Amethyst is a gateway crystal for many people. That and rose quartz are big ones people see and appreciate and recognize. They don’t feel it to be woo woo and can accept the feelings they get when they touch it or see it. They feel smart when someone says I wonder what all these rocks are. You can pick out amethyst pretty easy without question. And same with rose quartz. They were for me. And my mom liked them when I bought them for her when I was little. It’s also usually less expensive vs. other crystals of the same size etc. she only had crystals I got for her when I was little. Now she’s gone but I’ve picked up my love of crystals again and now I buy ones that speak to me.
