How to Use Flop Shots in WGT

In this video I discuss the importance of flop shots in World Golf Tour and give a short tutorial. This video is not fully inclusive of every type of flop shot you could hit, so I recommend experimenting and practicing with flip shots on your own as well. Thank you for watching!

I leave the maker where it is, but I hit way, way early. So on a flop I use the first line of the light grey section as my ding point. It corrects the movement to the right pretty much 99.9% of the time. It works a treat for me.

Flop shots, in the conditions you showed, are for beginners. No Tour Champion I know of uses this shot very often.

Hmm, interesting! What kind of shots do you or they prefer to hit in situations where I might use a flop shot?

@@sftgolfer2000 The reason why is that they are notoriously hard to hole. They get one close to the hole and that is about it. Best to use full backspon pitch shot that hits and rolls a bit or pitch that rolls some what longer. Never, server use a chip shot. They are the most inconsistent shot in the bag. Young46 has a TH-cam video on this that explains the subtleties.
