walter is scared of in just fews months. I remember the time when Surtr was consider a game breaking charecters and peoples thinks there won't be any 'worse' charecters. Right now surtr can be consider a 'decent' charecters compare to some news chars we have right nows. I remember the time when i can clear all the stage with lowers stars charecters as my own. Now clearing a stages with lowers stars charecters is extremly hard.
Tonight, Ulpianus joins the hunt
Some guys made some math and apparently with max AH talents he has 12k hp with 30% dmg and heals around 500hp/s, ironically this makes him the best arts defender of the game…
Not 12k hp
With full AH, 17k hp is possible
17k hp, 6k atk, and 596 hps on s2.
Goes to 18k, 8k atk, and 650 hps on s3

You have the talent wrong. The abyssal hunter talent grants 50% of both the HP and attack bonus, not just HP.
I was already waiting for him as AH is my fav faction, and damn does going full AH with him make him go super sayan

If you gonna pull for him, keep this in mind:
Currently on CN, him changing places with S3 counts as him redeploying. So except his traits, he triggers/loses stuff like SSS stacking buff, IS relics and effects (like the Collapsal Paradigm on IS4 which makes units lose % hp on deployment or the Rejection on IS3 which makes units freeze for 15 sec on deployment) and buffs applied to him before he goes to his new position.
According to a well-known programmer, for the past 4 years the game never considered a character who redeploys itself after deployment so this works as intended and since correcting all of these would take alot of time for just one operator; it will likely stay this way. Though, they say that preventing him losing the SSS stacking buff and triggering negative effects on deployment should be doable and could be implemented before he comes out in Global.

But he also remove debuff on him during teleport like nervous impairment from what I've seen. So he technically have elemental resistance. I really like that since I don't play sss or IS that much

Abyss Hunters are main members of my main squad since Gladiia release. Seeing -Jotaro- Ulpuan finally playable fells good. He's my main target for months to come and I will bring him to home.

Imo he's a bit better version of hoederer. He doesn't has any drawback at all and have much more bigger permanent hp from talent 2 and insane buff from his other skill(assuming he has similar base hp as hoe)
Keep in mind that, he still suffer crusher problem but on the good side we have gladiia which is free and the most important teammate
Now the minus is that he doesn't has ACTUAL self-heal nor shelter like hoederer, his talent juandst serve as damage reduction the only time it will actually heals him is when he got small dot damage but that's about it, kinda like shelter but really small and in flat number. I hope when hg make crusher module, they give him either self-heal or shelter, i can only thing giving him similar talent like myrtle

Okay. Here! Do note that with skill 3, when you activate it, it counts as a redeployment! So what happens is if you want to deploy someone to draw aggro, DO NOT activate Ulpianus' skill afterwards he will count as the latest deployment and EVERYTHING IN THE AREA will start targeting him.
This redeployment may also be a point in his favour since if you want to deploy someone else but not have them be targeted, you can just, activate it and everyone just instantly targets him
Let's not forget. If you get those initial sp+ stuff in the roguelike? Hhhhh he gets that buff after he redeploys so you just get to instantly spam his skill be like, op I hit you oops goodbye hi I'm here again and Oop I'm off again.
As expected of Skadi's Captain
He can have over 15,000 HP, when paired with Gladiia he will take 30% less damage and recover over 525 HP per second in addition to his own talent's healing. For reference Mountain heals himself for 206 HP per second. Holy shit.

Daddy Ulpianus will be mine
He almost beats penance effective hp for God's sake. Penance has 18,4k hp while on max shielding. While people calculate that with all AH buffs, Ulpi max HP is around 18k. So Ulpi can tank better than a lot of defender class operators while only having 1 less block, and even that downside is mitigated by his S2.

They're good but Not like you have a choice, the 6 star you obtain in that banner is random and might end up with Saileach or Mizuki instead.
Pozy has a great DPS with her Skill 3. But Surtr probably do you better in the long run because of her Arts damage and Skill 3 heli-drop/few seconds immortality

A little disappointed in his second talent, was really hoping there’d be a bit more. Sure he gets more damage & sustain, and gives further sustain to his fellow AHs… but we already get Max HP from Spalter and Gladiia already gives plenty sustain with 30% damage reduction and the passive HP regen. I would’ve loved to see him heal elemental damage instead or maybe even inflict elemental damage since AHs are part Seaborn IIRC. Being able to inflict neural impairment or corrosion would’ve been lovely. But oh well, more members.
He doesn't have his modules yet keep that in mind
Being able to inflict elemental build up/damage would be too much i guess but elemental hp regen is a good suggestion
@@obsiangravel True, and for the most part the modules of AHs have been top notch (latest Gladiia module being the exception). But for now I just view it lacking.
Side note I hope we get to see an alter for Gladiia & Andreana one day, and maybe that operator that Andreana is supposed to be protecting (Incandescence). Hoping we get the latter as a Wandering Medic.
@@lord_bonemanAsking a AH member as wandering medic isn't to much?, i mean they will get tons of frees attack with Ulpianus talents 2 and Skadi talents 1 while also tanky at heck due to gladia and + Max HP from every one. And ASPD from lowlights. Due to being a AH member they also need a talents that buff all the team, yeah it sound so broken to come true so i thinks there will have a wandering medic buff AH team but not an AH member (Skadi alter for example)

He outclasses mah boi Hoederer so much it's not even funny.
long story short:
-Ulpian as a crusher operator is good.
-Ulpian with gladiia is insanely strong
-Ulpian with complete abyssal hunter buff is a cheat code
Not to be "that guy" but why would you pick AH squad, when you could... pick other operators in those 4 slots?
The guy looks cool tho, shame he is Crusher Guard (also... anchor).
He is THE Crusher guard (Pretend Hoederer doesn't exist, loses 100 HP my ass. His nice, nice ass.)
Specter is fantastic and Gladiia is great. He's pretty close to max power with just those two and those two are already among better 6*s.
@@yiraw and... how often do you field Gladiia and/or Spectre? I mean, yes they are GOOD characters, but there are other operators, who can do their job just as good or even better. Also, as stated before, why would you fill 2 slots with someone just to make an operator better, when you could simply use those 3 slots to field an actual operators (like, you know, Dorothy, JessAlter, Silence)?
I'm about to write an essay.
My guy, he is a very strong unit but not a must pull... It's completely fine for anyone to pull for him, I will also pull for him even though I have all boss killers and lane holders. I won't lose anything if I pull for him bcs he is still a very strong unit. Also u do know that abyssal hunters can clear most stages (except if there's too many aerial units). Ulpian does fine without AH, just give him a good single target healer since u find it cancer to save one slot for Gladia. You're acting like Gladia is just a cheerleader, she not only buffs him but can still be used for many things in normal stages. I've seen a video of people using only ulpian and gladia along with spalter (who u can replace with any guard, her buff is nice but not a must have) to clear that steam knight stage. Plus he has some specialties that other lane holders don't, he can tank explosions and continuously heal himself in toxic environment stages (without Gladia).

He only needs gladia, his S3 L7 was able to nuke patriot (took a few hits) with no mastery. If I'm not mistaken, it seems like he doesn't need a healer in toxic environment stages because he continuously heals himself. Correct me if I'm wrong.
@@Misuzuu975 I'm not sure if toxic scale anywhere or is just a fixed damage in every stage that is present but still is a little perk, even if he can damage patriot using that masive stat bomb it worked only because he was the only target there and stuned, a single hit was all that take to force a retreat, (and it have gladia damage reduction) and is a line limited skill (but could be good to know if he can land on non deployabe tiles, that would be awesome to target specific enemies) i can see some potential but only using him in a team along the others 5 AH buffs get a confortable space almost on top tier, by himself probably would decent at best.
@@darthnihilus1572I think I've seen a vid of him nuking mephisto without a healer and he didn't die from the gas so that is something. Plus he can remove debuffs (buffs doesn't matter much since his stats are very high) and doesn't take dmg when he teleport (like deactivating his S3 when Patriot is about to hit him). He isn't a must pull especially for new players but even with that trash archetype, he is very good. Plus his S3 cost is low for such busted skill. I think what Ulpian is better than other lane holders will be against high aspd enemies/toxic environments since he can continuously heal himself. Although I see him more of a boss killer.
Even though I have all 6 star guards and I didn't build abyssal hunters except Gladia, I will pull for him and even considering skipping Walter. Yeah I also think he's decent without AH but even if you put only Gladia in the team, he is kinda busted.

I dont like this. Isn't this dude just a more buffed Blaze? Like wtf does he offer that is much better than Blaze anyways? Irdk tbh maybe if you really like Abyssal Hunters yeah you should get him, BUT this dude cant hold a candle to Ela, Wis'Adel and the likes. If you have Blaze (you should) then SKIP tbh. He aint anything special I already got SpecAlter for lane holding. I really don't need another laneholding guard.
Can Blaze solo Steam Knight, Talullah, survive three or two hits from Patriot, and hold a lane without medic or defender infront
Not gonna mention this guy with Gladiaa (free ops) alone already makes him one of the best tanks that could regen and also dish out 6k damage on unlimited skills and thats Gladiaa alone not gonna mention his whole squad where it can mitigates all of his weaknesses
He doesn't seem to need healing in toxic environment stages (including mephisto) plus he can tank explosions and even Patriot so that's something that other lane holders can't do (Blaze can only do it once). Not a must pull especially for new players but is very good. His main skill is gonna be S3 not S2.
As someone who has all 6 star guards and doesn't build abyssal hunters except Gladia, I will still be pulling him regardless.

How can I save pulls? Just how? 2 r6 collab, Shu, Walter/Logos I even plan to skip Ray & Degenbrecher and now we have Erwin oh please! Any amount of orundum I could get counts and have 370 pulls ready but still... 🤌👛😱
Don't forget about Ascalon
You either:
1. Priotize limited banner since those who are not limited can come through off rate pull and they will come back.
2. Be like me who just pull for everyone and let fate decides who I can have and who I can't.
