Stopped to take a look at this one in the early 1990’s on my way up to the Castle Air Museum - at that time was just the B-17, good to see it’s still in great shape.
I've passed these old War Birds many times over the years while driving to or from L.A. to the S.F. Bay Area and, Modesto CA. I know several Air Force Veterans who were stationed at Castle Air Force Base. One of them drove his wife, my wife and I around the perimeter of the Base. He showed us where he worked and, where he and his family lived. Inside the security fence there is/was at the time, an SR-71. What a sleek plane it is.
