      Lol man you think cause of your platinum status there not going to send you $2-3 orders? If you think you're only entitled to high paying orders because of platinum status you're dreaming. The reality is someone has to take out the trash like they say and the low paying offers have to get delivered with no exceptions. You think these companies are going to pay you $10 plus for every order they send you?😂

    • @JohnKendziorski

      That’s why at 85-90% AR, I can afford to decline any non-profitable offers that appear. I also have my “way” of utilizing the algorithm to my benefit. Works 90% of the time for me .

      @@bballah9969 know I don’t expect that, and unlike most I don’t deliver for a certain amount, but for what makes sense. Where I live the market is plentiful with decent prices, even with those $2 dollar orders, which I take if they make sense, because customers actually tip out of pocket here. Was just a thought for if you’re in an area, and you know there’s higher orders why send me a $2 dollar at the same time as a $8 dollar order. I’m saying separate the 2. And rather you like it or not I enjoy my platinum, because I worked for it.

    My problem is it feels like we went from being the heros delivering food in 2020/2021 to being delivery servants/peasants here in 2024. Lower pay, acceptance rate manipulation, more and more customers not caring or tipping. Not helping us even get to their location if it's a hard location to get to or gate code

I only tip if it’s a hard task, like if I order 20 pizzas sure I’ll throw you 50 bucks. If all I order is some Taco Bell don’t expect a 20 dollar tip for a simple task.

  • @graycochran2055
    @graycochran2055 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Here is the reason for the rewards system: if the orders don’t get accepted by a driver then DoorDash has to refund the customer and the restaurant throws the food out, so it’s costing someone money to have orders that never get picked up. They are trying to reduce those orders that never get picked up because it costs them money or causes them to loose contracts with the store. So if we all just keep cherry picking and taking the orders that make sense they will have to figure something else out. I’m only taking orders that make sense.

  • @325ariel
    @325ariel 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    I been through this several times, I’ve delivered to the same person more than twice the first time no tip, because another dasher took the food even after they tipped them, and the next two times she tipped even more, because she saw everybody wasn’t the same. We have to understand in every market some dashers make it harder for the next dasher being shady. We also have to understand that just because we work for ourselves doesn’t give us a right to be crappy people and give horrible service. I’ll just say everyone that dash shouldn’t be dashers.

    Hey Guys, Thanks for taking time to share thoughts and experiences Hope you had a great holiday weekend.
    Commenting about showing love to new drivers. My wife started a few months ago and the first five orders she received were trash. DD did not start her out in the Top AR. she finished her first day with like a 13 AR. When I started a while back They started me out as a Top Dasher for the first month. After the first month the orders started slacking. Of course I had watched several videos on accepting orders so I knew what to expect and do.
    Drivers have got to use good judgement on which orders to take if they are going to continue delivering. My minimum is $5 for 2.5 miles or less. From there it goes up.
    As far as tips go: Not really a consideration. Either the order pays well enough for the miles and order size or it does not. If The customer wants to add more it is always appreciated. If they don't; ok, I knew what it paid when it was accepted.
    Safe Deliveries Everyone!

      Nobody should be faced with having to take a 2$ or 3$ orders and that affecting your rating if you don’t accept those . Yeah I don't think we are going to win and end up making more money attacking non-tippers. This isn't going to change them into tippers. You might be able to change the minds of some of them if you speak to them respectfully over time - but calling them trash, losers and putting that out there may even causes good tippers to revolt because they are all part of the "Customer Club" vs the "Dasher Club" and feel like they to are being attacked (because they are in that same "customer club" by what they may percieve as entitled drivers.
    Taking the trash will also not incentivise non tippers to tip - because we are telling them they don't need to.

Your entitled to your opinion care to elaborate and back up your claim as to why it is instead of a single sentence reply that shows you have no valid point? The truth is all these geniuses jumped online and disclosed through social media the strategy they use and how to beat the system. Well that clearly failed and failed miserably, you don't think these companies have employees going through social media and reading all the tips and tricks to beat their system which in turn affects their bottom line which is monetary gain just like any other company.

      You're wrong people who cherry pick will still receive low paying offers and it's a proven fact. It doesn't matter if you're a platinum, gold, silver Dasher you will still get low paying offers that's just the way it is and that will never change. Do you actually think DD or UE is going to reward a cherry picker that purposely declines low paying offers consistently? No absolutely not and they shouldn't deserve high paying orders. So basically what you're saying is dashers with high AR's 80% or higher should get a mix of low paying and high paying offers and dashers with AR's that are 50% or less should only get high paying offers? If you think this is the way this system works your delusional sorry

      My friend of course your not going to get high paying offers with a low AR that's why DD came out with this marketing scam of platinum, gold, silver Dasher so people think "Hey if I accept any or low paying offers I will eventually be rewarded with higher paying offers because I have an high AR" and you and I both know this is not true. I'm a platinum Dasher 80% AR was once at 97% to have a cushion to decline low offers and I still get $2-3 offers. They will continue to send out low offers no matter what level Dasher you are that's just the reality of it

    The issue with this logic is your also hindering the fact that you could be selling the service to some that could potentially be a 20 dollar tipper later, and instead promoting the business model further, ya DD could up the base pay, but there is that "it take money to make money" mindset too. The people out there doing that no tip no trip shit has probably never canvas a brand thru other jobs. I have even delivered phone books while I was in the service, I just remember delivering news papers as a kid.
