    - In 1989, in Bhagalpur, Bihar
    - From 1990 to 1991, in Aligarh

    According to the Ministry of Home Affairs in India, between 1954 and 1992, there were approximately 13,356 major communal riots related to anti-Muslim sentiments. However, statistics show that since India's independence in 1948, there have been around 100,000 communal riots overall.
    Please note that these events have had significant social, political, and economic implications in Indian society.
    As for the statement about Brahmins, it suggests that as long as Brahmins hold power, discrimination against non-Brahmins and Muslims will continue. However, this statement does not represent the views of all Brahmins or Hindu nationalists.

    Hi, I saw you on Rebecca's livestream... I'm not from India but I wanted you to ask you about *anti-Muslim sentiment* that I see online from people in India... how is it on *the ground*? On one hand, I think its important to deradicalize people and prevent extremism... but with 200 million Muslim people.. it's important to make them feel included and welcomed and safe.. I know in Pakistan / Bangladesh.. it's another story.. but I hold India to a much higher standard.

    • @challenger539
      @challenger539 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah you are principally correct. But there isn't any much of so-called anti-muslim sentiment on ground. It's our struggle against our very constitution and the special laws & privileges given to only Muslims during Nehru which was opposed by all liberals and moderates. Such as in India, Hindus can marry one 1 wife(not bad) but only Muslim men have the right to marry more than 1 wife. Imagine it. This also paved the way for religious conversion of lustrous hindu men to Islam (just for having multiple wives) which even came to Supreme Court sight during the 80s. Then there's thing like "Places of worship act" limiting hindu rights and full privilege to only Muslims and state control over temples but autonomy to Mosques .
      There's Personal Law Board under which Muslims needn't follow Indian Constitutional Laws regarding Personal affairs but Islamic laws. There's something called "Waqf board" which can claim ownership any Public or Private property for building Mosques or Madrasas. Like last year they claimed literally a High Court!(A judicial building)
      And then you or even the government of any levels(if their land is claimed) have to fight legally to prove it doesn't belong to the Waqf board. There was another - "Sacchar Committe Report" now repealed under which in any riot only Hindus are to be arrested and not Muslims (even if involved) . And both the Central Government & State legislatures budget several million dollars for "Madrasa Education" but "0" for traditional Hindu & indigenous culture education. In no Secular nation it is present.
      And social media never decides a general population.
      So I hope you got it, for Muslims they aren't just safe and included but it's almost like an Islamic country where Muslims are minority.
