    The Behringer WING is a 48-stereo-channel digital mixer that’s both ultra-powerful and incredibly easy to use. Benefit from first-class hands-on control of the Behringer WING, thanks to 24 smooth-feeling motorized 100mm faders, a capacitive touchscreen, adjustable display wheel, and touch-sensitive rotary controls. Capture sound with the utmost in quality, courtesy of eight MIDAS Pro mic preamps, while a bevy of digital I/O options provide near-limitless connectivity. Record up to 64 channels directly to dual-SD cards, use optional expansion cards to attain Dante, SoundGrid, or MADI support, or deploy the WING’s built-in 48-in/48-out USB audio interface to record straight to your DAW. Getting around the Behringer WING is a breeze, thanks to its intuitive Sources, which put the emphasis on your source audio rather than the nuts and bolts of your mix. The Behringer WING comes complete with 16 true-stereo processors with standard and classic modeled effects, the Behringer WING is a top-shelf digital console that will elevate your live sound capabilities.
    Behringer WING - made for the way you want to work
    Digital mixers like the Behringer WING are insanely powerful; thus they can seem intimidating. But that’s not the case with the Behringer WING. Despite its deep feature set, it’s a breeze to navigate. Its interface centers around a large capacitive touchscreen that’s augmented by touch-sensitive rotary controls. Best of all, the Behringer WING has three fader sections and Custom Controls section that can be tailored to your personal requirements. It doesn’t get much more intuitive than that! Whether you require a specific bus send fader next to the corresponding channel fader, or a meticulously configured custom channel that’s always at the ready, the Behringer WING is made for the way you want to work.
    Sources on the Behringer WING make navigation simple
    The Behringer WING is jam-packed with I/O - 374 inputs and outputs, to be exact. And if you include its internal signals, the Behringer WING includes 400 inputs and outputs. Faced with this much I/O, Behringer’s engineering team reimagined the flow of a traditional mixer, putting the emphasis on your source audio, using what Behringer calls - quite fittingly - Sources. In the Behringer WING, inputs are much more than historical inputs, because they contain metadata on what the Source is - tags, input icon, input color, gain, phantom power, and if the Source is mono, stereo, or mid-side. All of that information follows the Source to any channel on the Behringer WING. With one simple button, that information can be copied to the channel, and the tags, icon, color, and other metadata show up on the channel immediately. If you move a Source to another channel on the Behringer WING, the information goes with it, no need for old fashioned copying and pasting.
    The implementation is carefully thought out, as well. Let’s face it, labeling and gain-staging 374 Sources can take some time. The workload can be easily split between two people as the Behringer WING is ready for dual operators. One person can be in charge of labeling the channels, including name, icon, color, tags, multiple mute groups, mono/stereo/mid-side configuration, and more. Using the 4-channel area of the Behringer WING as a separate work area, a second person can be in charge of gain-staging and determining phantom power for each source. To make things easier still, this can also be done from the Behringer WING Co-Pilot tablet app to label or set any of the parameters while patching from the stage. The beauty of this is whether you are looking at a channel, SD recorder, or any other output, you will always see and be able to refer to the Source.

    Looks great. So many people say x32 sucks... mate if you can't make a performance sound good with x32 then you are the problem... This looks lovely.

    • @correnolsonlighting391
      @correnolsonlighting391 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can make it sound good. You can't make it sound great. Obviously there are a lot of personal preferences involved, but in my experience, the X32 summing is terrible. I can make individual channels sound pretty decent, but once you start trying to bring everything together, it just falls apart. To be fair, I am used to desks like Yamaha CL-Series and Digico S and SD series, so there is a huge cost difference, but that difference does make a pretty drastic sound quality difference.

    • @LiamGaughan
      @LiamGaughan 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@correnolsonlighting391 'you can't make it sound great'... We'll have to agree to disagree on that one. I am interested to know your thoughts on what summing problems are inherent to one digital mixer over another though? As far as I understand it, a digitally summed path should be identical. It is on DAWs so it should be on mixers set to the same bit depth and sample rate also.

    • @correnolsonlighting391
      @correnolsonlighting391 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LiamGaughan I can't really tell you what causes it, I can only tell you what I hear. I can mix on the X32, and I mix on the CL, and there are definite sound quality differences. Maybe it isn't the summing specifically, but some combination of everything.

I'm extremely concerned with the lack of explanation about DAW integration (Logic for me) and the fact that there is NO USERS MANUAL or PHONE SUPPORT. These two things kinds scare the H*ll out of me. behringer's decision to buy midas is one of the greatest move that they could ever make, from the vintage synths to mixers, they are killing it right now, behringer used to be the brand who get a lot of flak in the audio community and people love to make fun of it, but now they made the customers think on why should they spend tons of extra money for buying a name.
    i hope this thing will affect the market just like behringer affected the affordable synths market.

      Uli Behringer is the sole Founder and CEO of Music Tribe, and the reason that companies do this is to reap the benefit of a holding company. making a new holding company with a new name and moving it to another country such as the Philippines will get him advantages on taxes and subsidies from the government. in reality it's just Behringer... Uli is the one who's taking the shots.

    The Wing will be a major step up in complexity and we'd better get better documentation and training support than a 1/2 done Wiki! or the result will be more mediocre operating and show quality. (Yes I know that there are excellent people running X/M32's out there, but
    far too many venues operate their X32s by saying to the junior mixer, "Load scene 3 and DON'T touch anything!.

    Some really innovative thinking here, especially having sources configured independently, and channels inheriting the properties of the sources they are currently utilizing as inputs. Capacitive touch screen is a very good decision, vs. resistive used on a well-known competitor's design. Not having to link channels for stereo or mid-side usage is great. Basically, this unit requires an AES50-connected stage box in most scenarios, since only 8 mic pre-amps on board, but that's okay - very few of us are using analog snakes these days. Also, the premium effects rack seems very promising, although time will tell how well these live up to their brand names.
