As an german volunteer firefighter it is awsome to see how you work on an fire scene. TV shows are nice to watch but how it's done In real life is much more interesting. You would be surprised how similar we work over here in germany.
Agreed, we are all family, and this has to be one of the BEST videos done that highlights the realities of how and what this work is all about (still love to watch old EMERGENCY episodes for the entertainment though…). Hopefully this video will increase interest in supporting volunteer departments and membership EVERYWHERE!
I actually live right by minquas fire company and they're really cool guys! I got my cpr and stop the bleed certifications there. Always happy to see my hometown on TH-cam!
@@HeroesNextDoor most definitely. It's already hard enough to hear when there's a lot of noise going on. And that right there helps clear everything up
AWESOME videography and production, by far the best done HND video! Excellent job in highlighting so much in fire ground tactics and the REALITIES! Congrats on working with MSA on this project! The new G1 is completely revolutionary, and the VFD in VA that I volunteered at before moving to CA (where VFD’s are a thing of the past…) had transitioned to the G1. This airpack is a game changer, and MSA has set the bar with the technology and features. Keep up the great work and thank you!!!
Awesome training day! Thank you for being an amazing team to work with and to MSA, the Minquas Fire Company No.2, and the EMS crew for making this day possible!
The new quick connect bottle connection is wonderful. We no longer have to fiddle with trying to get the threads started and filling bottles is a lot less fatiguing on my hands & wrists. I also like the pack's bottle guide rails at the bottom & the improved latch system to hold the bottle in place.
This was pretty cool to see sir, and it was also very interesting. I'm currently going into EMS only right now, but I might eventually go into firefighting later down the road. Great video sir.
Awesome video! I just passed my NREMT yesterday, I’m in the hiring process with 2 local fire departments around me. Just got my emt to better my chances are getting picked up for academy! Being a firefighter is my dream career! Nice vid!
We have a training ground similar but since i'm just a cadet we don't use it as often. We go twice a year, once we will use the smoke machines and do a search to find our "dummies". The second time we do more training with the hoses, ladders and opening doors. This video really shows how things are done and what it's all about! In Canada here our firefighters do it really similar.
There is no specific time limit. It depends on the burn and structural integrity. The officers for the company are constantly reevaluating the scene safety.
I PERSONALLY hate the Bluetooth and Voice amplification on our G1s at work. I think it makes it harder to hear people on the radio. Also, the hose on the regulator is thick and can sometimes move the face piece around when you’re sweaty.
Yes, most paid services make you become at least an EMT. Volunteer services don’t usually require anything, they usually help you get a first responder certification so you know very basic first aid
At my volunteer station you can become a probationary firefighter with cpr certification, and fire training. In order to become non-probationary you have to get EMT. It’s also required to get EMT within 3 years of firefighter certification. Everywhere is different though.
We just upgraded from the Firehawk M7's to the G1's and most of of people in our department that I've talked to, don't like the G1's all that much due to the extra weight, "additions" that seem to do nothing for the wearer, etc. Personally I've never worn a Scott so I can't compare the two.
Wow nice ppg. Our brigade didn't have much like that ppe if there's a good heart who can donate old ppe we accept anything our brigade located to Philippines hope someone that can help us💖
@@HeroesNextDoor Hope they help us, its ok if its dirty and old we accept anything we super in need thankyou for your time i always watching your videos

Ich habe mir ein Video der Feuerwehrausbildung angesehen und finde es sehr interessant. Hallo aus den USA.
yash, exactly
Best video so far, FF Borrello! Thank you so much for this!
I have always loved doing hydraulic ventilation, it pulls so much more smoke in my opinion than doing it by PPV or smoke ejector

Haven’t watched the vid yet but I’m guessing it’s gonna be a banger as always
It’s a good one for sure! We have been working on this video for weeks!
Man love how clear and loud it sounds you can understand everything clear
Yeah, it’s honestly a game changer. It’s crystal clear

Thank you for posting this video because when I grow up I want to be a firefighter this videos teaches me what to do when there is a real fire
Good luck it’s a great careers
Great shots from this training day! I like how you showed the strategy behind what the firefighters we're doing, another great one!
Thanks dude! We have a couple more coming out soon!

Great production, best video yet.
Thanks that means a lot!
My department just switched to the G1 in the spring. It's great
Those SCBAs are SICK!! The voice amplification is really cool!
Incredible video! The filming, editing and production team behind this are on point!

Awesome video and my department runs the MSA G1 pack absolutely love it
Great Vid; I'm in fire academy right now, and we're currently covering HAZMAT rn
Very nice video, if you ever visit Paris, France, it would be my pleasure to take you on an ambulance tour !
Good training
Really good video
Thanks!
And Bluetooth to connect to the radio. Or whilst you want to listen to some tunes whilst saving the day
G1 is nice but firehawk will always be my baby
Your my favorite TH-camr
Thanks!
@@HeroesNextDoor welcome and I’ve watched your vids since you were at 1k
I think you should integrate these training videos into regular uploads!!
Yep we are working on that. We have a couple already and more to come
My first time doing search training in a fully smoked out training building resulted in me running straight into a wall 😂
Is it a locality thing that the bottom rear of the turnout coat has firefighter names instead of their City/Town name?
Must be. We like to have some ID on the person
We have names on the tails of our jackets, and the station name and number on the back. The majority around me have names on the tail of the jacket.
I hear the bluetooth version better non-amplified
How long do they have in say multi storey fire before the firefighters have to retreat , is it usually 2/ 3 mins before the chief orders everyone out
There is no specific time limit. It depends on the burn and structural integrity. The officers for the company are constantly reevaluating the scene safety.
Mike, what fire department(s) are you a part of and where?
I work at multiple stations. Minquas in Downingtown, Westwood in Coatesville, and Uwchlan in Exton. All in PA. Where are you from?
I PERSONALLY hate the Bluetooth and Voice amplification on our G1s at work. I think it makes it harder to hear people on the radio. Also, the hose on the regulator is thick and can sometimes move the face piece around when you’re sweaty.
That’s why we do reviews.
I have a gear question how come the American fire helmets are so different from say the European ones ?
Hey man I have a question can you be a firefighter without being met?
Yes, most paid services make you become at least an EMT. Volunteer services don’t usually require anything, they usually help you get a first responder certification so you know very basic first aid

What was the guy doing @1:14
Setting up the pump pressure. They are in the cab
are those MSA bottles glowing in the dark?
Yes yes they are
@@HeroesNextDoor that’s pretty cool to help identify your crew in a fire
G1 packs are better than the old FireHawks but you just can’t beat the quality of Scott packs.
We would love to review the Scott too.
