Watching this adventure is going to be fun. Looking forward to seeing the (possible) minor changes and additions as you go. Best wishes for the travels.
😮 Still amazed! You have been blessed with a female Brenton. Someone who is adventurous self-sufficient, and willing to take on whatever challenge is set before her. Sounds kinda like you, brother. Function should always trump form when it comes to a camper or in your case, a shanty boat. Who wants a camper of any kind that looks like a jewelry box and you’re afraid to actually use it for what it was intended for. Great job can’t wait to see your adventures.
You were trained by the same finish carpenter that trained me. My Dad said that when we drove the last nail we were finished. Y’all did a great job and if it suits you it suits the heck out of me. So let the adventure begin.
I found that a Traeger Ranger griddle fits in my RV oven. This helps disperse the heat and keep me from burning the bottom of whatever I put in the oven, pies, bread, muffins.
@melvinaltis3725 she's taking it to a whole new level Melvin. I'm still learning to hold the hammer on the right end while trying to drive in a screw! Lol. Happy Thanksgiving
Those rv ovens do have very uneven heating. Stop by Home depot and get a couple of unglazed ceramic tiles and put them on the bottom of the oven. They work like one of those pizza stones to even out the heat. It makes a huge difference.
Humm ...I escaped the central indiana cold and came back to Panama city beach again for the winter .me don't like snow . HIGRAVY . BE BLESSED BOTHE OF YOU , AND GRAVY TOO ❤
I love how it turned out have you thought of maybe putting in a diesel heater a lot of van lifers use them also it wouldn't be to hard to put hinged doors underneath the stove unless room is an issue! 😊
I think it looks great! Just remember the old saying "Home is where you can hang your hat and kick off your boots"! Also, Wavy needs to quit hogging most the camera time!😂😃
You guys did a great job! That’s a dream of mine once my daughter goes to College. I’m 60! Pray for me! It will have to be used in the fall and/or winter. It will be an oven in Summer! Hope you have a wood stove!
Wow, I didn't know there was such a critter as that, I love it. Wouldn't the Grumpy guys love that! I think y'all are spot on with the 4 seasons camper idea. Please get and use a SECOND carbon monoxide detector.......... The cedar turned out great, and, it is WAVEY Approved! Drag it down to Texas to see me!
The only thing I don't like about wood paneling in a trailer or van is that it's heavy. Probably most of the "vanlife" rigs I see on YT are pushing their load limit when empty just because of the wood on the floors and walls, and I wonder how often they're replacing suspension components or what happens when they spend days driving on fire roads and soforth. Anyway, with regard to making things nice, it depends on how you look at it. Your Beagle Barge is a very nice rig in my opinion because it's so well adapted to how you use it. And that's mostly down to how you've fitted it out in the course of your travels. Sure, there are yachts with mirror-finish wood in the interior and instrument panels that look like they could be in a jet or a luxury car, but they probably don't serve their owners as well for all that.
@@stacymcmahon453 those are really good points. I know cedar tends to be a lot lighter. We did add some weight to the ice castle, but I'm pretty sure it's not too much. Those big skoolies with loads of wood...definitely pushing the limits
The cookie cutter campers are boring! All the little "imperfections" make it unique and give it soul. Best part is you can say "I built this". Especially when ya got an awesome partner in crime to do it with!👍 Great job bro!! Yal have fun.
Never heard of such a thing but seems to me any utility trailer would have worked unless u are gonna Ice Fish LOL a camper with a hole in the floor haha...
Don’t either of you eat large or even small amounts of Chilli, Taco Bell, onions or garlic! I would imagine there would need to be a mercy window opening!
Looks like Nancy did all the work. Good job guys. Pet the pup for me.
Absolutely amazed by this wonderful partner that you have found!
@@jeffreyrandolph5848 I've been pinching myself daily Jeff. :)

Love how it came out ,but priceless a partner in the task!!! no worries just enjoy ,you found a keeper, hard to do today!
Amen, Brother!
Rope trim is a great look
Looks warm and cozy ...
I love that little camper , it's perfect 😊 and with that oven and Nancy cooking, your gonna get chubby Brenton 😋 lol 😆 😋 😄 😊
I'm worried! ;)

Hello from NC to everyone! Love your content!
Great build out of the ice castle.
Can’t wait to see what you have in store for us next!
Thank you for sticking around. Even when we aren't on the Shanty Boat;)
That looks great! Ill have to read up on Ice Castles. Enjoy the journey.
Love it. Hi to Wavey.

Looks great! The two of you make a really good team. Okay three of you sorry Wavey.
@@JCSwearingen blahahahaha!! She knows her place. ;)

A+ build. I planned to do one years ago but did something else instead. I was planning on building what you have. Great job.
These little imperfections that you’re pointing out are not imperfections, but character that gives the trailer a little touch of cool
Hi 👋 Brenton and Wavey and Nancy 😊😊
@@GregoryMueller-ss2qv Hi Greg! :)

Very nice build!

@deannawood7522 we're coming to visit Birdsong after Maine. Tell Chris and JC please ;)
@backwatersandbackroads Will do. We have a certain boat naming ceremony planned for when you three visit. We are all excited to meet Nancy!

@MrFrizbeeman I have a diesel heater and planning on installing it also. 3 sources of heat! :)
👍
Those drop axles could be part of the boat to make it highly portable.
@@DIYCameraGuy exactly! :)

That thing would need pontoons and an ac unit on the lakes here in Arizona.
Don’t forget proper ventilation when any fossil or wood heating/cooking device is used. What are you going to use for a toilet ?
😎👍

I think I’m just going to put bungees across the cubby shelves. I won’t have as much space in my project.
Iceco is ***OUTRAGEOUS IN THEIR PRICING!***
Great job. Looks really nice! 👍🏼😎 But Maine in the winter? Why not go someplace a leetle bit warmer? I’m not a big fan of cold weather anymore 🥶😂
It's mostly because we don't have time the rest of the year. From what I'm reading, Maine can be really nice in the winter. We're gonna find out ;)
