    Thank you very much for the video. I am used with oil paints from my miniature painting. The hack with zippo lighter fluid was new for me. A thing I certainly will have to try out.

    It was really good to see another painter doing amazing pieces and not just another air brush user.

    Meh 🤣🤣 Incredible work mate. I'm just in the process of building my first Ma.K kit. The Ammoknights MK 44. Ive been building since I was a kid but my paint work isn't anywhere near your level. I'm just scouring TH-cam for tips and hoping I'll be able to put together enough to come up with something presentable 🤣 Linc's channel is always a great source as well. All the best from Vancouver Canada!

    At 3:05 you show off how the black ink has highlighted scratches and crazing on the Pink coating. What part of the process generated the crazing?

      Sorry, I missed the comment bro. I did them just before washings. I know, it's unusual but I thought would work perfectly and it did. I like to experiment...:)

    I'm amazed by the end product by just using a brush! Watched it a many of times and it made me feel like getting myself a Ma.K. kit soon. I've got a couple of questions though. Did you oil wash the bottom part of the body until it became black? Also were the lifecolor rust and dust paints like liquid pigments or are they just paint? Thanks in advance and please keep making more!

    • @KALLAMITY2288
      @KALLAMITY2288  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks so much, glad you liked. Ma.K kits are amazing. Questions: 1yes and no, in some parts maybe you noticed i left black from black spray can coat. Somewhere else yes, i added black until saturation. 2, sort of, they are highly pigmented colors, so they are so matt and realistic. They're used like common colors BTW, they are very versatile, and combined with different quantity of Lifecolor thinner, you can join different effects with brushes, airbrush, doing washings, filters, dry brush, streaking, whatever you like. Highly recommended

      Thanks for taking the time to reply, that helped me alot. You've got an amazing talent honestly. The whole extreme weathered look and including the fact that it's a well done kit bash is phenomenal.

    Hi Luca, I'm a beginner on the scale model, may I ask, most of the medium you used were acrylic when u apply another layer of acrylics paints how to avoid the acrylics thinner from dissolving the previous layer of paint. I also saw you use some enamel paint on the acrylics, the enamel thinner won't dissolve the acrylic paint? how do you manage the paints between layer and medium? Sorry, it was a long question. Thank you for sharing your technique and knowledge.

    • @KALLAMITY2288
      @KALLAMITY2288  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, I usually avoid to use acrylic thinner on acrylics, the thinner you see while I'm using oil paints is white spirit which I used to do oil washings. Concerning enables, nope, they don't dissolve acrylic paint behind. All you need is right times, if you let dry colors are pretty solid then so you can later play around with different stuff on them. Just need to do some direct experience on some scrap part, those colors (Tamiya, Humbrols) are cheap so give them a try!

    its Amazing! I mean i love it, really inspired work, Btw i want to ask you same question as
    Kryppers
    , in which part of the process did you archive to create those Scratches over the surface, I saw few times , the first part and this second part and i cant figure out, when and how you did!

    • @KALLAMITY2288
      @KALLAMITY2288  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you so much, really appreciated. I missed Krypper's comment, so i answered to him and I paste the reply here:
      I did them just before washings. I know, it's unusual but I thought would work perfectly and it did. I like to experiment...:)

    • @marcosd7743
      @marcosd7743 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Its gives to the surface and incredible nice detail , i assume that you use some metal tool to make those scratches??

    • @KALLAMITY2288
      @KALLAMITY2288  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      yep, the same which i used to scratch decals at the beginning of this video , and i immediately did it after that. For some reasdons i had not footage of this step :(
      Again, it's not a conventional way, just an experiment to test filling scratches with oil washing.

    • @marcosd7743
      @marcosd7743 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Luca, who cares if is not a conventional way, what matters is the end result in my opinion , those scratches on the surface looks amazing, and give a lot great detail on the surface, , So cool, Thks so much.

    come mai la scelta di una superficie rugosa ? vista la scala ?

    • @KALLAMITY2288
      @KALLAMITY2288  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Paolo Banci perché le superfici rugose esaltano i risultati per questo tipo di effetti su modelli in scala 1/20, perché é un progetto nel quale ho voluto divertirmi e sperimentando come fosse la tela di un quadro, infine perché é MaK-sci-fi e la questione scala non é sempre primaria, almeno per me.Ciao!

    • @PaoloBanci
      @PaoloBanci 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ah pensavo fosse legato al fatto che essendo una scala più grande rendeva meglio il risultato dell'effetto :)

    Ho sempre incontrato delle difficoltà a stendere i colori tamiya a pennello...

    • @KALLAMITY2288
      @KALLAMITY2288  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Si, non è facilissimo, sono più adatti ad essere spruzzati ad aerografo..

    • @PaoloBanci
      @PaoloBanci 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      A me si incolla il pennello :-D

    • @KALLAMITY2288
      @KALLAMITY2288  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Soprattutto se sono i "gloss". Se ci badi ho usato colori opachi, aggiungendo anche al gunmetal il flat base, gli opachi sono più gestibili. Ad ogni modo ogni "poco" devi mettere due gocce di thinner, mescolare e di conseguenza tenere sempre il pennello fluido, per questo motivo di solito lo carico determinando velocemente la quantità necessaria a colorare in base all'ampiezza di una superficie, in una passata unica, senza andare a ricoprire con colore nuovo dove, nel frattempo sta già iniziando ad asciugare (si forma una pellicola e il pennello rimuoverebbe il colore asciutto). Se devo colorare una parte ampia, uso un pennello più grande, e così via..
      Uno dei pregi dei Tamia è che asciugano molto in fretta, ma nel caso della stesura a pennello questo può rappresentare un problema. E' tutta una questione di tempi e di quantità di colore/diluizione, una volta capito il trucco non si dovrebbero avere problemi. Concludendo, scusa ma il concetto è un po' complicato da spiegare sinteticamente, è proprio per questo motivo che ho usato l'errore di stesura come decolorazione.

    • @PaoloBanci
      @PaoloBanci 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Si avevo capito che in parte erano diluiti... solo che per me son sempre rimasti a pennello difficoltosi... si molto meglio con l'aerografo..
