- I take a stroll along the 1400 foot beachfront walkway in Chaguaramas, Trinidad and enjoy the cool Caribbean breeze that blows in off of the waters in Williams Bay. The combination of the nearby sea water gently lapping at the shore, the boardwalk and the green foliage make this destination picture perfect.

I grew up going to Chagaramas every Sunday in the 80’s, with pelau in tow, orchard drinks and hops with cheese. My dad loved this place. It’s nothing the way I remember as a kid, it looks so differently now. Thanks for the content. Makes my memories so much more valuable with my dad 🇹🇹❤️ he loved Chag.

Thanks for the video. This area was not developed when I lived in Trinidad, but while there on vacation, I passed there when I was going for a drive in Chaguaramas. The big difference between Trinidad and Canada is how the park areas are kept. The Canadian government would never let their public park areas get run down, not even in the height of COVID. It is sad that because of Trinidad's location, the beaches are not like those in some of the northern islands. I will make sure I visit this location the next time I am in the country. More marketing is needed for areas like these. I really had no idea it was such a beautiful area.

Yes our island is surrounded more why th e Atlantic ocean and were situated in the mouth of South America so we miss out on the beautiful Caribbean sea waters that surrounds most of the other Caribbean islands

Pleasant good morning Alan,your description of your stroll sounds like I was reading it in a novel,very nice (hint) love what the CDA has done to the area, I used to stop there on my way to Macquripe bay (my favorite ) many moon ago,never bathe though at Williams bay, there was alway a sigh warning of possible raw sewage in the water hope that problem was "fixed" The stingray was a bonus for me. 8~D

We use to swim out to the island from behind the Alcoa and go fishing as a man in my teens n 20s those we're the days 5 islands monas Island gasparee islands n carerra the prison island the bread they took to the prisoners was flaky n crispy

I cannot stay more than 2 weeks in Trinidad we they come on vacation. Most only do Maracas and a few clubbing on The avenue. I did my research before I visited. I did so much . Only because I keep up with what’s going on in Trinidad. Could you do a, You pick it farm visit!

Was I the only one here this man continuously say Broadwalk instead of Boardwalk lolol. And just to ensure I was hearing him correctly, I put on the closed captioning and had it confirmed. We trinbagonians yes, never pronouncing the places correct lol. Tell us to pronounce San Juan, Sangre Grande and Princes Town...we never even close to the word lol.

Can you even swim here? is this the place with plenty raw sewage? it seems like the only good beaches are on the coast and probably not friendly for someone who wants to ride a bicycle to there?
You may not want to swim, but if you want to kayak or jetski you may get wet. I've personally found the water to be itchy on the police post side, so I don't even get my feet wet. I Prefer maquerpie just 5 minutes away.
People swim and ride here all the time. Its at the discretion of the individual
@@itsme_shanti is maquerpie dangerous? I heard there was lots of huge drops due to submarines in WW2 and well I can't swim. If this is true I can't believe no one ever bothered to fix it?
@@kinghadu9611 I'm not a great swimmer either but I wouldn't sink. I still stay close to shore not where the waves break though. Yes, there are deep areas but if you're not going to far in then there's not need to worry.

You need to utilize locals to give more accurate info like all international vloggers do....you are doing a good job but we can't expect you to know everything from each area
I have no idea what the tourist board advertises or really does. I only found out about this place while passing there 7 years ago when I was on vacation. There are so many places in Trinidad to visit yet all they seem to focus on is places like Maracas and carnival. If they want to get into tourism they are going to have to utilize every area that has something to offer on the island and do a lot of marketing. The TH-camrs like this gentleman are doing much more for the marketing of the country. I wanted to go on some tours to different parts of the island and I had no idea how to find a reputable tour company. I have seen much more from TH-camrs.

He could always add a Tour guide to his videos ..but it would cost him more money lol

I my self became a certified Tour Guide was finishing my classes when the pandemic hit....since then I am not too anxious to go out with covid still active and now monkey pox....In the meantime am gaining knowledge on videos like these and reading up...
My teacher is one of the best Tour guides in this country... She's very knowledgeable.
I agree with you a hundred percent a lot of these beautiful small locations are not promoted enough... A lot of the average citizens doesn't even know these places exist
