Thanks ever so much Rosemarie :) We loved being there, it's so different from the beach, being able to find whole bottles where we usually find small pieces of these bottles! It's tiny treasures on Sunday ( no crafting ) x

@@scottishmudlarking Hello Nicole, & THANKS for your very considerate reply. I know EXACTLY what you mean. Like you, my dream was always to be an archeologist. But I became an English Language Teacher. 🙂 Actually, it was a good 2nd choice for me...because I love to travel. Over the years, I've lived in many interesting countries. For 7 years, I taught English in Turkey & studied the ancient ruins of Gobekli Tepe on 4 different occasions. It's the oldest known human-built structures. If you & Craig ever have the opportunity, I highly recommend you visit the site & the museum; located several miles away. For most of my life, my main interest has been The Ancient Mayan Civilization. So...since 2007...my home has been Yucatan Mexico; the center of The Mayan Empire. Here, I do quite a bit of "amateur" archeology & have become friends with several professional archeologists. They have been kind enough to invite me to participate in many of their excavations at Mayan Ruins in The Yucatan Peninsula & Belize. I believe you can combine your knowledge of architecture & archeology. The varied types//styles of architecture of buildings and other structures at these ancient sites are beyond interesting. If you & Craig ever travel to my region of Mexico, I'd be honored to be your tour guide. 🙂 Best regards, Ben
Thanks so much Noralee! Me either - eyes darting from bottle to bottle, not sure where to start in this new environment :) See you Sunday for the tiny treasures! x
Oh my gosh I wish I were there with you! So exciting to watch you guys pick up all your treasures. I think I enjoy the dumps as much as I do the beach. You get more in tact pieces. You found some really cool pottery too and left quite a bit of pottery I noticed you were in the bottle mode! It’s so wonderful that you both share the same passion. What a fun thing to do together. Love to you both! 💜😎🤟🏻🇺🇸🇺🇦🕊
Thanks so much Liz! I am certainly loving the bottle dumps - we find so many things that we never dreamt we could find!! We did leave most of the pottery this time around ;) we must return and take some and come up with projects we could do! See you Sunday for the tiny treasures ( no crafting ) x
It is so good to see you out in the dumps, cant believe i just said that to someone, and having a marvellous time. I only wish i was there with you. Thank you for taking us there and do stay safe. Tammy🌻
Hahah thanks Tammy! Not sure what to better describe the place - refuse tip, rubbish heap, landfill ... We loved being there and the finds were amazing... so different from the small remnants of these same bottles we find at the beach! Take care x
I am an admirer of the human voice. And none is better than Nicole’s voice ❤️ In a previous video, you observed a little sluggish bee. Nicole responded”A sleepy bee?” That knocked me back down on my couch,it is my favorite thing to hear, ever! The accent, the vernacular of a simple question about a bee,it enchanted me,I shall always re that beautiful sound from a beautiful lady😊😊🥰
We love bees! We had them building a nest behind our shed a few years ago and left them to be - they only live in their burrow for a season and then move on… looking forward to seeing hundreds of bumble bees 🐝 on our lavender soon …
Really enjoyed the energy and happiness that you both conveyed in your video, especially Nicole with her ink bottle and whole bottle finds, AND your tiny bottle find. You are both a joy!!! I love the pieces of Willow pattern as well.
Thanks so much Rebecca! We are so happy in this new environment finding treasures - I think the Blue Willow piece might become a pendant at some point :) It'll be on our new channel though! x
The embossed bottles are always cool. It's so fun to think digging in a dump uncovers treasure! 😁 i can totally see all the prettiest colors sitting on my windowsill. Have a great week. I look forward to Sunday's part 2.
This dump is fabulous!!! Super finds! Craig with your photography skills you make the dump look beautiful. Nicole I love seeing how excited you are with treasures all around. I would find it overwhelming too. Lol Wonderful video. Thanks for a great video. Xxx
Thank you so much Denise :) It's an amazing place and you could be there for weeks and still not looked at everything ! It is overwhelming and you do have to be quite picky as to what to take ... much like we are at the beach, we only take what we can either use or special things! See you soon x
Hahaha Christine!! Oh we have to make choices what we take because our house is already filled with sea glass ;) It's a lot of fun with the wee rake ( don't fancy digging with a spade though! ) ... x
Oh trust me, it's very difficult to not take everything !! But our house is small and filled with sea glass ;) so we decided to take small bottles that we can fit in a shoe box and some other ones for craft projects! It's such a fun place to be ... x
Hello Nicole, Hello Craig, it's been so much fun watching your excitement at the new dump site. I can see so many new and amazing crafts with your finds. Forgive me if I've missed a few episodes as I have been quarantined with Covid pneumonia. Much better now. Loved all your gorgeous finds. Thanks for letting me tag along. Greetings from North Carolina U.S.A.
Thanks so much Peggy! So glad you are on the mend now and feeling better. We have some projects planned with our new finds so keep your eyes peeled :) Take care x
Thanks so much Kellie :) We love researching the history of our finds , it's so interesting to see how advertising has and hasn't changed for lots of products!
Hallo Heike :) I remember Odol from my childhood as a mouthwash too! Here in the UK the old bottles contained a toothpowder and I don't think Odol is still sold here ... I think it's still sold in Germany though? x
How did I miss this episode ??? Love the wee treasures you’ve found! Love the cream jar. I love stoneware. Love the slate pencil. So much to be found here. You need one of those grabber things to avoid the nettles! More treasure! 🦋
Oh! Now there's a good idea! Our, much more basic idea, was we need bamboo to swish through the nettles! haha! Oh! Its a great tip - huge and full of really lovely things... we have to scrape a wee bit harder to see what we find! :D Thank you so much, hope all is well, best wishes, Nicole & Craig xo
Those dumps can certainly produce interesting surprises; we got the impression you were on the verge of a Snoopy dance Nicole!? The two of you seemed to be having a fun day out. Looking forward part 2. Sue and Ian, Australia
Thanks so much Ian and Sue :) Oh there was a wee happy dance in the Sunday video with tiny treasures !! No matter where we are, a marble is always my favourite find but these new places have so many amazing treasures that it's hard to choose a favourite ! x
I could spend hours there! I'll hopefully find a dump soon. I stumbled across a promising area today with "wormsign" as the mudpies say 😂 Whole ginger beers would be the best!
Thanks so much Richard! Wormsign? I don't recall hearing Josie or Andy say that... I'll have to rewatch their videos! Oh whole ginger beers would be amazing, but I think we would have to dig for those with a spade...
Awesome new place! I love all the chirping birdies. Wow on the tiny stuff galore. What do the two of you think about bringing some flower seeds to your dump sites to leave a treasure behind?❤
Thanks so much Kari Anne ! I think that is a fantastic idea to bring some flower seeds and leave them :) It's 'no mow May' at the moment , so we leave our grass for the little birds and flies and have lots of lavender in the garden, which is a haven for bumble bees! It's tiny treasures on Sunday :) no crafting ... x
@@scottishmudlarking That's right, it's mouthwash and you can still buy the bottles like this...best regards, I'm already looking forward to the second part!
Hello 👋 from New York USA you guy's found some amazing finds my favorite definitely was the Ink Bottle and the Furniture Polish Bottle Thank you for bringing me along with you guy's I can't wait to see what you find next 😀 😊

thank you for the lovely video, it's a wonderful spot you have found, there's nothing like scrapping around in an old dump! i appreciate your taking me with you, it helps with such a hard month here in the U.S, after Uvalde, (i am from texas) i have curled up in a ball with the cats and a teddy bear.....the videos help!
I’m late in watching and commenting, as I’ve been traveling. What an amazing adventure! Your excitement is very contagious! It really is like being a child in a candy shop 🍭💕! So many finds, and just thinking about what still lies below the surface is mind-boggling! Thanks for sharing this wonderful video! Do you call it tip larking? Take care! 🙏❤️
Thanks so much Ruth! Hope you had a lovely time travelling :) I can tell you it's really overwhelming being in these dumps or refuse tips - I always wonder what's below the surface and what we left... but you could probably stay there for a week and still not even searched every part! Tip larking is a nicer word than dump diving I reckon ;)
Is that a pipe bowel at 18:00 behind the bottle sticking up between the brown piece on the right and the metal piece on the left? Is that a cod bottle at 25:21 to the left of the screen??
Thanks so much Tina! Oh the things we see when we are back home and Craig edits ... treasures we didn't see on the day! There is at least one thing in this video we missed....
Thanks so much Barbara! We do know the settlements but remember ' rule number 1 of the dump' ... we can't share too much info on the site ! Glad you enjoyed the research :) x
Wow!! My father's name was John Duncan. My ancestors are from Scotland. I wonder if I'm a descendant? I've heard the names Athol, Forfarshire, Dumbarton and a few others.
Duncan - its a great name! A name of Scots royal lineage! Its fairly widespread because of the clan system in Scotland - I'm sure it would be an amazing journey tracing your family tree in Scotland! :D Good luck if you do! :D Thank you so much, best wishes, Nicole & Craig xo
