However, they said Bs&t was their first Bop song that won 7-8 awards. They were so shook and amazed that they won so many inkigayo awards with Bs&t. I thought „How aren‘t they already popular???“ And in the same year they won their first daesang (artist of the year)... AND I COULD WITNESS IT LIVE.. Everything started with Young Forever Album ( I need u, Run, Fire..) and Wings album ( Bs&t)

I've been an army since their pre-debut (I was still a med student that time). They are not from the big company so when they were introduced to debut, there were only 200 people on the live set up and we were only 1000+ on the online. But I can see how happy they were despite of few people to support them. I was always there when they do VLIVE and I can really see their genuine love towards their fans and they are not awkward to their fans unlike other KPOP idols doing VLIVE (That is why I stayed being an ARMY). Many told me that I am stanning a wrong group since they are not from BIG3 (JYP, YG,SM). But I don't know, their songs has something that gives me hope and encouragement especially in my school. Believe me, even I am just a fan. It did hurts me when BTS do VLIVE and there were only few viewers and when they went on stage to try show their talents but got no awards. Everytime they went to award shows I always pray they'll break a leg. Also, they are not really prioritized and sometimes neglect in variety shows, because they were not big that time. There was one VLIVE when Suga just smiled empty when someone commented about his rap to certain hosts but they ignored it. Still, hoping they will be given spotlight, I even saved my allowance before so I can buy a ticket and their lightstick (Lol I know i'm not a good example as a student) Fast forward 9 years later, they are now nominated on lots of international awards and has the largest global fandom. And I am now a licensed physician🥰 (thabks to their encouraging songs). They made it! And I can't be more proud of them and proud of myself (together with my fellow early ARMYSs) for not leaving the fandom despite of lots of discouragement we heard from other people, and believing them that they will make it. CAUSE THEY MADE IT!❤👏👏

I've only been ARMY since Oct 2019. 2020 I was pregnant with my second child, had a 2 yr old toddler, it ended up being very difficult for me after the baby was born and with COVID going on. BUT through everything BTS got me through in ways I never expected. So grateful for them then and now! I love to see stories like yours of ARMYs being with them since the beginning! 🥰

I've been an army since 2013 and I just remember asking (kind of like Jin lol) "do you have bts?" at kpop stores and anime conventions and everyone said no and then one day they were everywhere, everyone knew who I was talking about. It was amazing to experience and I'm so thankful I gave them a chance (I didn't like them upon first listen, I'm a goof) because they and the amazing fanbase have changed my life, my god, I've never been in a fandom like this. G-Dragon is Jungkook's idol inspiration even. You can see him fanboying over GD in 2015 MAMA show. But ofc, BIGBANG are 2nd gen legends. This video means a lot to me. I'm still trying my very best to catch up all the 2013-2022 memories of BTS. Most especially from the time where they came from and where they started.
They say that BTS spoiled award shows by winning everytime and isn't giving chances to other idols... But they've been patiently waiting for TWO years to win an award. It's not like they are locking up the other idols in the basement to not win any awards. it's all because of their hardwork and patience💜 They absolutely deserve every achievements and feats they've achieved till now.
I usually think fans are demeaning their groups when you say BTS should stand aside and let them win...some things should be earned, and BTS earned all the wins they get. Nobody stood aside for BTS, this is literally their blood sweat and tears that they're enjoying right now. Expecting others to 'let' you win is like admitting that you're not worthy or up to the challenge lmao.
it's the fact that for Namjoonie and Yoongi it was 5 years in the making...kills me everytime I think about the fact that they both didn't expect anything, worked so hard for years, sacrificed so much and finally won...i can't wait for June 2025 for BTS to reunite as 7...
I'll be honest, I ain't the biggest Army out here, and I don't stan BTS in a hardcore way. I love them loads, I love their songs, I love their personalities and I love all the members. Them winning for the first time seemed quite long ago, but yet it was only last year. 2015 and 2016 have been the best years for Bangtan in my opinion, rising to fame and releasing big hits. I don't love them for their fame though. Of course it's nice, but everything they've done since debut has been so inspiring and they have worked so hard. I hope people won't complain that BTS is getting overrated, because they get so many fans for a reason. We love them just as much as they love us, and understand that all idols work hard so not only will it benefit themselves, it will also benefit their fans and make them a proud fandom.

I became an army since early Danger era. I remember their 1st win.. When they won i cried and felt so happy because at that time there was not a lot army to help stream their mv. So we did our best to stream their INU mv.. like at that moment, my mind is all about bts. When they got their 1st win, it felt very rewarding to us armys too. It was such a wonderful moment seeing them grow from the bottom to the top with my own eyes. Even though now I can't really help armys to stream their mv and watch their shows because i'm very busy with college, I still fully support them in my heart. My memories with BTS will always be with me til I'm old.
I am an old army too I am with them since the beginning. Back on those days I was very much into kpop but I remember I stopped for a while after they debuted because I was doing my thesis. I finished my degree on June 2014. Then on August 2014 BTS made their comeback with the Dark & Wild album and from then forward I haven't stopped supporting them. I remember just as how you described that we armys would stream as much as we could and also twit a lot. I would have playlist on repeat and leave my laptop on while I was sleeping or at work lol. We were so united and other fandoms threw hate at our boys a lot. We always supported BTS and we were not known to be a toxic fandom as it is known today. We would always stay quiet because we were a small fandom and our boys were from a small company. I remember their 1st win, I couldn't believe it!! I think I even cried lol. Then the second win came up and do you remember that V got hate because he was singing a bigbang song while BTS was being awarded? you can see it on this video and then for the 3rd win you can see V being very quiet and with a straight face :'( we were so heartbroken. BTS received so much hate when they began to be recognized, I think it was because the other fandoms felt threatened because back then it was very rare for small agency groups to win on music shows. I still listen to kpop but I am not a hardcore kpop fan as before. I only fully support BTS and they will always be my #1 group and I will always carry them in my heart. I love them so much!! Listening to their music and watching their videos has helped me when I have had difficult or sad times so BTS is very fond of me and I will always be an ARMY until I die. Sorry I got melancholic. Same here, I joined in 2014/2015, when INU and Dope came out. I had casually heard their songs before (Danger, Boy In Luv, etc) but became a real ARMY after seeing INU and Dope. They were breaking so many boundaries! And then I went back and watched their No More Dream/N.O stuff and Cyphers and became HOOKED. Baepsae was my favourite cause it was so unique with the meaning (didn't even have a dance yet lol). Here was REAL TALENT and no one gave a shit about them?! Even saying their 1st win was a fluke? Saying they were ugly? (and to be fair they DIDN'T fit the standards back then, but I loved how real and not-plastic they were) Back then BTS was hated on, people claiming they were copying others when it was obvious they were digging for shit to "cancel" them - when actually others copied BTS after their success with storytelling in INU/Run MVs, and started a trend of filmic MVs with no choreo, etc. And I was there for Run comeback and I remember staying up to stream it lol BTS was severely hated on back then (and kinda are now, but it's better cause they are OBVIOUSLY no. 1 & no one can argue otherwise). BigHit had nothing, their concepts were too challenging, they had a lot of things banned from broadcast, they had no platforms... They just wanted to connect with fans, so they posted online openly (Bangtan Bombs, Twitter etc), and we all fell in love seeing the boys as goofy, passionate, hard working HUMANS and not K-pop GODS (which is how a lot of Big 3 companies marketed their idols) Always been a fan and always will be. ARMY/BANGTAN forever.

this actually brings back memories. I've been an Army since 2013. I remember how Jungshook I was when I watched them for the first time with their We Are Bulletproof Pt2. The dance breaks from Jhope, Jimin and Jungkook's hat trick got me into being a fan. And since then I really established an emotional bond with this group. I can still remember them giving free tickets to people for their concert and it broke my heart really to see their hardships. But I was so sure these guys will be on top of the Kpop Industry in the near future and I was right! They even soared higher than I've expected. From giving away free tickets, people are now dying to go their concert.

When I was 12 I watched bts perform dope live and saw the crowd all chanting but they only had 2 songs on uk iTunes and everyone said they weren’t popular(I was new to kpop and was looked down on cos I didn’t like exo and the popular groups)I couldn’t understand why and thought it was an injustice, these boys didn’t just make their dream come true at this moment they made my 12 year old self’s dream come true all I had wanted was to see them prosper and they made my wish come true ❤️then I grew to be popular at school and I always promoted my boys but I had imposter syndrome because K-pop wasn’t popular and it was a sign of my old self being there and so promoted them harder made them a norm played their music when I was getting ready for PE with the popular girls even if some of them didn’t like it I’d just turn it off I was just happy they listened a little bit and I wished they’d be more known in the UK and then they started charting and being played on the radio here too everyone was talking about them and people liked them my friends would sing their songs sometimes not even knowing it was BTS until I told them , i got to take my friend to the wemberly my concert too and they had posters in their rooms, they once again made my dreams come true, every time I felt like I didn’t fit somewhere BTS always made it ok in the end ❤️
I will always remember that even there is another group famous later, BTS is the only legend in my heart... I know famous is not forever.... I think im As boy As well As ARMY..... never regret to support them.... My first and last - BIAS GROUP.... No one can replace them💜

I've been an army since their pre-debut (I was still a med student that time). They are not from the big company so when they were introduced to debut, there were only 200 people on the live set up and we were only 1000+ on the online. But I can see how happy they were despite of few people to support them. I was always there when they do VLIVE and I can really see their genuine love towards their fans and they are not awkward to their fans unlike other KPOP idols doing VLIVE (That is why I stayed being an ARMY). Many told me that I am stanning a wrong group since they are not from BIG3 (JYP, YG,SM). But I don't know, their songs has something that gives me hope and encouragement especially in my school. Believe me, even I am just a fan. It did hurts me when BTS do VLIVE and there were only few viewers and when they went on stage to try show their talents but got no awards. Everytime they went to award shows I always pray they'll break a leg. Also, they are not really prioritized and sometimes neglect in variety shows, because they were not big that time. There was one VLIVE when Suga just smiled empty when someone commented about his rap to certain hosts but they ignored it. Still, hoping they will be given spotlight, I even saved my allowance before so I can buy a ticket and their lightstick (Lol I know i'm not a good example as a student)
Fast forward 9 years later, they are now nominated on lots of international awards and has the largest global fandom. And I am now a licensed physician🥰 (thabks to their encouraging songs). They made it! And I can't be more proud of them and proud of myself (together with my fellow early ARMYSs) for not leaving the fandom despite of lots of discouragement we heard from other people, and believing them that they will make it.

I've only been ARMY since Oct 2019. 2020 I was pregnant with my second child, had a 2 yr old toddler, it ended up being very difficult for me after the baby was born and with COVID going on. BUT through everything BTS got me through in ways I never expected. So grateful for them then and now! I love to see stories like yours of ARMYs being with them since the beginning! 🥰

I felt so sad when Hobi said *"Just don't expect anything"* they must have gone through a lot during that period, they worked so hard on the album but still they were scared that it wasn't good enough to take the award. This video means a lot to me. I'm still trying my very best to catch up all the 2013-2022 memories of BTS. Most especially from the time where they came from and where they started.
They say that BTS spoiled award shows by winning everytime and isn't giving chances to other idols... But they've been patiently waiting for TWO years to win an award. It's not like they are locking up the other idols in the basement to not win any awards. it's all because of their hardwork and patience💜 They absolutely deserve every achievements and feats they've achieved till now.

I'll be honest, I ain't the biggest Army out here, and I don't stan BTS in a hardcore way. I love them loads, I love their songs, I love their personalities and I love all the members. Them winning for the first time seemed quite long ago, but yet it was only last year. 2015 and 2016 have been the best years for Bangtan in my opinion, rising to fame and releasing big hits. I don't love them for their fame though. Of course it's nice, but everything they've done since debut has been so inspiring and they have worked so hard. I hope people won't complain that BTS is getting overrated, because they get so many fans for a reason. We love them just as much as they love us, and understand that all idols work hard so not only will it benefit themselves, it will also benefit their fans and make them a proud fandom.

I became an army since early Danger era. I remember their 1st win.. When they won i cried and felt so happy because at that time there was not a lot army to help stream their mv. So we did our best to stream their INU mv.. like at that moment, my mind is all about bts. When they got their 1st win, it felt very rewarding to us armys too. It was such a wonderful moment seeing them grow from the bottom to the top with my own eyes. Even though now I can't really help armys to stream their mv and watch their shows because i'm very busy with college, I still fully support them in my heart. My memories with BTS will always be with me til I'm old.

I am an old army too I am with them since the beginning. Back on those days I was very much into kpop but I remember I stopped for a while after they debuted because I was doing my thesis. I finished my degree on June 2014. Then on August 2014 BTS made their comeback with the Dark & Wild album and from then forward I haven't stopped supporting them. I remember just as how you described that we armys would stream as much as we could and also twit a lot. I would have playlist on repeat and leave my laptop on while I was sleeping or at work lol. We were so united and other fandoms threw hate at our boys a lot. We always supported BTS and we were not known to be a toxic fandom as it is known today. We would always stay quiet because we were a small fandom and our boys were from a small company. I remember their 1st win, I couldn't believe it!! I think I even cried lol. Then the second win came up and do you remember that V got hate because he was singing a bigbang song while BTS was being awarded? you can see it on this video and then for the 3rd win you can see V being very quiet and with a straight face :'( we were so heartbroken. BTS received so much hate when they began to be recognized, I think it was because the other fandoms felt threatened because back then it was very rare for small agency groups to win on music shows. I still listen to kpop but I am not a hardcore kpop fan as before. I only fully support BTS and they will always be my #1 group and I will always carry them in my heart. I love them so much!! Listening to their music and watching their videos has helped me when I have had difficult or sad times so BTS is very fond of me and I will always be an ARMY until I die. Sorry I got melancholic. Sorry for my English. I Love You ARMYs!! Let's keep supporting BTS.

Same here, I joined in 2014/2015, when INU and Dope came out. I had casually heard their songs before (Danger, Boy In Luv, etc) but became a real ARMY after seeing INU and Dope. They were breaking so many boundaries! And then I went back and watched their No More Dream/N.O stuff and Cyphers and became HOOKED. Baepsae was my favourite cause it was so unique with the meaning (didn't even have a dance yet lol). Here was REAL TALENT and no one gave a shit about them?! Even saying their 1st win was a fluke? Saying they were ugly? (and to be fair they DIDN'T fit the standards back then, but I loved how real and not-plastic they were)
Back then BTS was hated on, people claiming they were copying others when it was obvious they were digging for shit to "cancel" them - when actually others copied BTS after their success with storytelling in INU/Run MVs, and started a trend of filmic MVs with no choreo, etc.
And I was there for Run comeback and I remember staying up to stream it lol
BTS was severely hated on back then (and kinda are now, but it's better cause they are OBVIOUSLY no. 1 & no one can argue otherwise).
BigHit had nothing, their concepts were too challenging, they had a lot of things banned from broadcast, they had no platforms... They just wanted to connect with fans, so they posted online openly (Bangtan Bombs, Twitter etc), and we all fell in love seeing the boys as goofy, passionate, hard working HUMANS and not K-pop GODS (which is how a lot of Big 3 companies marketed their idols)
Always been a fan and always will be. ARMY/BANGTAN forever.

this actually brings back memories. I've been an Army since 2013. I remember how Jungshook I was when I watched them for the first time with their We Are Bulletproof Pt2. The dance breaks from Jhope, Jimin and Jungkook's hat trick got me into being a fan. And since then I really established an emotional bond with this group. I can still remember them giving free tickets to people for their concert and it broke my heart really to see their hardships. But I was so sure these guys will be on top of the Kpop Industry in the near future and I was right! They even soared higher than I've expected. From giving away free tickets, people are now dying to go their concert.

When I was 12 I watched bts perform dope live and saw the crowd all chanting but they only had 2 songs on uk iTunes and everyone said they weren’t popular(I was new to kpop and was looked down on cos I didn’t like exo and the popular groups)I couldn’t understand why and thought it was an injustice, these boys didn’t just make their dream come true at this moment they made my 12 year old self’s dream come true all I had wanted was to see them prosper and they made my wish come true ❤️then I grew to be popular at school and I always promoted my boys but I had imposter syndrome because K-pop wasn’t popular and it was a sign of my old self being there and so promoted them harder made them a norm played their music when I was getting ready for PE with the popular girls even if some of them didn’t like it I’d just turn it off I was just happy they listened a little bit and I wished they’d be more known in the UK and then they started charting and being played on the radio here too everyone was talking about them and people liked them my friends would sing their songs sometimes not even knowing it was BTS until I told them , i got to take my friend to the wemberly my concert too and they had posters in their rooms, they once again made my dreams come true, every time I felt like I didn’t fit somewhere BTS always made it ok in the end ❤️
I will always remember that even there is another group famous later, BTS is the only legend in my heart... I know famous is not forever.... I think im As boy As well As ARMY..... never regret to support them.... My first and last - BIAS GROUP.... No one can replace them💜
