The way I see it, they are not wrong in their stance for love. Dr Ning comes from a broken home , he never experienced the normal; loved and nurturing environment (not generalising divorced families) he felt his dad abandoning him and his mother was always too busy. So his vision of normal family is being happy separately-focusing on work. Meanwhile, Dr.Ruan came from a loving nurturing and supportive family. She experienced so much love and support from both parents and siblings; hence she wants to receive such love and give it too. Both of them are not wrong, they grew up in complete opposite situations and view love and marriage differently.
I can relate, my parents got divorced when I was 6. They were taking turns to keep me. I would stay with my mom a year and my dad a year. It was damn hard and still is. I do believe in true love and that it doesn't always work out. Only blessed ones get lucky

Their upbringing was so different that they view love and marriage really differently. FL was too loved by her family growing up so she expects as much from her husband since she was taught this as a value. While ML always saw parents focused on their work and it's one of his main value.
Feel sorry for him. He finds it hard to express his feeling for her. He is also quite helpless of his situation and limitations. It takes time for him to express his love and affection for her.

He doesn't know how to cherish a woman even though he loves her. He doesn't even know how to show her love. Also she never explains to him what he does wrong and always expect him to change or guess how to love her. He was always like that when they first got together so I don't know why she expect him to change his personality. Either you love him for him or you don't. And if they decide to get in a relationship, she needs to talk to him openly and teach him how she wants to be loved. She comes from a very loving family while he comes from a broken home, what is obvious for her is really difficult for him.

El doctor Ning por la expresión de su rostro se dio cuenta de como decimos en mi país "la embarro" cuando la termino y ella le dijo antes de irse que había decidido darle otra oportunidad, pobrecito su rostro dijo todo. Creo que por el curso que llevaba la conversación él pensó que lo iba a terminar y el se adelantó, el argumento de que un médico no puede tener una familia feliz, no me parece, porque no es estar todo el tiempo juntos sino la calidad en afecto y compañía que los dos se den en el poco tiempo que tengan. Me gusto que al fin se confesó, fue capaz de decirle que la quiere y fue desde que estaba en el extranjero ya que al divorciarse no botó nada de lo de ella, el guardarlo es muestra de que hay sentimientos
