It's just a exponential growth of war-carts. He builds 3, they take a city, he has 2 cities building war carts now. He takes more cities, more and more carts are made. Drown your enemies in war carts, it's what Sean Bean wants.
One of the hidden problems with TSL Earth maps is that the geography is based on TODAY. 2000-4000 years ago the so-called cradle of civilization was far less arid than it is today.
If you go back even a few hundred years Australia was a lot greener than it is today. I do wish that Civ games would implement changing climates into the tiles themselves. Civ 4 had random desertification after nukes were dropped (I think, it has been 6 years since I played it), & Civ 6 has the global warming = sea level rise. But encroaching desert & receding tundra would be a nice touch along with the melting ice.

I almost want to see an updated version of this with duplicates, all city states, secrect societies, heroes and apocalpyse...but I think you'd need to build a custom tower to get it to run. A dedicated custom tower, with no other games (and few other programs).
Watching these games reminded me how production is king in civ 6. Got me thinking about how to balance that. What if food was somehow involved in producing units, especially builders and settlers? What if excess food could be traded for production or gold to other cities or civilizations?
Every time in the early game when you went into population management and didn't change the pop from the 3 food tile to the 4 food wheat tile, it hurt a little.
What a crazy game - that map is so unbalanced! So many terrible city locations :-), it's almost painful to see some of those AI cities. BTW, you mention (IIRC?) sometime that you want the barracks before the catapult so it improves it? But barracks improve anti-cavalry units; stables improve siege units (ref: www.reddit.com/r/CivVI/comments/5r6a6s/tldr_stables_improve_siege_units/ ). Not that the in-game tooltips say so...
potato can you finish marathon huge game and edit them. u never finishes that long game. i know u dont like to play but it will be good content for channel.
Totally feel like when you made some of those deals the computer didn't give you 4 cities that you traded for! 50:58 for the two you traded from Egypt! 1:17:50 for the two you traded from Nubia! Anyone else ever have/notice this problem? Granted I do play the Xbox one version....
They didn't agree to give extra cities, they ceded the ones he captured - they're basically just agreeing that they're yours now. I dunno what happens if you make peace without ceding though

Your first mistake was taking City State off completely. Leave just 1 City State, and watch 13 Civs trip over themselves to kill it.
