    Best gloves ever invested and I'm a Muay Thai Boxer, best ones and never looked back since. Got the red ones for the 8oz and Gold as well for my 16's.

    Lace is always the better option. Not sure why you shoved the laces in. Ive never been to a boxing gym, even one where I was just stopping in where I couldn’t find someone willing to tie my gloves. It takes 30 seconds. And with the invention of lace n loops you’re able to do it yourself. Always laces over Velcro. No matter if you’re Pro. Amateur. Or novice.

    • @BoxingSense
      @BoxingSense  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I get your point but it depends on the class type as well, Lace isn't good if you have to take them off to wear pads or do conditioning/strength circuits where there's no time to do this. If the gym is you go in and do your own thing then yeah, of course

    Winnings are expensive, but they really protect your money makers and last a really long time.
    I’ve had my 10oz for five years now and they’re just as good as the first day I got them despite heavy use.
    I don’t compete anymore, yet I use them for close to 20 rounds every other day.

      hahah, yeah that's true, groin guard lasts forever. I've seen Kambosis use his white groin guard over a lifetime

      You obviously don't train everyday then because they don't last 5 years when your competing, mine last 2 years and insight it wasnt worth the cost, although i did love them

    If I were to use winning ms600 lace up gloves for hard heavy bag workout use only, how long will they last me? Please let me know, thanks

    • @BoxingSense
      @BoxingSense  ปีที่แล้ว

      At least 5 years, but if you take care of it properly, like airing it out after training maybe 10+, depends on your technique, don't want to wear out a specific part of the glove

  • @jesusfonseca654

    Ok I understand, I have a question for you, is the Velcro glove top heavy compare to the lace up version? Since the Velcro doesn’t have much wrist support, is the gloves weight more on the top of the glove compare to the lace up version? Please let me know, thank you

  • @jesusfonseca654
    @jesusfonseca654 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey bro, great video! Quick question, does the 16oz have more padding in the knuckle area over the 14oz? Is it a big difference? Or is it a minimal difference? Please let me know, thank you

    • @BoxingSense
      @BoxingSense  ปีที่แล้ว

      I feel like it's a significant difference, 16oz lace ups can feel top heavy, might be the same if it's Velcro

    • @BoxingSense
      @BoxingSense  ปีที่แล้ว

      I mean I've also got a 16oz Velcro and it has less at the knuckles

      The gold looks beautiful after they’ve been beat up. They turn into this brownish/gold color. You can google juan Manuel Marquez wearing his gold winning gloves for reference.

    Is there a huge size difference in the winning 14 oz vs 16 oz. like in terms of the glove compartment and the wrist area. I’m 5,5 and I’m looking to buy the 14 oz vs the 16 oz it would be great if you could help out thanjs

    Nice points! tip on laced winning gloves, you can use elastic laces

    • @BoxingSense
      @BoxingSense  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Have tried it, might the the ones i used but i don't feel it is as tight, you like them?

    • @CoachKussenVuist
      @CoachKussenVuist 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BoxingSense yes! for me its awesome, when i coach classes i switch a lot between pads and gloves.
      When i lace them with the elastic laces i go from top to bottom just like a normal glove but when at the bottom i put the laces back in the glove and pull them out halfway.
      from there i lace them like normal.

    • @BoxingSense
      @BoxingSense  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CoachKussenVuist Ah i see, maybe i got the wrong elastics, the tightness isn't as good, but i used to wear Winning without lacing them up, i would just tuck them in and had no issues.

    You are going to hurt your shoulder throwing hooks like that. Looping them with so much effort and making contact with the heavy bag put a lot of wear on your rotator cuff.

    Winning its pretty accurate with their gloves... yours feel heavier due to the time probably and lace ups always be better than velcros, not for pros, you can be amateur and fight for golden gloves and u need to take care of your wrist, whats going on with your gyms guys, here im mexico there is always someone who can tie the laces for you
