- A PRODIGY BOWLERS TOUR special feature on Ball Bowler Mini Bowling LLC. Originally aired as part of our 10-05-2019 Episode 106, "The Bigs vs. The Littles."
I hope Phil Kaiser sells a million of these things.
PRODIGY BOWLERS TOUR has no affiliation whatsoever with Ball Bowler Mini Bowling LLC. I'm just a fan of their product. PRODIGY BOWLERS TOUR and BROWN MEDIA, INC. also did not receive any compensation for airing this feature on PRODIGY BOWLERS TOUR.
I included it on the show because I think the machine Phil makes is about the coolest "big boy toy" I've seen in a very long time.
really cool video and very nice pinsetter stuff, I like the time travel and the evolution of the pinsetter :D
Awesome to hear about your fascination with pinsetters Phil. I'm glad it's not just me! 😁 This is since I was a kid, as bowling was big in our family, and we had friends who actually owned the local bowling alley in my town in NYC. I did a short stint there as a pin chaser (Brunswick A's).
He's actually updated the design a little bit since then. Now the ball travels up the same lift as the pins, and the auger is no more. He's also made other improvements that increase how efficient everything runs. You can find this on one of Phil's videos.
I'm definitely going to buy this. Very AMBITIOUS
The Ball Bowler mini machine gives me the impression of a hybrid machine. The pin elevator reminds me of that on the Brunswick GS Series machines. While the turret reminds me of the one on the A/A2 Series machines, also by Brunswick. I would love to see a mini machine fashioned on the 8270/8290XL platform by Cubica AMF. However, a paradox exists. Many full size bowling centers are now switching to string pinsetters as opposed to free fall pinsetters. If economies of scale would be present on mini machines, a string pinsetter version of the Ball Bowler mini machine could provide a low cost alternative to a free fall machine. Many people do not ling string machines. However, due to inflation, they may be the way to save bowling from extinction. As far as full size machines go, a mechanic must always be on the premises to fix machine issues as the come. Compared with string machines, free fall machines, remarkable as they are remain very complex, high maintenance machines.
Sadly, Phil has discontinued making the machine. Last I heard, he was looking for someone to purchase the rights to the machine, hoping that someone else would take over making it. But he's done. It's been a while since I heard that, and I haven't heard anything about it since.
looks like a real live small bowling THAT'S A MASTER PICCE
amazing work
Since this was Posted, He now has a Full patent and made further updates!
True, that. He and his machine have both come a long way.
Brilliant!
What happens to the videos and will there be a prodigy this week
Jeffyjeffy Bowling - There will not.
I hope we haven't seen the last of PBT, but if you do choose to end it, so be it. In either case, thank you for three plus years of very enjoyable bowling action (and some great old commercials). Can we look forward to occasional bowling (or non-bowling, for that matter) videos from time to time? Best wishes with whatever you decide to do.
Wasn’t this a commercial in one of ur vids?!
I'm building one idk yet
Ohhh bummer, my lane was not shown.... 😐
Me too.. I was expecting both of ours :/
Your two are the first I think of so I have no clue why you weren't here
Probably because your lanes are pretty much the same as the lane of “Basement Bowling” that has no automatic in the back and Coach Randy doesn’t know about your Mini Bowling Lanes (unless your one of the TH-camrs from the Early Years or one of your video gets a hundred thousand to million views).
Nintendo Bowler- I am one of the long time members and one of the first who got this mini bowling popular. It’s still a semi automatic pin setter like most of the others. Most semi automatics copied from me....I helped many of them...
What's up
