In this video I analyze who would win between the Ninja Turtles and the Robins, using feats and scaling from the main DC Comic and IDW universe.
Nightwing is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The character has appeared in various incarnations; the identity was adopted by Dick Grayson when he left his role as Batman's vigilante partner Robin. Although Nightwing is commonly associated with Batman, the title and concept have origins in classic Superman stories. The original Nightwing in DC Comics was an identity assumed by alien superhero Superman when stranded on the Kryptonian city of Kandor with his friend Jimmy Olsen. Drawing inspiration from Batman and Robin, the two protect Kandor as the superheroes Nightwing and Flamebird. Following the Crisis on Infinite Earths continuity reboot in 1985, Nightwing was re-imagined as a legendary vigilante from Krypton whose story inspires Dick Grayson's choice of name when he leaves behind his Robin identity.Other stories set among the Batman family of characters have seen acquaintances and friends of Grayson briefly assume the title, including his fellow Robin alumnus Jason Todd. Meanwhile, Superman stories have seen Superman's adopted son Chris Kent and Power Girl take up the name for brief turns as Nightwing. Various other characters have taken the name in stories set outside DC's main continuity as well.The Red Hood is an alias used by multiple characters appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The storyline depicts an unnamed criminal wearing a red dome-shaped hood who, after a chance encounter with Batman, is disfigured by chemicals and becomes insane, giving birth to his future Joker persona.Five decades later, the identity was used again in the 2005-2006 story arc, Batman: Under the Hood, in which Jason Todd, Batman's second crime-fighting partner who had been killed by the Joker, comes back to life as a violent vigilante, using his killer's former alias. Since his return, Jason operates as the Red Hood in the main DC Comics continuity. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, sometimes abbreviated to TMNT, is an American media franchise created by the comic book artists Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird. It follows Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michelangelo four anthropomorphic turtle brothers trained in ninjutsu who fight evil in New York City. Supporting characters include the turtles' sensei, a rat called Splinter, their human friends April O'Neil and Casey Jones, and enemies such as Baxter Stockman, Krang, and their archenemy, the Shredder.
The franchise began as a comic book, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which Eastman and Laird conceived as a parody of elements popular in superhero comics at the time. In 1987, Eastman and Laird licensed the characters to Playmates Toys, which developed a line of Turtles action figures. About US$1.1 billion of Turtles toys were sold between 1988 and 1992, making them the third-bestselling toy figures ever at the time.
The action figures were promoted with an animated series, which premiered in 1987 and ran for almost a decade. Several films were released; the first, released in 1990, became the highest-grossing independent film up to that point. Exactly. The turtles had to deal with supernatural and legendary foes, far physically superior, and even one far intellectually superior. As ninjas, they are specialized with their own weapon sets, but are still capable of using other weapons at disposal, even utilize their surroundings. Basically, Leo and Donatello = Batman alone, but the entire group...
And Robins...as good as they might be, they are sidekicks, and most of partners that team up with Batman, almost always get him caught. Robins don't work in a tag team work, especially against as someone as TMNT

Batman vs Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is a pretty cool crossover, and it’s awesome to see the Dark Knight fighting against Shredder. Also, Ninja Turtles being in Injustice 2 is extra awesome as well.
I love it, too, but it was kinda weird how batman got a crossover with the ninja turtles, yet Spider-Man hasn't as far as I can tell

So basically: TMNT doesn't suffer powercreep because it's a more closed setting so they're less powerful than the batfam who are in an expanded universe and thus power creep with it

@@CRISIS_COMICS I mean, for believable individuals, yeah. But all of the Bat Family are human so when they power creep, it seems unbelievable (which it is). Stretches the the readers or watchers disbelief immensely, making suffer the right word here.
I wouldn't say "suffer," but ya, basically, at least for this Turtles continuity, until you get into the crossovers. When you get into the crossover, it gets crazy though like the Power Rangers crossovers. Base Power Ranger scale to planetary levels and mftl+ speeds. So not only can the Turtles scale to them but also get their own Ranger Powers...twice. Though that's not that crazy considering other versions of the Turtles scale to that.

I like it. As much as I love the IDW version of the Turtles they live in a world where the overall power level is more contained and even when it expands for a story it generally resets at the end. The Robins are super heroes that live in a world based around thousands of other super heroes and villains are getting coffee at the Starbucks around the corner.

Like what criteria should be consistent with a character and when it shouldn’t?
CIS: Character Induced Stupidity. Describes a situation where a character behaves out of his/her typical personality, or when a character is not using the full extent of his/her abilities (due to morals, underestimating the opponent, or any other reason). For example: Hulk beating Thor is CIS, since Thor is holding back.
PIS: Plot Induced Stupidity. Describes a situation where something that should not happen logically, happens for the sake of the plot. For example: Two-Face beating Batman in a fight is PIS, since Batman is obviously far more skilled than Two-Face.
WIS: Writer Induced Stupidity. Describes a situation where something that is obviously impossible happens due to the writer being ignorant, stupid or really bad. For example: Red Hulk punching The Watcher in the face is WIS, since the extremely large difference between the two is more than obvious and such a feat cannot be explained or justified in any way whatsoever.

Interesting assessment but... if we're counting the Batman crossovers, you forgot that Batman gave the Turtles the Robin Training program.
That means the Turtles would have even more knowledge on how the Robins fight, incorporate it into their own training, and possibly dismantle whatever the Robins throw.
Interesting comment but... all of the Robins are so far beyond their foundational training by now that giving the Turtles that training program is insulting if anything.

After going over this video, Damian and Michelangelo are a bit more in common now. Not only are they the youngest of their brothers, they both have the most potential as fighters than their bros.
Correct me, if I'm wrong, but I was under the impression that the All Blades could only be summoned against pure evil. This could explain why Jason doesn't always summon them ?
He doesn't summon them against Joker or undead versions of super villains in Task Force Z. He just doesn't use them; they've been forgotten.
The All Blades were somewhat an ass addition to his character because the Outlaws never had many villains that were pure evil, in the new 52 and Rebirth they usually aimlessly roamed around Earth with no goal written.

It’s kinda Funny how you’re using IDW which is literally one of the weakest if not The Weakest versions of the Tmnt and putting them up against the most powerful Base Robins.
If it was 2012, 2003, 2007, 1987, 2018, Archie Comics, 1984..any of these versions stomp those Robins.
Literally all it takes is 2012 Leo and 2012 Raphael, and I Guarantee the Tmnt would win.

Of the Turtles I think the only versions of the Turtles that could be a challenge to the Robins are the Rise Turtles at the end or when the Turtles could turn into fire breathing dragons

I can imagine now the fight would go something like this: Damian and Raph start by fighting, which Raph beats the crap outta the brat, but Jason comes in and with a few grenades and electrified crowbars beats him up. Then Tim and Donnie would enter a battle of strategy, while Nightwing holds off the other two turtles. Tim and Donnie keep going until Donnie makes a blunder and Tim defeats him, but he is quickly put down by Mikey, who escaped Nightwing to help Donnie, and as Nightwing battles with Leo, Jason joins in to hold off Mikey. Dick ends up defeating Leo while Jason is defeated by Mikey, although leaving him in bad shape, at the point where both Dick and Mikey, both tired, end up duking it out, with Nightwing, and the Robins, coming out on top

@@8thgod769 The only TMNT content I've seen is portions of the 80's cartoon and the 2003 series, close to 20 years ago. The IDW Turtles were specifically suggested to fight the Robins multiple times in my comment sections, so I went out of my way to binge-read that comic. To say I chose a specific TMNT would imply I know which one's are stronger than the Robins, which I don't; as the only version of the Turtles I've researched and or powerscaled is the IDW comics.

Despite the fact that TMNT is directed towards a younger audience than most DC media, the reality of DC comics is in some ways FAR more cartoonish than that of TMNT. I mean these non-powered humans are dodging light speed projectiles and keeping up with speedsters at times. The Robins win because their reality is broken.

The original Mirage Turtles are consistently the prime universe.
@CRISIS_COMICS Makes sense honestly, Thank you just more confusing then Marvel and DC since they actually confirm which is the Main universe probably did for TMNT just haven't seen it.
@@AwesomeArachnid The editor for the IDW book says he sees the comic as the main series; imo it probably is the original Mirage run as that’s where most of the cartoons and etc draw inspiration for their storylines. Plus both Turtles Forever and Batman/TMNT 3 confirm that the Mirage books are “Turtle Prime”.
