Good video. The aluminum container, the stove was in, is the pan to boil water in to sterilize medical instruments. The Stainless Steel top can be used to cook your food on.
I was just wondering the exact same thing. I initially wondered why the lid was stainless steel and the bigger section aluminium. Then when I saw the rectangular shape of the top I came to the conclusion
Mil-Spec items were deployed up until 1991 in Desert Storm. During Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom, I did not see or use any Gas Pressure devices. Though I'm told the initial Enduring freedom deployments did have some due to the remote locations.
Off and wide open are the 2 settings on these--really like repairing and using the old Coleman stuff!!!!!!!!!!!
