Ginko is definitely an anomaly among mushishi, who aren’t cursed to wander. Most are shown to be somewhere between a village shaman and a village doctor. But to live a life like Ginko, to travel and see the entire country with the sight to see mushi… it seems so encompassing. There is a simple observation of existence, neither all good nor all bad and no villains or heroes. To witness all that must be truly remarkable and sad at the same time.
