This was my first year fishing in WA despite living here for 6 or 7 years now. Thanks for the inspiration to fish for salmon! The biggest I've caught in WA is a chum in the same spot actually. I didn't weigh/measure it as I was trying to get it back in the water ASAP, but I'd estimate 10 pounds or so.
Always enjoy your videos. Having fished for over 40 years in the PNW, I appreciate that you don't edit out all the mistakes! It gives you a lot of credibility. Keep up the great fishing and videos. As an old guy not able to get around as much, I find myself living vicariously through your trips a lot more. Very cool that your giving away that nice reel and bag...I have that same reel and it works fantastic! Give it to some young fisher person. The more we can get the youth involved in fishing, the more we can do for our sport! Tight lines...hope to bump into you on the water sometime...

I believe the biggest fish I have ever caught was a 20+ pound lingcod out of westport Wa. I still have yet to catch a sturgeon, halibut or king salmon. keep the videos coming! wish I could go salmon fishing right now, these videos help.

This is my first year fishing for salmon and I caught a 34" chum salmon last month. I'm up to my 8th salmon so far! :O Waiting on some new jigs to come in since that's what I've been having the best luck with. I haven't played around with a bobber on the Green too much since the jigs have been working out for me, but maybe I should be!

Biggest fish hooked was a massive Tiger Muskie out of Tapps. Unfortunately, it bit through the 12lb fluorocarbon before I could get a weight, measurement, or picture.
Pro tip put your shrimp in a container with salt a lot of salt, it'll dry it out and keep it fresh longer for you, you'll still have to to keep it cool like in a fridge when you're not fishing, but it also makes the shrimp or whatever bait you stick in the salt tough like really tough so it'll stay on your hook better. Learned this from watching surf fisherman.
@@BrianMonticello well it works really well and for more than shrimp. OK biggest fish well I've landed an almost 5 ft sturgeon but I also landed a 20 pound steelhead when I was a kid. So not sure which fish you want lol. But I'd love that reel it's a lefty I fish lefty lol.
My biggest fish was a winter steelhead that peeled drag after 6 solid jumps, it snapped my line but it was atleast a 20 pound fish, my buddy pulled out out that was 18pounds that same morning
I need to find me some salmon and steelhead but the app that gives me the regs for Wa state was constantly down for maintenance so I just got rid of it after a few week's, so I've got my catch card but no way to know when and where I'm allowed to catch them.
I caught a 50lb Tule king salmon on a Brad's uv Super bait cut plug setup years ago with a sardine packed in it. Definately the biggest one I've caught and have never came close to beating it since.

Thought I snagged a tire. The biggest King I ever caught was that same day but I had to let it go because it was wild. Not sure what it weighed though because I released it real quick. My biggest fish was a chinook salmon that was 12 pounds in the green which was also my very first king and I also caught my first coho this year.
My biggest salmon was my first chum. It was around 7-8 lbs, caught by the log to your left at that third spot last week! Biggest fish overall has to be a blue fish from a charter boat off the coast of NJ. I'm loving how your videos keep getting better and better. Keep it up, and thanks for the giveaway!

73.5 lb halibut in Ketchikan, AK. Felt like I was reeling up a bucket full of concrete 😂 3 days of fishing came home with 1000 lbs of cleaned fish caught amongst 5 of us!

Largest was a 7.5 lb King off Edmonds. Got into salmon fishing this year and got 4 out of 5 of the Pacifics with a total of about 10 fish.

Did the Pink actually weigh in at 9 lbs? If so that is a massive Pink. They average between 3-5 lbs.

Bro, normally that spot is RIDICULOUSLY packed with people reeling in Chum and Coho left and right.

@@BrianMonticello I went fishing at least 3-4 times a week this October even when it rained and I just can’t catch anything my man! I’ve only caught 3 this season even with cured roe I’ve tried Tukwila Kent auburn black diamond areas but I just need to learn technique I guess is the only way

Hello there Brian , I spotted you that day at the other end and then saw you move locations to the beginning , 👍 job , great content , learning new things watching your videos . My biggest fish was 16.6 lb chinook this season , about took the whole spool of line 😮.

@@BrianMonticello do you know if any b run coho are going to be coming through nearby rivers, Or has the run already ended? I used to go with the best fisherman I know, my dad but he passed away around 2 years ago. I just started salmon fishing again and don’t know too much about the runs and when to go and fish. Anything helps, thanks!
My biggest was an oversized sturgeon. It was 9'7" the locals estimated weight was 350lbs.

I got my Biggest fish this year.. it was 19.7lbs 33in wild king salmon on the nisqually back in September and also got my Biggest silver out of the cowlitz this year 27in 10lb
