CEFR is successful when English learners are living in the USA. But living in no-native English speaking countries, we can't. No-native speakers need 4 hours per day in 4 years = 4*365*4 = 5840 hours
Hello everyone, I thought that I would share with you guys how I became a C1 to C2 level learner. 01. Watch Ethan's and Andrea's banging lessons. 02. Listen to the reallife english podcast 03. Just try and immerse yourself in the English language and grab every opportunity which you think would help you improve you English:)

I agree with you| every day I learn one word in English. I listen to podcast when I do shopping, run or do housework. It is fantastic because day by day I understand and talk English better than the past day. I think that the brain needs time to sediment the new language.
Woah, a fascinating topic. Can't wait to watch this lesson. Thanks a million to Ethan and Andrea for helping me every day to improve my English language skills. You guys are stars:)
I stady every day about 2hours since six months including listening to podcasts and video,i read short stories but i didn't practice because i didn't found a person with who i could speak,i mean a teacher who can correct my mistakes 😔😔😔and i must have c1 so i could achieve my goals
I started learning English when I was 16 or smth, I do remember when I literally knew a few words like “hi” “hello” etc. And it took me 3 months of summer to achieve a basic level. So I think everyone can be really productive depending on how much he/she is motivated. In my case, I adore English. Btw, I am From Ukraine and my first native language was and is Ukrainian.
I spend all the time in my english to enhance. I reading storys book and newspaper. I watch something for your video 2 or 3 everyday. listening to the podcast. I am vocabulary to learn and l do journal writing. Sometime, l am grammar to learn. This lesson for me very useful. Thank you very much.
To be honest, this lesson makes me more stronger 💪 And, uh! Let's say guys. We love English and I won't stop. I'm first, I love English and I won't stop 🙂🤗 Let's say it.
Your advices are pure gold, straight outta Eldorado :) I have plenty of time and I WILL use it efficiently ! I genuinely love this language and it's a part of my everyday life. But i have to admit that most of my knowledge about English comes from passive forms of learning. I tried to stick to grammar lessons and verbs learning, but i always forget the fundamentals after a few months 😅 The biggest flaws with my english are : -Having a hard time using the right words so the structure of my sentences is awkward. Despite knowing those words and understanding them when heard, they don't come to my mind naturally. -Lack of self confidence. -Overthinking. -Not having anyone to talk with in english, and i actually mean TALK, not write. Now let's head back to the basics, i guess. Have a nice day !

Everything you said in this wonderful video is so true and makes perfect sense, dear Ethan. I've been doing most of those things for years now, as I'm an online English tutor. I have been using English quite a lot on a daily basis. But of course, there's still a lot of room for further improvement, in my case. 🤓☺️
16:36 Sometimes we just have to do the things we hate. For instance, studying subjects at school(In my case, I hate reading Russian literature, but I have to in order to prepare for the exam)
Aww yeah! Thanks again Ethan. That was completely awesome. I am super excited to know the method on how much time needed to be spend while studying(POMODORO technique). It really helped me so much that enable me to set a time in studying English and for other courses as well. Its totally the bees knees. thanks once again. cheers.
I'm watching things always in English. And I tried to read with my B2 level English but there was too many vocabularies that I didn't know. Thus I'm focusing to build my vocabulary size now. And I'm studying 1-2 hours everyday to learn 10 new words. And repating those as much as I can in a day.
FAB Tips! so accurate and detailed and so inspiring as well. Would you please post a video about best ways to learn phrasal verbs and practice them ? it's a grammar topic, I have been struggling with for ages. Stay safe 🇮🇹🍀🇬🇧
Splendid and super interesting video which can help anyone wants to learn English language (or any other language/subject). The content of the video is based on scientific basis and practical experience. The video is presented in such appealing and enjoyable way. Well done Ethan. You are professional teacher by birth!
Hi.Let me share with your some of the tips that helped me.I used to read audiobooks with subtitles. That helped me immensely with pronunciation and grammar as well.Record yourself speaking or talk to your reflection in the mirror. Also get yourself an exercise book where you'd write down the new words and phrases you come across and try to create sentences using them. You can also search for English teachers here on TH-cam who teach English phrases.
My current level is B2. But I wanna increase it to C1, or maybe, C2. I'm going to classes, watching videos and American movies in original, learning new words everyday and speaking to myself(even if it's a bit weird😄). I hope, I'll achieve my goal of becoming fluent in a year...
Perfect advices, Ethan, thank you, thank you for your time, that you makes for us this videos and helping me to improve my english. Please, I didn't understand one connection in the video: " Covid nonsence" .. how did you mean that? Thanks
