Years ago, this was the track that got me into fucked up time signatures along with progressive music as a whole. Textures opened a door for me that I can't shut now. Thank you my dudes.
Textures...a fav band of of mine. Guess you'll never guess how I discovered them. Watching a live performance of Gojira and seeing their guitarist wearing a Textures tshirt. I knew they had to be good
12 years ago I discovered them by chance, when searching for content from the band Swandive... which brought me to Textures Swandive. So happy that I had the chance to see them twice. A pity they split.
1:19 That is like literaly driving on an empty highway... no seatbelt... dropping the hammer... no hands on the steering wheel.... eyes closed... (a bit like that moment in Pink Floyd''s Sheep...)
@Racoulda Devin Townsend is a new favourite of mine as of a year or so ago. My friend recommended him. Live version of Kingdom is absolutely dominating. Rock on! \m/
THANK YOU. They pay tribute to the almighty Meshuggah while doing their own thing way before there was any mention of djent, just like Mnemic and Sybreed did.
/watch?v=XWNKGoG6UpE Just recorded this jam session with my band last night. We are a mixed genre with influences of Opeth, Primus, Textures, etc, etc We are in the middle of recording an EP. Comments are welcome! -The Innocent Abandoned

This > djent
Well said. Even though they have some djent elements they go further than that.
THANK YOU. They pay tribute to the almighty Meshuggah while doing their own thing way before there was any mention of djent, just like Mnemic and Sybreed did.
