Wow! Thank you Pastor David. This teaching is so well received. The LORD told me to get started memorizing His Psalms a couple of months ago. I am almost done memorizing Psalm 2 now, and it's so beautiful - how God is reaching down to me through this. He rescued me, a broken vessel, 7 years ago while I was in rehab. He has showed me how to live right and to love and trust, and to raise my son. Jesus is my delight and I am ever grateful. Just wanted to share. Your teachings are so awesome. I can literally see the Holy Spirit in you. Have a blessed day my Brother in the Lord. ✝️

Thank you Pastor David. I love your sermons and especially this one. I found it interesting what you said about God's/Jesus' "yoke". I never thought of it that way. Since I was a little girl and felt sick or fearful or lost and confused I would always call upon Jesus to come "sit" with me. To let me feel his presence near to comfort me. To this day whenever I call upon Jesus I can almost literally feel his hand in mine. I always feel like he takes my hand to either sit with me to offer comfort and support or to lead me out of darkness. I have never ever felt anything like a "yoke". I have always felt Jesus firm but gentle hand in mine that never fails to lead, guide and comfort me. Thank you again for your wonderful videos. Blessed be.♡

I love what you shared here. Now when I think of the Lord, I feel His presence and see His help all throughout my life. But before He rescued me, 7 years ago, I was a total wretch - in a pit of sin, and I considered Jesus to be a yoke of slavery. I was completely deceived! Back then I was in chains of despair and being pulled down through my love of my sin. What a nightmare! Now that I've been redeemed, I'm a completely new person - it's so amazing! Now everything makes sense. The shackles of sin don't hold me down anymore. The LORD truly opened my eyes, and I see now that I'm able to be totally FREE in Jesus, and that I was actually in bondage without Him.... Now, how to convince all those still stuck in that pit 🤔...I'll keep praying because I know only God can truly do it. Nobody convinced me, but Jesus literally came into where I was, all alone, in a rehab, and He showed me He's real and to trust Him. Praise God!

I'd say that this is perhaps the single most important psalm in the Bible, and even one of the most important parts of the entire Bible. This psalm, written 1000 years before the birth of Christ, describes the interaction between God the Father and His Son. It describes the Messiah as being born with a divine purpose in mind: to conquer the heathen nations of the world and to rule over them. This psalm is referenced several times in the New Testament, each time identifying Christ as the Anointed One spoken of in Psalm 2. The reference in Hebrews highlights the uniqueness of Christ being born as the Son of God the Father; not being a created being, but rather, being begotten of by the Father.
The book of Revelation references Psalm 2 on three occasions. In chapter 2, Psalm 2 is paraphrased by Jesus, telling His followers that those who overcome and keep His works will be given power over the nation; the same power which Jesus was given by the Father, as prophesied in Psalm 2. Revelation 12 describes the birth of the Messiah, referencing Psalm 2, describing how the Messiah will rule over the nations. Then finally in chapter 19, the Second Coming of Jesus is described, including how He will smite the nations and rule over them, fulfilling the prophecy of Psalm 2, as well as fulfilling several other prophecies in the Old Testament.
All in all, Psalm 2 is so intimately wrapped up in the very identity of Christ. It is a part of Christ's identity to become a conquering King who will rule over the nations.

This is the Proton Psalm. Jesus was crowned king of kings. He sat down at the right hand of the father. He now co-reigns. He "draws" us to himself with cords of love. Elect is the greek word for drawn. We American have a first family. Some nations have a premeire or a prime minister. The Mercy Seat was placed in the nuclear position within the pattern of all things. The Proton Psalm tells us who the wicked are. They want to cut those cords "asunder.". God says, "seek my face." My heart answered, Thy face O Lord I will seek. The Lord my God is One. He is son, father. holy spirit, and a oneness who is God Almighty, the Most High God. Man is 3 parts and a whole. Heart, soul, mind, and the spirit of life in his blood. When all of him is quickened, he can properly love God. With the good part quickened, he becomes a son of God. @David Guzik. No one believes in the Way. The way of life has become obscure to eyes and ears which have not been fully open. Mark, matthew, luke and john are the hebrew titles of 4 consecutive classes. (Btw, I love your teachings.)

Thank you for the enduring words, sir.
What the psalmist meant by kings and judges is man, all man, and woman.
Kings and judges refer to sovereigns, images of God.
To be created in the image of God means to be created with sovereignty, to be created as a sovereign, a king, and a judge over their fate and destiny in the universe that God sets upon (meaning in accordance with His will).

Hello All…when I see those words, Rejoice with trembling, they remind me of a lesson to not embrace or cling to a good gift or blessing too tightly, to see these things in the right perspective. Do not lift it too high in reverence or look for it to bring honor to you. Be prepared to let it go, that we Rejoice in the Lord in its highest sense, it is where we find that trembling is not a precursor.

I see the kiss mentioned in verse 12 as a kiss of loyalty: the kind of kiss that a loyal knight would give to his king; a kiss which is a sign of loyalty and allegiance to the king; where the knight would bow down on one knee before his king and kiss him on the back on the hand.

This is been written by Holy Spirit for Jesus against devil and his dominions as they are in fetters and they conspire against Jesus in the spirit. These things happening in spirit, meant for those who know and things are happening in spirit now.

@David Guzik. "The Reign of the Lord 's Anointed" This is a title that confirms the inerrancy of this as The Proton Psalm in that "Proton" was synonymous with "sovereign" according to my old British dictionary. Souverain in the old French.

The word "today" refers to today. Not trying to be sarcastic! :-) If a person hears that message today, then today is when they should respond to God. For those who heard that word centuries ago, that was their "today". For us, now is our "today" moment. Hope this helps! Blessings!
