I deleted all of my content from Instagram (moved to Cara); all of it, posts, stories, etc. Here's the fun story: When you delete a post, you have to wait 30 days before full deletion and we have until 16 June to opt out, but since I have to wait 30 days for full deletion, I think my data will be used anyway. When I've heard about this, it was too late (less than two weeks), not even an email or notification or something to accept. I did not accept anything. Where I live, I do not have the Right to Object. When I sent a mail to ask if my data is going to be used or not, here's what they responded: "Based on the information that you have provided to us, we are unable to identify any examples of your personal information in a response from one of Meta’s generative AI models. As a result, we cannot take further action on your request." So basically, your data needs to be used by the AI to have the right to complain. This is hilarious

Just yesterday i saw an artist who does ink and watercolor illustrations having one of his works marked as "AI generated>"...maybe because the AI already trained on his images and could not differenciate anymore? There are so many problems with the implementation of this technology
I genuinely can't understand why I should go and persuade that I have a basic right to say NO to use of my data, when it's Meta who should make efforts to prove they have any right to take it like its' their property n that it's gonna be safe. It just seems twisted to me
That’s also most icky to me. As I said, why do we have to do something to get OUT of this? I think it would’ve been a fair option to ask us for permission than the other way around.

I am absolutely disgusted. I'm now going to remove all of my posts (though I don't even know if it'll help, they probably already have my data anyways). I'm a small artist but I still don't want MY ART and MY FACE to be fed to ai. No thanks! Thank you for making this video, I don't see enough people talking about it.
Hey Amelia, I’m glad you found this video and happy that you like it. But I understand your concerns. Did you try objecting to Meta taking your Data for their AI? Otherwise, deleting your pictures might be the only way to prevent this.
@@bizziebean I tried objecting but because I live in the U.S. there aren't laws in place apparently for stuff like this, so Insta denied my request and said that "We don’t automatically fulfill requests and we review them consistent with your local laws." I'm not really sure what to do next 🥲
@@bizziebean It should be a crime to deny people from saying no to getting their data used for ai. Who knows though, maybe soon legal action will take place? I'm worried, but part of me knows that if enough people get mad they can't get away with it.

That sounds interesting. I didn’t know that the app labels pictures as AI itself, thought it was an option to choose for the account when posting.
