In 1981 , a few months before this song came out , my beautiful daughter, Isabel was born , and I was present when this blessed event happened . She was then, and still is a shining star . One day , when we were living in her native Santo Domingo , this song came on the radio . I took her in my arms and danced her around a smoothe dance floor . Although she was so young , she clung to me tightly , yet softly and let me lead her in this dance to this lovely song . It felt then , and still does as a forever moment . She was so elegant and lovely . This has been one of my all-time favorite songs and James one of my all-time favorite singers ( tragically gone way too soon ) . As my daughter grew she gravitated to dance and today is a wonderful , creative and gorgeous dancer and choreographer . She may not remember that cherished memory of mine , of that dance , but I feel that somewhere deep down in her soul , that was the very beginning of her career in dance . I met my now fiance when we were both in high school. I was 14 and he was 15. We dated for almost a year before breaking up. In 2008 we reconnect on FB and dated briefly again. The relationship ended because of the distance (he was living in Canada and I was in the US). In 2019 my Uncle in Canada died and I went to the funeral. I saw my ex at the funeral and we fell in love all over again. He sent me this song the day before I was scheduled to leave Canada. I'm happy to say we've been together since. We're engaged and I have since moved to Canada.
