Parker had another good song the year b4, 'I'm in Love With the Other Woman', got the same kind of backbeat bass. And focusing on that, I wonder if Rick James gave an assist - his backup dancers The Mary Jane Girls (which I think is a sly allusion to weed) did 'In My House', which def has James laying down some serious twangy bass backbeat.

It seems we know that three celebrities who made a cameo in this music video, passed away. John Candy died in Durango while filming Wagons East in 1994 at age 43 due to a heart attack. In 2011, Peter Falk died in Beverly Hills at age 83 due to pneumonia. Recently, just one and a half years ago, in the fall of 2022, Irene Cara died of atherosclerosis and a hypertensive heart disease in her home in Largo, FL near Tampa at the age of 63. She's one popular musician during the first half of the '80s with "Flashdance...What a Feeling" as her biggest single in 1983, but her last big pop single was in 1984 which was "Breakdance" which peaked at #8 on the Billboard Hot 100 for a week just 40 years ago marking her last Top 40 hit on the chart.

Just watched Ghostbusters Afterlife with a few friends, manly tears were shed towards the end of the movie!! This be the true sequel, so can't wait to see this again.
That tribute to the original Ghostbusters in Afterlife bought a tear into my eye. My family and I saw the movie on Harold Ramis' birthday. It was a good way to celebrate on what would've been his 77th birthday. We loved the movie!
Same man, when I watched the ending of afterlife I cried a bucket of tears. Harold Ramis was my favorite ghostbuster and I was absolutely heartbroken when I found out he died. So the ending where Egon's soul is finally at peace followed by the tribute to Harold Ramis makes me cry man. Breaks me everytime I watch that movie
If they don't play this at least once in the new film, we riot. Edit: Stand down guys, apparently they play it at the end credits. Thanks for the likes/support. You'll be glad to know the new film is fairly decent, enough to forget the 2016 film ever happened.
Oh, wow! Truly sorry for your loss, my friend! But at least your wife had superb and excellent taste in movies and music! Pray that she finds eternal peace! At least she has a little something in common with the afterlife now!
I like how he sneaks the line “Bustin’ makes me feel good!” Only in a theme song for Ghostbusters could you get away with this... we all know what you were talking about, Ray!
Lol. Yeah, I'm still wondering how A Tribe Called Quest got away with being uncensored on the radio with their hit song "Electric Relaxation" with the line: "Bust off on your couch now you got Seaman's (semen's) furniture"😂
This song is timeless I started dancing in my theater once this played after the new film. Everyone around me was like whats with this guy? But if your from the 80s you would know automatically. I literally teared up when the real Ghostbusters showed up. It brought everything together. Such a well done film. Thank you Jason Reitman I know Harold was smiling down from the sky. Miss you my friend. RIP
I love this. I’ve read comments about the Bobby Brown song On Our Own from Ghostbusters 2 and people said they remember being in the theatre when this song came on at the end of the movie and people stayed there and danced to it. Iconic.
I was born in the 90s but I feel like I know everything about the 80s, I too did a little dance at the end of the new movie and with everything in the new movie it just felt nostalgic, since Ghostbusters was and is always going to be one of my favorites. Sometimes I quote the old movie and I even do the Ecto 1 noise, I also teared up when I saw Harold on the screen sharing the moment with the other three.
I wasn’t born in the 80s or lived through it, I’m quite young actually, I’m planning on watching the original ghostbusters movies although I’ve seen the newest and I was doing the 2014 just dance dance to the theme. I did also tear up when the og ghostbusters came into the move though I have no correlation with them.

I'll always cherish that first time I was introduced to Ghostbusters by my family when I was little. It was so strange and different to what I watched at that age, I couldn't get enough of it! Resulting in my never ending love for film and the Ghostbusters! Thank you for all the memories and inspiration, rest easy Ivan.

The people who composed this song in the 80's are geniuses.
I don't think it's an old-fashioned song.
It may be an 80s tune, but it’s a good song, and everyone loves it.
❤Hello love *Ghostbusters* I'm a Pop Rock singer ❤greetings
Ray Parker Jr. 👍
Huey Lewis
You should totally listen to "I Want a New Drug" by Huey Lewis and the News

Lov u papiti.!.
It's 2023. After nearly forty years, bustin' still makes me feel good.
My kid : Dad, how was the 80's like ?
Me : * Shows this video.
Damn ghosts, they was trouble for entire of 80's
You're a good father.
@@irons880 no, that was slasher genre. More like thriller
*New york in the 80s, was like the walking dead.*
@@MagicTankGaming no it was cats and dogs living together ,mass hysteria!!!!
Bustin still makes me feel good!! Thanx rpj still the Halloween party song
That tribute to the original Ghostbusters in Afterlife bought a tear into my eye. My family and I saw the movie on Harold Ramis' birthday. It was a good way to celebrate on what would've been his 77th birthday. We loved the movie!
❤Hello love *Ghostbusters* I'm a Pop Rock singer ❤greetings!
I cried like a baby. I thought about the loved ones I lost.
I probably could have felt that intensely about it had the rest of the movie not been unlikable.
VERY underrated party song.
Yes Ray, ‘Bustin’ makes me feel good too
HE HE
If they don't play this at least once in the new film, we riot.
Edit: Stand down guys, apparently they play it at the end credits. Thanks for the likes/support. You'll be glad to know the new film is fairly decent, enough to forget the 2016 film ever happened.
Hell yea, get the torches lol
We Riot lol reminds me of when CM Punk fans in Chicago had sighs that said "If Punk dont win we Riot"
They will.
I suppose it is the actual theme, I would say I'd like Bobby Brown - On Our Own as well, but that feels too tied to Ghostbusters 2.
Watch the new trailer it’s gonna be in it I’m 90% sure
I miss the times when films had such iconic main themes that are still loved and listened even today.
1:25 I don't know who to be more concerned about. The invisible man in sleeping my bed, or the visible man creeping under it.

You know it's an 80s film when it's got its own theme song
Omar Harris Not just a theme song ... a fantastic song that is unique and just a perfect fit for one of the best movies ever made!
I miss movies with original songs :/
Yeah, Now days movies just use pre- existing songs for their music and doesn't bother with original songs.
The song is extremely unique, I agree. That's why Huey Lewis took him to court over the bass line. Lol. What a stupid lawsuit.
GhostBusters not only had its theme song. There was a ton of Merch. I remember toys to clothing it had it all.
OMG I really loved that song when I was young and I still love it after all of those years!
Hetalians Cutie Pie I've also heard that song on the Citroën C3 Picasso Commercial 2009.
Cool
Hetalians Cutie Pie Thanks! :D
I believe from the late 2000's to early 2010's

This one is for my wife who passed away in December 2022. Her absolute favourite film and song.
RIP Stacue love you and miss you loads xxxx
Oh, wow! Truly sorry for your loss, my friend! But at least your wife had superb and excellent taste in movies and music! Pray that she finds eternal peace! At least she has a little something in common with the afterlife now!
You will see her again in the afterlife one day
Sorry for you lose. RIP.
So sorry for your loss! 😢
You can’t even lie, this is the best Halloween song
They got the actual cast to show up in this? AWESOME!
It was AWESOME!
Torterra it was called a music video. Theme Songs as a vid in tv was pretty normal those days. Loved the one for never ending Story
That walk that Bill Murray is doing at 1:38 is a classic in itself. I legit tried doing at work lol 🙃 Legendary movie.

despite being made in the 80s, its one of my favourite songs
It's one of the best dated songs imo.
@@roxassora2706 yeah
I like how he sneaks the line “Bustin’ makes me feel good!” Only in a theme song for Ghostbusters could you get away with this... we all know what you were talking about, Ray!
🥜
........never thought about the line that way until now, so I most definitely did *not* know that. Still don't, actually
unfortunately it’s No Nut November this month 😭😭
well this will be me on Dec 1st: *Bustin’ makes me feel good!*
Bustin does make me feel good!
Lol. Yeah, I'm still wondering how A Tribe Called Quest got away with being uncensored on the radio with their hit song "Electric Relaxation" with the line: "Bust off on your couch now you got Seaman's (semen's) furniture"😂
2:44 Let me tell you something. Bustin' makes me feel good.
bobbygnosis 1:26 that's my teacher from 3rd lol

I thought it was Buster makes me feel good.

The 80s, this era of contemporary music deserved an Oscar.
Happy 40th Anniversary Years old Ghostbusters.🙂👻
This song is timeless
I started dancing in my theater once this played after the new film. Everyone around me was like whats with this guy? But if your from the 80s you would know automatically.
I literally teared up when the real Ghostbusters showed up. It brought everything together. Such a well done film. Thank you Jason Reitman
I know Harold was smiling down from the sky. Miss you my friend. RIP
Be confident u r a confident person dont let anyone tell u u cant dance good one truth smiles on u friend
Me and two other guys got up and did the dance from the end of the cartoon when this started playing in the movie.
You are not alone Sir.
👍🏽👍🏽
I wasn’t born in the 80s or lived through it, I’m quite young actually, I’m planning on watching the original ghostbusters movies although I’ve seen the newest and I was doing the 2014 just dance dance to the theme. I did also tear up when the og ghostbusters came into the move though I have no correlation with them.
