- The journey to Versacepolis: Medusa was once the most beautiful woman in Athens. Her charms did not go unnoticed by Athena however, who scolded and banished Medusa in a jealous rage. The charismatic Gorgon now dwells in Versacepolis - a utopian settlement created on the seabed and populated by strong and confident men and women. She reigns there with courage and strength.
Over eighty percent of the ocean is completely unmapped and unexplored. A far greater percentage of the moon’s surfaces have been studied and recorded than the ocean floor has. The deep blue waters remain a mystery. Today, Donatella Versace transports us underwater to Versacepolis to unveil the Spring-Summer 2021 Collection. As the world resiliently adapts to the new normal, this sub-surface show setting is an opportunity for the Versace community to indulge in a little fantasy and dive headfirst into a dreamscape. Is dreaming escapism? Is it ignoring the truth of our current reality? Perhaps the dream is fictional, but the process of dreaming is both human and undeniably real. Versacepolis is where mythology meets the reality of the unknown. The water can be rough, but it can also cleanse, soothe and refresh.

A world made of popping colors and fantastic creatures and a world in which we can all coexist peacefully. This whole collection is disruptive in its vibrancy. The color palette is exuberant. The prints are zesty and bold. There’s skin on show in an ode to signature Versace sensuality. The nature, athleticism, seduction and fantasy combine in a melting pot of life’s joys. At the center of this collection is an empowered attitude that looks to the future with optimism and hope.
All members of the audience are Versace employees that have undergone a Covid-19 test producing a negative result.

I know everybody noticed the big diversity on this runway show, but I want to highlight the guy at 1:45, he is shorter than your average "male model". Bravo Donatella.
He's 6'0.5 not even that short, might be one or two cm shorter than average male model but far from the average male height. It's only the clothes that made him a little bit bulkier

I Love the "Under the Sea" theme! The styles remind me of the late 80's early 90's Versace that are bright, colorful and full of life! That's what we need right now to uplift and cheer us all from the gloomy news we're surrounded with! Great show!

Her name is Precious Lee ❤️ I watched an interview she did and her personality, energy, vibe is AMAZING. Her story is super cool, she began her modeling career while going to law school. Her energy inspires me, as someone completely different than her. Wish TH-cam could delete those nasty hater comments above.

They're not going to even this was just for show. As for haute couture you have runway models that arent the right look that dont do haute couture mainly not being tall enough but they industry should open it up to plus size women 🙄. How many times it's about the clothes a MODELS job is to show off the clothes and sell it it's not about peoples feelings

This whole show is fantastic! It gives me mermaid straight out of the water vibes.
Some pieces really stand out. But alot are filler pieces, that look like they were just mix and matched with the starfish pattern, and the color palette (coral/pastel/marine blue) and banged out, which doesn't always work.
i agree only few really stand out that goes to pattern very well and most of it looks like they were run out of idea.
