@@jord001 thanks for that I love the SL125. I would love to get my hands on one to put in my Collection I remember a friend having one from brand new and Falling in love with it.
Good job Andy. I didn't know Harpic could remove rust. It seems to do a good job. I use white vinegar, but then you gotta neutralise the tank with bread soda after. That amount of wrap in tmyour tank is as good as having some one put sand in. 🙌
Brings back memories, I owned about a dozen of these, 185, 250 and 500 during late 80s and early 90s. I loved greenlaning on the little 185, weapon of choice due to weight and power. Restored quite a few and modified 185 motor in mono shock 125. Wouldn't mind picking one up as a resto and a C90 but prices seem high for what were £200 bikes back then?

good stuff that harpic i use it to dissolve the limescale and calcium from the rabbits littler tray and also good in the toilet as well, didn't know you could use it on rust, i use a strong mix a citric acid you can get a big bag for 5 quid
Harpic, that's a good trick, I've a rusty tank needs cleaning, I'll give the Harpic a go. If they sell it in Oz! I've an ultrasonic but it's 10l & sometimes too big, a little Aldi one would be good. But sorry Andy that clacking sound in the background is against the Geneva convention!
very old and very cool bikes! i really like these Hondas and their restoration stories! thanks and good luck!
great to see the classics being brought back to life, I have a 73 SL125 to restore.
