The priceless look on McGarrett's face the moment he found out that he was dealing with the real deal, the real loony toons. The lady's acting is very good, on par with Heath Ledger's Joker acting.
I was a big fan of Hawaii Five-0 when I was a kid. Probably one of the reasons I live in Hawaii today. This episode was one of the main ones that stuck with me. Funny though I used to think, wow, there must be a lot of crime in Hawaii. 😄
Once a 5-0 fan, always a Five-0 fan. Thanks for watching. Be sure to checkout my other videos of various episodes. (Unfortunately, TH-cam only allows me 5 minutes).🤙
If I made a pick as the most evil fictional character in TV or film history it would be Barbara Baxley’s matriarch: Even McGarrett was stunned by how cold blooded she was.
Barbara Baxley's chilling dialouge in "One Big Happy Family"- .."they wasn't kin. they was all strangers. it don't count with strangers', as "McGarrett" (Jack Lord) asks, "what about the alleged $40,000 from your victims?' as she utters, "never stole a cent. they was dead . what'd they want with money, when they is dead-it ain't stealin' when they was dead first". you couldn't make up this kind of macabre stuff in a million years, but the original "HAWAII FIVE-O" was ahead of the game, and these episodes pulled no punches!

Airdate Oct 2nd, 1973. One Big Happy Family. Robyn, Bo Hopkins, Slim Pickens. Tom fer taukin 🥸 Filmed June 1973. This show was likely based on a real case about a murder spree by the McCrary family of Athens, Texas. They were suspected in more than 20 murders, mostly of young women who were last seen alive at donut shops in Colorado, Texas, Florida, Kansas City and Utah in 1970 and 1971. 😒
The tv show Police Story did an episode about the murders . Lou Frizzle was one of the killers and Christopher Norris was a victim , they were both in The Summer of 42 .The Police Story episode was called Odyssey of Death

4:05 - The look on McGarrett's face when the creepy old lady tells him "It ain't stealin' when they was dead first" was priceless.
With a very subdued disbelieving "book 'em".
I don’t think a psychiatrist could figure her out she is too crazy
They wasn't kin...they was all strangers...it don't count unless they was kin
"Never stole a cent."
My favorite show when I was a young adult
I just loved Hawaii Five-0 with Steve McGarrett. He was such a no nonsense cop. Miss him.
Thanks for watching.🤙
