As a SCUBA diver, I particularly love this dioroma. One thing that I have noticed is that all of the dioramas I've seen no one has ever shown the air expelled by said divers rising through the water column. I think that doing so will add movement or action to ones dioramas. I do agree that your channel is in the top. 0001%.
Absolutely right. Furthermore, everybody struggles to get rid of the bubbles when creating an underwater diorama, when in reality the bubbles in the water are everywhere.
I thought that this would be the one time when you would want air bubbles in the resin. 🤔 Though I am not sure how to get them to appear to come from just the diver...🤷🏻♂️
i think thalasso hobbyer did this in some of their dioramas, you might be interested in checking them out :D they also added background fish by painting them on pieces of resin, i don't remember if they did it very often though
Ooh check out Thalasso hobbyer’s “Dog Lover and the Nightmare” video! He had a really neat technique for making bubbles trailing up from a diver. In his Far: Changing Tides diorama he also used a similar technique to add fish to the background, which was pretty neat as well. :)
Hey Mr. Hobby Time! I had an idea for a Star Wars diorama. It’s that scene from Rogue One when the U-Wing just barely makes it out of the crashing debris on Jehda and into hyperspace. Just an idea!!!
When an eel bites your thigh And you bleed out and die That's a Moraaaay! Love the video Boylei, Moray Eels are so weird and you did a damn good job on the diver too!
Diver's helmet window/ports made of tube end-cuts was SO very satisfying! I was also been somewhat recently sold on the oil-based washes. Definitely behaves differently than water/acrylic. Oh, and glad one of the Frenchmen came in handy! :)
Every sunday I sit with a hot coffee and watch ur videos doing absolutely nothing, it slowly became my habbit on sunday. The videos are so relaxing. Thanks for giving such content.
Quick tip for adhering plastic to plastic: There's this stuff you can get at most hobby stores called plastic weld usually under the name "Plastruct". It works very well and can still be used even after applying a few layers of acrylic paint.
Yes! I love deep sea horror/horror adjacent stuff. And big clunky dive suits. And watching you make and pour resin. So this was a deeply enjoyable video
I have an idea for a diorama if you’re particularly interested... I think something along the lines of a cross section, showing the interior of a small cabin, decorated with wall mounted heads from monsters the owner has hunted. Maybe a “bear” skin rug, with some kind of unique creature playing the carpet. And if that’s not scary enough for you, you could add a small basement or wine-cellar with some kind of monster waiting for the hunters upstairs to go to sleep. Any way, great work. The stories you’re able to tell in these small dioramas are incredible and always captivating. I’m always excited, seeing a new post. Thanks.
I was really surprised when you put black tape around the bottom to finish it off instead of the infamous Black 3.0 or Black 4.0. I love how this project turned out (like always). All the little bubbles inside help bring out the feeling it's actually underwater instead of just in resin
I really love watching you experiment with new stuff/techniques/colours/tools. It might be scary when they're not as predictable as the tried and true things, but the end result is always interesting.
Wonderful diorama, felt like it would fit into the Imaginary West. Some guy is going spear fishing in his heavy diving suit but ends up facing a giant moray eel who is also out looking for food and a fight ensues.
Oh wow! I have that Moray Figure!!! I backed the Reaper Kickstarter years ago, and that mini is one of the ones that convinced me to do it! It's a spectacular piece and you brought it to life in outstanding fashion! Bravo!
I have a terrible fear of the things that lurk under the surface. And at the same time am absolutely fascinated by shipwrecks and the like. This piece came out great and I like how a couple of simple swaps created your diver to look like he fits perfectly. I wish I could paint half as well as you do, but there's never any harm in trying to get better. Overall a great video! Thanks!
Fantastic, as always! Not only do your builds and finished works never fail to impress me, I always learn something new from them, (and I've been modeling for over half a century.) Keep up the good work! One thing that I just noticed but completely missed on your other, previous videos was at 0:03. It took me THIS long to realize that your workbench clutter spelled "Boylei," with the X-Wing forming the letter "E" . . . . My like is in the 2.1Ks.
I've been watching your videos for like a year or so now (probably less) and only just now realized that the tools and stuff in your intro spell out boylei. Clever
What a great diorama this turned out to be. Your details on the Astro-FFL-diver really worked and I absolutely couldnt tell it wasn't anything but exactly what you turned it into. I hope the resin goes off properly over the next few days now that its out of the mould. Stunning work, and thanks for the video on oils!
Hey Boylei you should ether make a vlogs channel or do vlogs on this channel cuz I want to see you buying the stuff to make the diorama you don’t have to do a face reveal but I just really want to see you do vlogs
Every time I see the boylei logo under a video, I feel pure joy. Love your videos so much! They calm me, while never failing to entertain me. Keep it up!
This is, like all your videos, tremendously skillful and relaxing. I was wondering - way back in the beginning of your imaginary west videos, you mentioned that the monster trade is not only in pelts and goods but also as pets for nor’easterners. I would be most interested to see what constitutes a “pet” from the wild imaginary west!
Right on, C!! Yet another awesome build. Yes, moray eels are somewhat frightening. I had an encounter with one when I was stationed on Guam while scuba diving. -Rick
Nice to see such a good resin cure. A mini spectacular. (Painting is something where you can never stop learning.) I wouldn't worry too much, you have a good skill there.😎
Your diorama’s are wonderful and my girls and I really enjoy watching you create them! Thank you! We would love to see a Biblical diorama….maybe the parting of the Red Sea, Daniel and the lions den, or the a cutaway of the Tabernacle. There’s so much interesting, rich history in the Bible!!
Well done again, I'm from Australia & I was also into SCUBA diving back in the day & have come across Moray Eels on more than one occasion & I can tell you that even the normal sized ones are scary as crap especially when they lunge out of their hole at you.
As impressive as your other builds are, I must admit I love your underwater Diorama’s the most, you should add more deep sea lore to wild imaginary west world
Fantastic undersea diorama Mr Boylei!! That resin came out gorgeous, I'd have thought that this would be the one time when you'd want some air bubbles. Especially if they could appear to be coming from the diver's scuba gear...🤔 Also, I must say that the oil washes on the rocks are spectacular and have really upped the realism of your dioramas. Which for you that is saying a lot. Great job!! 👍🏻👍🏻
I also, made a video a while back where I put an Eel in epoxy resin, it was a Star Wars theme video, with Obi-Wan Kenobi... but it got views about 100x less then this one hahah. Great Project as always.
As a SCUBA diver, I particularly love this dioroma. Absolutely right. Furthermore, everybody struggles to get rid of the bubbles when creating an underwater diorama, when in reality the bubbles in the water are everywhere.
I just got back from a scuba trip today and this is exactly what I needed.
I thought that this would be the one time when you would want air bubbles in the resin. 🤔 Though I am not sure how to get them to appear to come from just the diver...🤷🏻♂️

Hey Mr. Hobby Time! I had an idea for a Star Wars diorama. It’s that scene from Rogue One when the U-Wing just barely makes it out of the crashing debris on Jehda and into hyperspace. Just an idea!!!
He did the Jedha explosion a couple months ago - can't remember if he included the U- Wing but worth checking out if you've not seen it!!
@@jj_eringaAhh right! Perhaps the scene when Vaders Star Destroyer comes out of hyperspace and destroys the rebel frigate then. That would be cool!
If you have an idea, especially one you think is cool, you should totally go and make it! Flex those artistic muscles.
The Last Jedi light speed kamakaze image would be amazing!! No clue how you'd do it as a model tho
pretty cool idea, it would be difficult to suspend all that debri though
One of the best parts of my Sunday is seeing Boylei upload a vid
True...for me...TOOOOOO!! :D
the other best part is church :)
You can say that again
When an eel bites your thigh
And you bleed out and die
That's a Moraaaay!
Love the video Boylei, Moray Eels are so weird and you did a damn good job on the diver too!
An Oldie But a Goldie!!!🤣🤣
🎶When the jaws open wide
And theres more jaws inside
Thats a Moray!🎶
When the teeth don't let go
Then you're gonna know
That's a Moray!
If it lives in a reef
And has 6 rows of teeth
That's a moraaay!
Bro you have the BEST JOKES. “After a little practice, I need a little more practice” classic
Diver's helmet window/ports made of tube end-cuts was SO very satisfying!
I was also been somewhat recently sold on the oil-based washes. Definitely behaves differently than water/acrylic.
Oh, and glad one of the Frenchmen came in handy! :)
Fun fact! Some morays can be friendly and bond with divers who frequent their territories. So maybe the big eel is just greeting an old friend!
Every sunday I sit with a hot coffee and watch ur videos doing absolutely nothing, it slowly became my habbit on sunday. The videos are so relaxing. Thanks for giving such content.
Man, how is this channel not at a million subscribers already!!! Has to be one of the best diorama channels on TH-cam.
Ive been here since before 10k. Doesn't seem that long ago now. Prob be over a million in a few months or sooner!
Quick tip for adhering plastic to plastic: There's this stuff you can get at most hobby stores called plastic weld usually under the name "Plastruct". It works very well and can still be used even after applying a few layers of acrylic paint.
I know you've struggled with resin before. Thank you for showing us how to learn from our mistakes and create better in the future. Great work.
Yes! I love deep sea horror/horror adjacent stuff. And big clunky dive suits. And watching you make and pour resin.
So this was a deeply enjoyable video

I am a fellow hobbyist and a marine biologist in the making (studying it rn), this is so awesome to me! Keep up the good work. :)
Your videos are so relaxing on behalf of all of us thank you
That is the best and only eel-cube I've ever seen.
Great work!
Amazing as always. I love the conversion of the soldier. Especially the little flippers.
The resin looks great! :) Loved this build as usual.
And the bubbles that are left look perfect!
love love how your resin is soooooo clear, I can watch that spinning beauty shot at the end for day! So pretty.
Wow new subscriber! Keep the great work up, it's really interesting to watch!
I know the deep resin pours are always stressful but they’re my favorite ones so thank you for continuing to make them lol
I'm amazed at your ability to week in and week out put out such high quality videos featuring your beautiful artwork. Truly amazing Boylei!
I really love watching you experiment with new stuff/techniques/colours/tools. It might be scary when they're not as predictable as the tried and true things, but the end result is always interesting.
Who else thinks boylei would never be the same if he didnt voice over 😌
👇
heyo boylei! I lovvvvvvveeeeeee your videos so so much! Can you build a wizard wand and a box for it?
Shoutout to Marco! Not Just Mecha is a great channel. His techniques and grasp of color theory are unparalleled.
I look forward to this every Sunday
Marco is really a source of inspiration for us mini painters, glad to know that you discovered him. Amazing project !!
Nicely done, your weekly videos are my Sunday morning moment of Zen.
Damn ... these underwater dioramas are just something else. ❤
Can't wait to see where the painting journey takes you! It's always inspiring to see skilled people working on their skill set
one of my favorite aspects of your pieces is how you capture movement in so many of them. this is really beautiful☺️
Petition to change mooray eel's name into "sea banana"
Wonderful diorama, felt like it would fit into the Imaginary West. Some guy is going spear fishing in his heavy diving suit but ends up facing a giant moray eel who is also out looking for food and a fight ensues.
"after a little bit of practice I can definitely say I need more practice" such a real thing to say.
This is my favorite channel on TH-cam.
Oh wow! I have that Moray Figure!!! I backed the Reaper Kickstarter years ago, and that mini is one of the ones that convinced me to do it! It's a spectacular piece and you brought it to life in outstanding fashion! Bravo!
My favorite video on your channel is the battle of geonoasis dirama
Love this realistic diorama of the unfortunately sea diver....That eel is really good....❤
I have a terrible fear of the things that lurk under the surface. And at the same time am absolutely fascinated by shipwrecks and the like. This piece came out great and I like how a couple of simple swaps created your diver to look like he fits perfectly. I wish I could paint half as well as you do, but there's never any harm in trying to get better. Overall a great video! Thanks!
I must say, this is in my top three video channels, that I have to watch religiously.
what is so appealing about teeny-tiny scenes? I love to watch you work, you always make me laugh too. so clever!
Fantastic, as always! Not only do your builds and finished works never fail to impress me, I always learn something new from them, (and I've been modeling for over half a century.) Keep up the good work!

Another fantastic diorama Boylei. Stay amazing, and stay crafting.
Dude this is definitely one of your best dioramas you've made so far! The paint job looks amazing :D
Been following this channel for as long as I’ve been hobbying. I never get tired of it
Love the content, would love to see a helldivers diorama with the beatiful explosions you do.
"After a lot of practice, it's clear that I need more practice."
Truer words were never spoken.
it looks like a jello cube with how flexible the resin is, another amazing piece
Masterful work once more Boylei. I enjoy your resin builds as well.
I've been watching your videos for like a year or so now (probably less) and only just now realized that the tools and stuff in your intro spell out boylei. Clever

Stunning work, and thanks for the video on oils!
Boyle I hobby time is the best
Beautiful as always!
Never stop learning. Never stop reaching for better. 😊
This is truly a masterpiece. Thank you whoever made it
Another thoroughly enjoyable build. Thank you for spoiling us!
Absolutely amazing I love these water dioramas so much. Anything that uses resin just looks so good imo
Another great builder to follow is Colonel O'Truths Miniature Issues. His Undercrag City is super cool...
Hey Boylei you should ether make a vlogs channel or do vlogs on this channel cuz I want to see you buying the stuff to make the diorama you don’t have to do a face reveal but I just really want to see you do vlogs
Love this Simple and Easy Diorama....
Every time I see the boylei logo under a video, I feel pure joy. Love your videos so much! They calm me, while never failing to entertain me. Keep it up!
It seems like anything completely submerged in water gives a truly impressive look.
Marco's stuff is awesome! Nice diorama, too. :)
Thats real art i want to see in an art museum and my room
This dudes videos make me genuinely happy
Wow that's a really cool one! I'd definitely wouldn't want to meet that eel while swimming!
Hey maybe next time add some bubbles around the eel and above the divers helmet and spear gun! I love your art!
I just got back from a scuba trip today and this is exactly what I needed.
Thank you for getting me into models like this
I have to agree about the Eels. They kinda give me the creeps. Loved the Oil wash it
looks very good.👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
I love watching these resin projects
These videos really help my lunch break
Improve your painting????? Wow - I think it's already stellar. Wish I had your skills.
Another win! Fantastic color for the resin. Looks amazing.
looking forward to Sunday to get more ideas from you, Painting miniature is not easy for me.. , THX
This is, like all your videos, tremendously skillful and relaxing. Nice to see such a good resin cure. A mini spectacular.
(Painting is something where you can never stop learning.) I wouldn't worry too much, you have a good skill there.😎
I'm a day late and watching this on my lunch break.
Glad to see you're still trying resin
Yo! First, terrific little exploration and paint job. Also, thanks for the recommendation for Marco. I watched that video and I was blown away!
Your diorama’s are wonderful and my girls and I really enjoy watching you create them! Thank you! We would love to see a Biblical diorama….maybe the parting of the Red Sea, Daniel and the lions den, or the a cutaway of the Tabernacle. There’s so much interesting, rich history in the Bible!!
every sunday i come here and find my peace
e mek oi larf. larf is good
Love it!!! The resin turned out GREAT! And the paint job looks extra good. Awesome work!!! 👍
Well done again, I'm from Australia & I was also into SCUBA diving back in the day & have come across Moray Eels on more than one occasion & I can tell you that even the normal sized ones are scary as crap especially when they lunge out of their hole at you.
Some intentional bubbles from the diver would have been cool. I wonder how it could be done.
Great build as always!
Nicely done
Who doesn’t love a giant eel trapped in resin Jello
Guster
As impressive as your other builds are, I must admit I love your underwater Diorama’s the most, you should add more deep sea lore to wild imaginary west world
I’ve been looking for astronauts for a while. These look perfect, thanks for the suggestion!!
Always an Outstanding build, Video and presentation.
This is awesome! Glad the resin worked out.
Marco is a magician in league with demonic assistants - no other explanation for his painting skills.
Fantastic undersea diorama Mr Boylei!! That resin came out gorgeous, I'd have thought that this would be the one time when you'd want some air bubbles. Especially if they could appear to be coming from the diver's scuba gear...🤔
Also, I must say that the oil washes on the rocks are spectacular and have really upped the realism of your dioramas. Which for you that is saying a lot. Great job!! 👍🏻👍🏻
That paint job is smashing, well done Mr Boylei
That's gorgeous 👍👍
I would love to see some of these sets placed together
I also, made a video a while back where I put an Eel in epoxy resin, it was a Star Wars theme video, with Obi-Wan Kenobi... but it got views about 100x less then this one hahah. Great Project as always.
Great vid! That Moray Eel was very cool!
