Mike. No defense is needed. Anyone who does car diagnostics knows there are more “Oh $ht” moments than “Aha. Gotch figured out “ ones. I’ve seen plenty of them on SMA and SD videos. Been on the diag end of even more in 50 yrs as a tech. Del
You don't need to apologize, Mike. The trolls are busy and try to make people feel bad. Be proud of what you do and I'll be watching, along with many folks who respect you.
A lot of YT channels have "the other shop sucks" type videos when it comes to diagnostics. I try not to watch those. SMA has a great balance of diagnostics, plus real life situations, like pattern failures. Plus he's cool just to listen too.
Hey man, your channel, your rules. I'm an OG SMA sub myself. From back when Eric was somewhat awkward in front of the camera! Now look at him--dude's a legend.
to me the diag can be more important than the actual part change especially with all the electronics. You may want to explain why you are changing xxx part without all the detail.
The unfortunate part you will never ever be able to make the trolls happy so don’t even bother with them you do you like you said it’s your channel and have fun sharing your knowledge. The people trolling you probably don’t even know their head from a hole in the ground.
I own a shop and have been thinking about making a channel for a while now. I do a lot of complex diagnostic work but if I made a video of the entire process it’s not gonna get many views. However if anything I would just do the key points.
That is exactly the way to do it, cut out the stuff that no one will watch, but then you will get the you didn't show this crowd in the comments. Diagnostic videos are very complex in terms of making them good with a lot of relevant key points and keeping it easy for people to understand.
You don't have to explain anything to trolls..(That's all they are).. just do your thing the way you do..stick to a format and don't cater to ANYONE..you'll be fine
It would be cool seeing the diagnostic process but to make an assumption that your not diagnosing cars properly before repairing them is crazy. Diagnosing cars on youtube has become a meme.

Thank you, Del…. It doesn’t bother me, but I always like setting the record straight being a tech you and I both know how diagnostics can go 😁

Yeah, there is a lot of that going on out there and I try not to do that!
