Love love lovvvee how informative your videos are! You’ve cleared majority of my doubts regarding the accommodation at Uni of Hertfordshire! Thanks a ton for that! It would be great if you could tell me about where you get your laundry done, and the laundry card in general. Thanks again!
Thank you for watching! Yay, I’m so glad I could help🥰if you go onto my channel I have a video called ‘7 things I’ve learnt in my first year at uni’ and if you skip to 7:26 I speak about the laundry card then. I also speak about it in my ‘things you should bring to uni’ video if that can be of any help. If you still want some information on them I’m happy to help. But hopefully the videos might be able to answer some of your questions❤️
@@lilyellacb Thank you Lily! I’ve just checked those videos out as well, and my doubts regarding the laundry card are all clear now👌🏻 Although, I’d like to request for something else as well: Could you please give me the link to the Starlight lamp that you’ve got in your room? Hiii, thanks for this video .Pleasee I have a few questions. I’ld really appreciate your reply. 1.Are sleep overs allowed? Like can I have a friend over for a night or few days ? 2.Also,for the campus accomodation like single room in Telford court n town house , since all bills are included, is cleaning also included for all public areas (kitchen, tiolet etc) ? 3.Lastly, please even tho is a 44-50wk contract, can I pay weekly or monthly,or must it be full payments of the 44-50wk at once? Really hope you reply.Thanksss🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
@@lilyellacb And comfortable, I literally sleep in it during Winter or when it’s cold 😅😅. Mine has stars and clouds designs on them, but they are faint
Thank you!! I’m not 100% sure as me and my boyfriend have a room each in the same flat, but you could get a twin room which I believe is around £100 pp per week😊
I wouldn’t say it is much hassle really, it’s been alright for us. Everyone’s has their own cupboards, shelves and fridge space☺️I’d say the walls are quite soundproof, but not super soundproof. You can hear people a little bit, but nothing too bad💛
@@lilyellacb Okay thank you! What about the area around Hertfordshire? Is it safe and do you have a enough things to do if you want to go out somewhere nice?
@@moonphi5383 the actual Hatfield area, there isn’t much, but 15 minute drive is St Albans which you can get an Uber to and it’s sooo lovely!! And London is only a 20 minute train ride away :) I’ll try and include some clips of St Albans in my vlog this week☺️
Hi! The rooms for 2021/22 is £154.98 per week. So I got paid my student loan in 3 instalments, the start of the first semester, start of January and then April, and then our accommodation money got taken out a couple weeks or so after our student loan came in, so we were only holding the loan money for a couple weeks before it came out to the uni if that makes sense. So you pay for it 3 times a year☺️
The toilet is okay, not the biggest but has everything you need in it! I showed my toilet last year on my townhouse accommodation tour if you want to see properly what it’s like🥰yeah shared with one person!
There’s parking spaces round the back of the accommodation and when I moved in they let people drive around the front into the court to bring stuff in, so it was really easy☺️
Hey, im applying to this uni for September. I was wondering is this far from the De Havilland campus? And also are you able to order packages to your accommodation? Thank you
The college lane campus is about a 15/20 minute walk from de hav and there are free shuttle buses there too🥰yeah you can order packages, they all get delivered to a place called the oval on campus, so it’s dropped off there and you get an email once it’s arrived to collect it, so very secure❤️what are you planning on studying?😊
@@lilyellacb oh thank you so much, im still deciding what accommodation to choose i really appreciate your help❤️im doing Primary education with QTS xx
@@lilyellacb so my course is on the De Havilland campus so im thinking there but the quality just isnt as modern as your one so im trying to work out whether I mind getting the shuttlebus for 20 mins or not at the moment x
@@karaodriscoll1175 personally for me college lane campus is definitely a winner as the accommodation is nicer and the campus is a lot more social here. A few people in my flats courses are on de hav and the shuttle takes about 5 ish minutes to get to de hav and there’s also plenty of places to lock bikes up if that was an option you wanted to consider, but in terms of walking it’s quite a straight forward route to get to de hav if you were on college lane. Also very dependant on what price accommodation you want to go for and whether you want a bigger bed, en-suite ect. xxx
Hi, I’m not too sure for that course specifically but they have a lot of support staff who can help you post uni getting a job and just pointing you in the right direction :)
I’m not 100% as we weren’t allowed anyone in our accommodation this year, but I believe it’s okay as long as it’s not for more than a couple nights and as long as your other flat mates have said yes :)
very usefull and informative can we live in london and travel daily to haltfield how much time it tKes to travel hatfield to londo? i dm u on ista but u didnt reply there.
Hi! You could, but it would probably be easier living closer to Hatfield, it’s around a 20 minute train journey from London to Hatfield, so would cost quite a bit going there and back potentially daily. Sorry for not replying, it must have got lost in my message requests :)
@@danishch2166 I believe the train one way is around £10, so £20 roughly a day to the station excluding transport from the train station like an Uber or taxi which would be around £5
