The most cringe thing she did was screaming at Tiffany, a grown woman, because she wasn’t crying and having a depressed episode for being eliminated. Tyra really wanted to punish this grown adult and didn’t like that Tiffany wasn’t folding.

With Tyra, though the only ones who almost halfway treated her like she was a God are the models who wanted to work for her. This is solely Tyra being full of herself and having connections. No one really likes her outside of thinking that she's beautiful. She is one of the most hated celebrities when it comes to her personality but they keep pushing her in our face because of her connections. I agree with you, don't get me wrong, but THIS is a case where it is really her. She is her own biggest fan. No one praises her except for herself and the people that want to work for her. I remember watching that season and that episode when it first aired and being angered by the way Tyra snapped on this girl. From what the audience at home could see, Tyra was just annoyed because the young lady Tiffany was smiling defeatedly when she got eliminated and was hugging her friends and telling them she’d be ok, and Tyra wanted a more dramatic upset reaction for ratings, I’m sure. So she starts telling the girl to be quiet and yelling to her face. Throughout the season, the girl had had to endure being called ghetto and ridiculed for how she talked, her accent, etc. I personally would’ve cussed Tyra out on her own show. The cameras would’ve had to be cut. Idgaf!

There is a balance: it’s called being normal & being healthy at a healthy weight at the same time. Someone who is 192 pounds may not look morbidly obese or fat … someone who is 165 pounds could, in fact, be bottom heavy …. Not every number on the scale represents what you actually look like in person.

The moments that struck me most as a Black girl watching the show at 12 years old, was her shaming/mocking a Black model for taking pride in her African heritage, and shaming another Black model for not wanting to work with/kiss a racist for a commercial.

I went for American top model short girl and they told me I was plus size and they didn't need any plus size model. I wore size 2 dress size 1 pants and sm tops . bc of that I thought I needed to be skinner until I was 83 pounds no period and so sick. took 8 years to get back to my normal weight.

This is when I stopped watching show. If you remember the young lady she was yelling at will state and how she had it rough and she didn't read well and she was self-conscious about a lot of things about herself and they use that against her and then humiliated her on TV and no one stood up for her it was embarrassing moment to have a quote on quote top model yell at you and no one say anything to her.
The way Tyra shamed that one contestant for the gap between her teeth and then went on to create a tooth gap for contestants where none existed during the makeovers on later cycles. Awful woman.
