A Sky Painted Gold is one of the most beautifully written books that I've ever read. It surprised me and I adored it so much! I can still remember the feeling that this book gave me, I need to reread it!

Everyone needs a Sam! Both in LOTR and ASOIAF the Sam characters do such a phenomenal job keeping our protagonists on the right path. it's hard saving the world and it would be impossible to do without a precious friend.
Last month, I randomly stumbled upon Under a Dancing Star, Laura Wood's retelling of Much Ado About Nothing set in 1930s in Italy. I read it all in one night and adored it! Definitely one of my surprise favs of 2020!
If you like fantasy books then you should read A Curse so Dark and Lonely and the sequel A Heart so Fierce and Broken. The first book is loosely based on Beauty and the Beast but with so much more action!
Hello! I love these videos you do they give me so many more books to add to my TBR. So I have a side question I live in the u.s. and it's very hot here in August but I was wondering is it chilly in the UK this time of year I noticed your sweater. It is so hot in the United States especially the South we wear as little as possible right now LOL

But in general August is pretty warm, it was about 29 degrees celcius today which I think is like 84 Fahrenheit, and I definitely wasn’t wearing a sweater today😂
I just discovered your channel and I love it! If you have not read it already, I would recommend The Hobbit. It's a quicker read than the trilogy but as much enjoyable. The Silmarillion seems really interesting also, but I haven't read it yet. It apparently gives a lot of backstory to the LOTR. Glad I found your channel and I look forward to see what you will be reading next!
Wow, yeah, I can't believe all of these books were in July... that was a long-ass month... My favorite thriller ever is Mercy by Jussi Adler-Olsen. Maybe you'll try it one day. :)

i think the two towers would be better if the chapters alternated between the different groups, rather than having the first half as one group and the latter half as the others. i was kinda frustrated we'd go for so long without knowing what was happening to the other groups of characters. idk if that made any sense but hopefully it did hahaha
Yeah I totally agree! I started watching the films this week and the Two Towers movie does a much better job of alternating so that you keep up to date with all of the characters and aren’t waiting for ages to see what one set of characters is doing!
I would like to recommend to you the book by N. M. Kelby White Truffles in Winter, it is a romanticised novel about the life of Auguste Escoffier, a renowned French chef. It is full of beautiful descriptions of food and contains recipes and it is an overall exquisite story. Since you've said in one of your videos recently that you love books that have food related plots and topics, here you go! 😊
I think you would really like "The mirror visitor" by Christel Dabos. Its a fantasy book series of four volumes with a whole beautiful universe and a marvelous writing !
It’s almost all the opposite for me with the LOTR.. I LOVED the two towers and absolutely HATED the fellowship of the ring 😹 and I found the first part of the the two towers very interesting and fast paced whereas the second part got a bit long winded towards the end.. still a great read though :D
Hahahah, that’s so funny! One of my favourite things about booktube is hearing other people’s thoughts and it’s so interesting that we can both have read the same books but have such different experiences! Totally agree though, both are such great reads!☺️
